The Jabeur tweener at 6:22 😎
Not a big deal for me to show off she gave Danielle an easy point you must be focus to win games and not do a show and stuff IMO.
Jabeur is having fun out there, showing off her skills, which young girls need to see! She's a super talented player!
@@dimvalsgames9721 just shut up abd enjoy the game
A rare Collins' hug at net. Great sportsmanship. Appreciate her aggressive game, focus, and notable reduction of shouting "Come on!!"
She can win slams and big titles with this game and focus.
Yes, she is ready.
Love her come ons
@@black_nebula kaman
Number #1 American.
@@kevinowens7874 Lol Form is temporary, class is permanent. Stephens, Kenin won a GS; Kenin is struggling due to illness and injuries but she will certainly bounce back; Keys has a GS final n an SF as well , and had a 1000 title, and is younger, she certainty has a brighter future than Kaman.
Collins is in the form of her life. Jabeur played some incredible shots. Entertaining tennis
Not really
Love to see the sportsmanship at the end. Good battle. Appreciated by both players. Well done, both!
This doesn’t get talked about enough!
Really? Jabeurs said some really nasty things about Collins behind her back...
@@polo2898 would feel more genuine if ons didn’t speak about collins in a very nasty way...
Anyone else think it’s weird that the commentator called Jabeur “the African”? You wouldn’t call someone “the European”
all the players hugs ons jabeur at the end of the match she is so friendly and she has a nice personnality !! PROUD AFRICAN !!!
Two of my favorite players. They're both playing so well, so sad they had to play this early in the tournament. I think Collins can go deep!! :)
Haven’t seen returns like that in so long… i really hope Collins can maintain this form for a long time!!
Now that Collins calmed down with the screams of "COME ON!" after EVERY single point she is way more focused and is just ripping it! She's a beast! In the best way possible!
she made it to the final of the australian open with her “come on” attitude. just ‘cause you don’t like it, doesn’t mean it wasn’t working for her-because it certainly was.
@@mafthew agreed if she likes it that way and helping her who we are to judge her! Its a difficult very technical sport one vs one no team sport there like soccer or basketball so the players and why not Danielle must use whatever they can to manage to win games and at this level that most of the girls are the best in the world top 10 top 20 they need all the help the could find from them selfs and coach of course fans and more IMO.👍👍
just shows that the grunters could stop if they wanted to. better for the fans if all this "noise" ends.
@@karenv8351 Motivational self-talk after points isn't a problem, not comparable in any way with the loud and long grunts masking the sound of the ball.
@@mafthew Did you watch her matches at the AO? Cause I did and her "COMEO NS" after every point did not happen, she was focused and hyped herself up when she decided she needed to. She was not screaming COME ON after every point like she used to. You obviously did not see her matches in previous seasons as opposed to the past 6 months.
No doubt Collins has the best backhand on women's tour. Combine that with a gutsy fighting spirit and no major weaknesses, she really does have what it takes to win slams. Now Barty has retired, I fancy her chances even more.
Danielle's mobility is a bit of a weakness.
Not really
Danielle is on fire - making top 10 players look mediocre. If she keeps up this focus and remains uninjured, she could be a real threat again at the other slams this year
Nah, she lost once again. As usual.
Well done, Danielle. I love this girl. I hope she wins.
Whatever it is Jabeur plays a beautiful clean great Tennis ever. So far the best player for me after Ash Barty! I love these girls games.
i think i’m gonna get the osaka vs. collins match i was hoping for 😋 excited
Collins has a sledgehammer of a backhand.
Jabeur put up a good battle and I think the ending needed more highlights. It looked like OJ might win the 2nd set and then Dani was up match point. Hopefully Dani stays healthy enough to keep playing.
what a beautiful hug at the end.. 😍😍
c'mon danielle win it all 👏👏👏
Collins might have the best backhand I've ever seen on the WTA tour. She has such incredible power and can go either way with that shot. Dynamite!
Nah, not at all
This is the first time i see Collins hug an opponent.
She's very huggy off the court.
Truly, she always like aloof and unapproachable. But I guess that's just her focus.
because Ons is so adorable.
Collins is looking really sharp! Hope she makes it to the end.
Congratulations Danielle, my favourite tennis player. I love you, greetings from Bulgaria
Danielle Collins with a hug after the match? I feel like I've stepped into a Star Trek type parallel universe.
