The thing about Em was that wasn’t purposefully trying to say offensive shit. He said what he thought and he said it when he felt like it. He’s one of the realest to have ever picked up a mic and there will never be another era like Em’s in the early to late mid 2000s.
What 20 years later still holds up it would be so empty without Em

I remember this making every god d*amn billboard when it came out - and the vibe of the song was so different to everything else that was playing - but even the haters started converting when this came out because you can not AVOID vibing along to the song. Haters didn't get any ammo to hate on Em until DMX released his "Grand Champ" album about 1 year later :D

He’s fucking amazing at catching every god damn bar there is. And especially for songs like Kill Shot. You may think Kill Shot was already a crime, but once you know all the bars, it’s other worldly.

Eminem got big with the real slim shady. his second album was marshall matters and some people didn't like that this persona wasn't as crazy and over the top. that's what the "he's back" refers to. They also blamed him for kids listening to his album, so the video is basically him making fun of how it would look like if rappers had to police who listens to heir albums.
