    This movie may contain lots of destruction. It may have showed Superman destroying things around him, but what can you expect from a man who has incredible power but had to hold it all back for most of his life without training except get'n a hold of his senses than suddenly uses it against a squad of kryptonians his level of power and had to fight the world engine knowing it can take his powers away and kill him. It was his first time fighting of course he couldn't do a perfect job.. Before all the figthing happened Superman turned himself over to zod thinking it would save the human race but he was wrong and zod was going to destroy earth to make a new krypton. So fuck the haters.

    • @EclipseHedgehog
      @EclipseHedgehog 8 лет назад +16

      +ProjectUnite Exactly. People were expecting a perfect arc-less fully trained and ready superman from the start. This is the start of the dceu and just imagine if he was. He would be soooo boring because he wouldn't grow, learn or change, he'd be there for the sake of being there and would probably make the justice league look pointless. This movie was for those who kept complaining "he's too OP! there's never any drama! he's always saving everyone so there's no tension!" now look at em. "He's under powered! He's too dramatic/sappy and not smiling enough! He couldn't save everyone!" you just can't win with these kinds of people.

      It has been seen in the comics before. From breaking all the glass windows of every building in a 10 mile radius, from the shockwave of a single punch on a villain, to leaving an entire city in ruin. If you pay attention to the fights, Superman is not really the direct cause of any of the destruction, save for one train cart of fuel. it's Zod and Faora the ones responsible for all the destruction. He even avoids sending Zod through any buildings whilst punching him around. This movie was phenomena.

      ProjectUnite Wow, I've tried to make this point to several people who dislike this movie, exactly what you said, what the hell do you expect is going to happen when you have two ridiculously physically powerful beings going toe-to-toe with each other, and it was his first time trying to defend a city let alone the rest of the world. and all people can say is, looking all the destruction he caused and how many lives he took. quite frankly I don't know why so many people are surprised, everyone claims to be fans of the Animated Series, but if you look at the Animated Series, the same amount of collateral damage and destruction to the place.

    • @Squatimus
      @Squatimus 2 года назад +1

      @ArtBuffalo Do you want Superman to be a Mary Sue on his first day? When hes never used his powers to that extent up until those moments? In fact hes not even Superman in this film, he's just Clark, who on his FIRST days of becoming Superman, is already fighting against an alien invasion and yet you expect him be a proficient superhero right off that bat.
      Also, Zod clearly said he's trained his entire life mastering his senses which is why he adapted to his powers so quickly. Remember, they are genetically programmed and trained military soldiers whereas Superman isnt. I can agree that Snyder should at least emphasized Superman caring about civilians and the destruction hes caused around him but dude, you didnt have throw insults at me.

      No, the story is great, but they discard it in order to show noisy fights. The atmosphere is heavy and annoying. Zodd has foolish motivations and Faora is a better villain than him. Jor-El is good at the beginning, but very different (for the bad side) when he appears again. The flashbacks are a rushed way to tell his past. The best actors of the movie die before they show any potential. The lots of tackles turn the fights very shallow. The movie doesn't look like Superman's, is more like an alien invasion where a friendly alien is helping the humans. Laurence Fishburne is completely useless there, looked more like a cameo. Every good parts are shown in the trailers.

    Dang; I cannot stop crying while listening to this particular piece of music. When young Clark tells his Mom that the world is too large, she responds with "then make it smaller; focus on my voice." There are numerous times when I feel that our present world is just too huge and overwhelming for me to cope with. And then ... when I actually saw the movie, saw the scene of young Clark and his mother, different music was used; that movie moment was not quite the same as this trailer. Oh, well; there is always RUclips; right?

      Let's be clear: both Star Wars and Superman are fictional. In addition: DC wants to be different than before. What is more different than Superman killing a fellow Kryptonian, not a human, and to a degree, getting away with said deed. I enjoyed M of S; I liked B v S; and I loved Justice League. Alas, to be also clear: DC must do more to be even "close" to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCV).

    People need to stop giving this movie shit. It was as good as it could be with a character like superman, so much development was needed to turn it into a good future series, just like batman begins. And to all of the fanboys who are like "SUPERMAN WOULD NOT KILL ZOD" screw you, he needed a reason not to kill, him killing Zod was a great way to make superman understand how powerful he really is, and the consequences of his actions.

    This makes me think of symbol of Hope and the scene from BvS when the woman is crying for help and a beautiful scene of superman to save those ppl appears. That's what we need, we need hope, we need the Day, the light, we need Superman....😌

    Well I think them calling it Man of Steel series is a fitting title. Have no quarrel with that. The superman titles can always stay fit for family orientated if they decide to go back to that. Look at smallville how it changed the perception of superman not being this perfect farm boy from Kansas image. Sometimes you have to think outside the box to appeal to a broader audience.

    I thought Man of Steel was a great movie. However, I think people have had a problem with the way the story and flashbacks were awkwardly arranged. If they'd cut and pasted it in actual order then maybe we would have had something glorious.

      CGI was the main reason which fucked the movie up.

    • @alexlaing4123
      @alexlaing4123 9 лет назад +19

      See I disagree with that argument. If you watch carefully you'll notice the 'randomness' has order. Clark is reminiscing about Important moments in his life, like when the bus passed by he just stared at it and we cut to the school bus scene where he saves the kids. It develops the character in a way that doesn't feel like exposition. We're not left wondering what he's thinking about, we're shown. Batman begins was similar in this aspect. Just my 2 cents

    Esta Música me produce una sensación de pureza, tranquilidad y soledad, como el tema principal para gladiator, esta canción para superman Man of Steel le pega como anillo al dedo. Es cierto que el tema principal de siempre de Superman mola, pero ya tenemos banda sonora para aburrir.. Los tiempos cambian, las películas también... las bandas sonoras no se quedan atrás.
    Hans Zimmer lo borda.
