Nice reaction. Pretty sure this song addresses the current state of hip hop and mumble rappers. How everyone sounds alike, but they're literally given everything for zero effort and actual rap doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Which is absolutely true.
Many people miss the contrast between Joyner at the start of the song talking about "Being hungry with an empty plate and he wants a Grammy but will probably never get it". Then, Em comes in and talks about, "Being full, licking his plate clean, and having Grammy's that he sold his soul to get".
2:30 Eminem has another song I forget the name, Maybe Venom. It talks about exactly what you just said here and how the Grammy's invite and nominate many powerful and known singers to feed off of them like a parasite and give the Grammy to someone no one has ever heard of that possibly didn't even write his own song.