Great battle between two strong players
I'm super pumped for naomi vs danimal !!
Very well Collins ❤️
Best tweener I've ever seen. Because she really had little time to do anything else.
After the injury , Ons is trying to find her consistency that got her into the top 10, but collins is a tough player and the result was no surprise. I hope Ons keeps playing and having fun as she usually does, after all loving the game is what makes you the best.
Yes, but she needs to work harder if she wants to stay in the top 10. The girls are all getting better.
@@jeffreylara3835 indeed , in terms of the level , we see that anett and paula for example are getting better and better , yet you get the feeling that Ons has reached her best. I hope she finds a way to upgrade her game and level up with anett and Paula.
Jabeur is the female version of Krygios.. The respect at the end is so classy,
Good battle. Collins is a focused fighter.
Yay! My hopes are that Collins doesn’t get distracted with being a top seed and continues pushing this momentum. She deserves to go far, always a great competitor! 💪🏽
Wow… if you don’t have those first serves dialed in, Collins will just eat you alive. Nice exchange at the net. Jabeur seems like a kind person. Glad to see the neck injury hasn’t effected Collins too much. She seemed like she was suffering last match.
Jabeur seems like one of the nicest girls on tour.
@@Irfan87 which cannot be said about Collins 😉
Collins might go to the final. Great shape.
Collins might win Miami but 1GA🇵🇱 will definitely seek for the revenge for semi AO22.
Great Match of tennis Danielle Collins is on fire Iga Świątek must watch out don't want a repeat of the Australian open 2022 you guys remember ?
(5:24) it was strange to hear the commentator refer to Jabeur as the African and not the Tunisian. He didn't call Collins the North American. Did he forget which country Jabeur is from? 😄
Amei essa vitória collins.desbancou o jogo esnobe da Jabour
Wowww amazing 🤩 game by one of my favorite American Tennis star 🎾 beautiful and georgous, Daniel Collins 😍 and what nice incredible performance by ONS jabeur 😍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 and Thanks for this Wonderful Game 🙏 Godbless greetings from the Philippines sir vhin 🇵🇭🙏👏👏👏👏👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙂
5:24 did the commentator say "very difficult for the African"??? Does he refer to a French player as "the European" or a Canadian player as "the North American"??
Classic match
Another nice game Danielle Collins ♥️,I love you♥️ Danielle Collins
Collins vs Osaka. Gonna love the bullets fired! No pushing.
"Very difficult for the African" 🙄Would the commentator refer to Swiatek as "The European" or Osaka as "The Asian" or does Africa just all blend into one?
Came to the comments for this 🙄
I thought that I was the only one who noticed that. She could have just said, "very difficult for the Tunisian".
I get you. But today, I am gonna be naughty and push you a little; intentionally:
Officer Thomas Breathnach pulled all of us over and giving all of us a traffic ticket--tennis special. Sir, Thank you for policing.
Not a good reason but my personal reason nonetheless: It is critically important for me to recognize that I shouldn't be heavily shaming anyone for being politically incorrect when I can see/hear that there was absolutely no harm intended. The commentator, if you notice, had no sense of he did something bad. Someone with bad intentions would have noticably sounded guilty upon realizing what he said. He said it with the same cadence of "It's 25 degrees outside."
No harm done.
I hope he learns.
Move on.
maybe he wanted to show off his incredible geography knowledge and tell everyone that Tunisia is in Africa
@MaxShine
Yes yes yes
Queen of C‘mon, Queen of WTA,… Muy Bonita Muchacha for sure,… 👏👍✌️☝️😎
Way to go Collins !!!

i would like to see Collins vs Swiatek
ชอบสไตล์กานเล่นของคอลลินมาก aggressive ดี เหมือนแม่จะรีบตีรีบกลับไปนอน
probably a swiatek vs collins final (if they don't verse each other in the quarter or semi finals)
Can't wait to see Iga destroy her.
@@hovz-zo8lf iga got distroyed at the AO by Collins
@Deus Ex Machina Yea she was. But Swiatek played without any strength then, not like she usually does. Probably because she was exhausted from previous matches in that temperature. Anyway I think this will be the most interesting match this tournament and it’s hard to say who has a better chance. Definitely not destruction from 1 side.
@@deusexmachina9776 Iga has already defeated her somewhere
Two lovely ladies, liking Jabeur more and more .
2:52 powerful action by jabeur 👏👏 but she gets easily frustrated and loses focus.
