I caught 3 very rare catch’s at sunny side yard the first one was a metro north that looks like the Amtrak silver star, then I caught a Amtrak work train there ,then I caught a ACS with a red and blue cab car!! THOSE CATCHES WERE AMAZING R.I.P grandpa he took me there
the guy giving the hornshow must be the same one who did a literal 10 SECOND STEADY BLAST by me sometime ago (i held up a sign that said “hornshow”) 4:42 - 642 and 662 before the wrap existed!
Hopefully the Avelia Liberty that will replace the Acela is faster and more modern-looking. I just don't get Amtrak's obsession with corrugated metal textures that make them look like commuter trains.
@Gabriel hernandez Versatile too. If I were CSX, I'd consider having Siemens create a freight version of this because it also seems to fit well with freight trains within the NEC.
Green = brakes released Yellow = brakes applied partially or fully Red = open car door indicator Blue (solid) = parking brake applied Blue (flashing) = coach (or locomotive) may not be moved. This flashing blue light is not built-in, but takes the form as a flashing lantern to be mounted in a window or hung outside the railcar
were some of these from CT? saw this video and thought, are these better than bnsf? I also drew an acs-64 after i watched this vid. thanks TrainBrain2000. and btw 2:01 is the best horn
Railfanner Production107 Massachusetts, USA! Looks like Canton Junction which is along the extreme North boundary of Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor line. On the part that is shared with the MBTA Commuter Rail.
TrainBrain2000 Man that’s the only horn show I’m missing from Amtrak. I’ve gotten plenty of shaves, even Mary had a little lamb. But never gotten jingle bells lol
That's because theres a switch in the cab for the ditch lights, (and Headlights) with On, Off, and flash. That engineer was switching it between On and Off for a cool flashy effect. An engineer at Kingston, RI station did it to me while arriving at the station. Check out my vid.
God I know I'm in the minority of foamers here but I fucking hate hornshows. So freaking obnoxious. I could go the rest of my life without hearing another horn. Is it that much to want to hear the prime mover / traction motors / inverters (peacefully, at that)? Still a great compilation OP. Fantastic vid.
These have to be my favorite electric high speed locomotives ever. They look so unique
3:40 that was my favorite train in this vid, nice K5LA horn sound when it passed, that went probably 108 mph in 3:42
4:02 was the best
Amazing video of the ACS-64's awesome k5la horn!! My second favorite train, just behind my favorite, THE ACELA EXPRESS!!
Yes 👍
6:07 i was behind yah. :)
hi 6 years later :)
@@TLT_Productionsyep
1:26 Boy did he catch some snow !
4:29 This one was a cool catch.
Yeah because it didn’t have any coaches just 2 locomotives
can someone explain why at 3:50 there was a p42 on an electric line alongside the acs64???? pls someone explain
Trainbrain2000 that was a cool ditch light effect in 2:22 on your vid, that was never seen to me, lucky you
Think he turned the lights on and off real quick like giving a hello.
yup that same engineer did it to me too and a saahc
I see u everywhere
3:54
That Acela was like "Hey there!"
Why can't the drivers do this when they pass through Jersey? Lol nice horns.
because he knows all these enginers
Look Out For The Train x
@@AmtrakEnthusiast Really?
They pass thru Harrison, Newark, Elizabeth, INTL Airport and Secaucus and Rahway Junction, NJ as far as I know
These trains don’t go as Fast as 125MPH in NJ because they meet up with NJ Transit and a highly populated location.
I'm from England but this locomotive is my fav from American
Foxy dude me to
I love the ACS-64 along with the Acela Express and the AEM-7
@@ladyprecise77 you mean toaster express?
This just shows you what can be done with High speed rail in the US
Mine is the ALP 46
0:58 great quality video perfect veiw of the train
6:07 it sounds like its saying “look out now!”
Awesome compilation justin! Great to see you back on youtube!!
5:27 Probably the best K5LA ever on a ACS-64. Sounds like angels!
You can say that but acela hybrid is slightly bitter
My best K5LA I heard was on 3:40
@@erikmiller9823 Better you mean?
@@SuperWorldRailFanProductions late but yes lol
AWESOME VIDEO JUSTIN!!!!!!!!!! can’t beat the best!
Awesome hornshows I only know 2 engineers who would give me stuff like that but I do get great hornshows down here in md. Love the video!
i live in Calvert 2 county's from the popes creek subdivision
I remember one engineer in particular that went by Big Mo. No one could give shows like he did.
0:53 did anyone notice the marker lights on that ACS-64 were on? Like if you did
imagine like baiting
Yeah I saw the red
У вас в Америке крутые поезда, мне нравится!
6:51 That horn show was S tier i love that unit 626 is my favorite
Imagine if the UK had these...
The trains?
Itd be normal cuz UK highest is 125
They would sound all the more amazing.
Imagine a class 92 with these horns
@@mreditor9669 yeah
1:26 that short doppler sound almost made me shed a tear for a moment
amazing american train classic horn!!! 🙂