I like both of them but glad Collins got the win
Great match from DRC. Looking fearsome.
Nice
1st time i see Collins smile...
She is lovely and funny and sweet, but not on the court.
@@L.A.C_Santos Exactly -- hoping for big things from Ms. Collins this year!
Very friendly and respectful of her opponents. But on court she's all bussiness.
What's with the guy commentator saying the African many times? I get it but doesn't Jabeur represent Tunisia? I mean, I'm sure this is accepted but.... Well played Collins.
Tunisia is in Africa, what is there not to get? He's not inaccurate. It's not like players from European countries aren't referred to as European lol
@@hovz-zo8lf when have you ever heard the phrase "European fans" huh
@@hovz-zo8lf oh. Thanks for the geography lesson. Was it hard to say Tunisia?
yeah and also 'number one american' lmao just say the names
Jabeur is from North Africa and she is a Berber (probably with little Arab DNA) as they were colonized by Arabs.
Collins level Of Focus is on another Level😀
06:28 omg this is why l love tennis 🎾
We have 2022 year and main WTA chanell upload wideos at 720p. It's kind of joke to me.
My big love Danimal! 💋💋💋💗💋💗💋💗💋💗💋💗💋
"The African?" Lol. Africa is a continent. Like North America. Do you think when there's a tennis player from Mexico, Bermuda, or Greenland this commentator refers to any of them as "the North American"? Of course not. I mean, no shame in being on the continent of Africa but seems really weird to keep referring to Ons that way.
Jabeur didn't play too bad; however, if she wants to remain in the top 10, she needs to work much harder. She needs to improve her second serve, and take some chances on it. She can't just go the backhand on every second serve. Also, those drop shots are becoming a liability. Players are now excepting it, and they are ready for it.
she has a bad inexperienced staff to change her way of playing
Can Danielle beat Naomi today??
A fit and healthy Collins is easily a top 5 player in today's lousy field. She's my favourite to win this.
Today's lousy field? Lol, been watching tennis for two weeks? Only possible explanation for such total lack of comprehension
I agree to some extent. What I see in Collins is mental strength. Let's be honest the current crop of players don't seem as mentally strong as they were 20 years ago...not sure if it's a generational thing.
Acknowledging the privilege that we still have to be able to exchange ideas and being able to disagree without being disagreeable AND also acknowledging that my comment has the potential to be over the top and outrageously long that it may present and warrant a question of my intentions:
I believe it does stem from mental health. The preceding sentence does not endorse or oppose the arrival of mental health as a now commonly discussed topic in sports.
Personally, it will be perilous for me to say that this is just a small and simple issue and these people just need to "grow up", "grow a pair", and brush off their "river of tears".
I would like to intentionally recognize that the topic of mental health with the tennis players in question puts them as the guinea pigs of an otherwise unexplored and quite frankly a very sensitive topic as it deals with the abstract and sometimes the very hidden parts of the human mind.
These players, I feel, are the very first generation to have to deal with this topic whether they bring it upon themselves or they comment on it: the very words "mental health" can really get to you. For example someone who opposes mental health as being a factor like those who oppose the reasoning of Osaka or Simone Biles are very very bothered by this yet they are not being harmed but they seem to be very passionate about it; so it's getting to them. Hmmm. Poor argument from me, I think.
It then becomes a battle of the abstract, a thing a topic that we can not tangibly see and/or physically see. This really opens up for a destruction of communication which you can imagine these young players are feeling sometimes. They feel a certain way on one hand but depending on how they feel about mental health they expect that they are being understood but the moment that it is clear to them that they are totally misunderstood it is a war of invisible swords. Yes. Invisible Swords.
I actually have to go eat lunch now so unfortunately my comment will pretty much lose justification so I will just end it like this:
Mental health is a war that is invisible.
Anyone can create their "weapons" the way they want to. Sometimes those weapons inevitably hurts themselves.
So, a tennis player's critic(s) has total opportunity to make any criticism since it is in fact for them something that they cannot see, without evidence. (Osaka-tears-grow-up) Anyone can decide that they are winners or losers.
I am an American and I'm blaming all of this on the woke left agenda that has poisoned the entire world.
Mental health is a thing and is very serious but the American left wing promoted it in the worst possible way.
I'm not happy to write these words but I have already predicted that this comment will receive a lot of criticism even without the presence of likes or dislikes. Regardless, I stand by what I wrote. I leave this comment knowing that some people thought this has nothing to do with tennis because I wrote so long that immediately think something's wrong with me. I write that disparaging comment so I can back it up right away that it's really hard for me to change the way I communicate so next time a young child talks the way I do or writes the way I do please do not criticize. (Random comment. Got ultra emotional here. I'm a violinist and teacher. The way I teach my students is one of the most serious things I've ever done in my life so every word I say every action I do will impact them even if they didn't care.)
TL;DR - This Miguel guy what a freak Jesus Christ
A lousy field? You have to be joking.

Go Danielle go 😜👀
I am 😍 in love
I hate when Danielle doesn’t acknowledge a good point from her opponent! Show some love girl ❤️❤️❤️
Stern-looking she may be but Danielle is, nonetheless, so lovely to watch; whether dashing about with a racket in hand or just standing still...🌹
Jabeur have 1001 trick shots.
Be interesting to see how Collins goes on clay.
Cuidado iga,Collins tá chegando
Well done, Danielle. Keep this up and beat up Iga when and if you play her.
You played well, too, Ons, it just was not your day.
Up the danimal.
When Collins is on, she's tough to beat.
Danielle Collins is lady-Agassi ground stroke! Wow! 🎾💥💪😍🤩😇🥳👏
Good Job Collins, Jabeur...same results...In my opinion...Need a new coach... Good Luck !
Soooo bad Jabeur today but Collins made her best match this tour too so good for her
the only thing i dislike about collins is that she always looks like she is not happy to be there. lol
Collins is from America and Jabeur is from Africa, got it
the commentator decide to make them represent for thier continents.
Would be great if Collins can win this title 💚👑🏆 lets go! Get it 💫🚀
Collins always looks like she is mad or something.
Question: who is the american no.1 again?
Looks like “Danimal” is healthy again and playing no nonsense first strike 🎾. Without a great serve, her opponents will always be under pressure
Mark my words Collins will soon be a world #1
Who cant?
ons = female Nick Kyrgios with good temper
Collins has so much going for her, but she seems like she is just full of bitterness.
She looks like comedian Chelsea Handler, they both seem mean and have a hard demeanor.
I am glad Danielle didn't scream all day and yell at her bofriend.👏
The result nobody wanted.
camera angle sucks...
I love seeing the women smiling and hugging at the net. Well played…..move on.
It's not often but players seem to get along particullary with Ons
It was a bit unfortunate that these ladies had to play each other at this stage! This could easily have been the Final! On a personal level, I've always struggled to be a Collins Fan! I can fully appreciate how devastating her power game can be (she occasionally reminds me of Mary Pierce in that respect). However, she comes across as the most immature 28yr old the Tour has seen in a long time - re fines for temper-tantrums from Code Violations etc. For ME (just my opinion), she's very easy to DISLIKE! Apologies to the Collins fans out there - I'm NOT looking to goad at all!
I agree with you, and I happen to like her game a lot. Honestly, I think she's had a lot of physical challenges to overcome but doesn't look like she's invested any effort in working through the emotional side of everything she's experienced because she seems angry almost every time she steps on the court. Also, she's a really pretty woman and you expect more refinement (because of her looks... a stereotype, but it sort of has some truth) but I think at the surface, she's a hard-core athlete and lacks self-awareness in some areas.
@@ltrotter636 Nearly everything you've said about Danielle, could EQUALLY be applied to anyone else on the Tour! We TRUE Tennis Fans don't ever go on the Player's *"LOOKS"!* What's wrong with you!?
Do you disrespect Connors, Mac, Serena, Rafa, Medvedev, Murray, Sharapova for their groans, grunts, “Vamos!”, fist pumps, code violations, lack of ‘niceness’ to opponents during matches?
Highly competitive athletes are not always polite on the field of battle, but that doesn’t mean they have no heart or character in life. What they do when not on playing field, with their $, how they treat fans, what causes they get involved in - that tells me more about them.
Like Williams sisters Collins is a tennis outsider. Her success is an indictment of USTA a player development with all their failed stars. Her success on tour without a coach (like Fed for many years) indicts all the tennis establishment that misuse women players and keep them in their greedy clutches. If she succeeds the entire structure of coaches and handlers who dominate women players falls apart. She’s a disrupter that the establishment wants fans to dislike. This makes theWTA worth watching to see how it plays out.