4:29 Amtrak: hey guys, sorry I’m bringing my sleepy brother somewhere
Some seriously awesome Doppler shifts in this video. Great stuff!!!

At 5:53, the engineer is 100% playing to the tune of Jingle Bells 😂😂

0:52 the marker lights are on

Is that Secaucus Station? I've played TSW: NEC, and it looks familiar.
@@everettrailfan No, thats TF Green Airport
CT Trains & Aviation you
1:47 My favorite!
Thank you I’ve been waiting for this
That is awesome!
The ACS64's are great but The ACELA EXPRESS is the sexiest trainset to run by you at 150 mph.
It's not about the Speed Gerald Green, it's about the horn...
@@ToddKeck98 it won't replace that ACS64 he is staying it's replacing acela and hoepfulley it has a hybrid k5la like acela
Beautiful!!
I once got to sit in the cab of an ACS 64
While stopped?
Heyy....love from 🇮🇳 india....love America s trains.....ads 64 is my fav loco love the lights especially...
Nice K5LA Catches
Love this!
Don’t cut the clips until the train is completely past us. Other than that pretty cool. The one going through the snow is the coolest
Awesome video. Hoping to see acs 64 cabride footage one day. 👍🏾♥️
=) I LOVE AMTRAK ACS-64 MY HOLE FAMLIYS LOVES IT TOO =)
What do the lights on the side of the passenger cars mean I've seen it in train sim world and I'm wondering what that means
Green = brakes released
Yellow = brakes applied partially or fully
Red = open car door indicator
Blue (solid) = parking brake applied
Blue (flashing) = coach (or locomotive) may not be moved. This flashing blue light is not built-in, but takes the form as a flashing lantern to be mounted in a window or hung outside the railcar

Where was this recorded? I'm not gonna lie, acs-64s are just the better versions of the Aem-7
Railfanner Production107 Massachusetts, USA! Looks like Canton Junction which is along the extreme North boundary of Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor line. On the part that is shared with the MBTA Commuter Rail.
As soon as I get my camcorder i’m heading out to Penn Station, Upstate New York, and New Jersey to railfan.
Not much here to railfan in upstate new york besides amtrak p32s near abany and a few csx lines.
Unless you are considering Westchester county as upstate new york
Then you have a bunch of metro north train to
I am from Scotland but these are my fave amarican locos
Acs-64 my favorite Amtrak Electric locomotive.
3:17 and 6:07
Nice!
@ 4:09: he showed this one the longest out of all the great clips (I'm talking about when he's watching the train behind the fence) XD DUDE C'MON LOL!
I swear the 2010s were the craziest time to railfan
6:51 is also good like damnn
You use IMovie too?! Sweet!!
Awesome video!
That horn just seems to scream "Express Comming Through!!" To me
The acs-64s are basically high speed express engines
@@multifan75 I used to think the Acela was the Northeast Corridor's premiere express train. Or is every passenger train on the NEC an express?

So America got EuroSprinters I see. Only with some slight modifications
One of these days I’m gonna get out to the northeast corridor

These trains were made to run at high speeds but it's not as fast as the Acela Express
Why only two cars at 5:10?
Note the marker lights in the third clip
Yeah both the Front and Rear lights are on.
Kinda funny to see one towing a P42DC
At 0:50 why does the train come through with the tail lights still on too
They sometimes do that during night
