Hopefully the Avelia Liberty that will replace the Acela is faster and more modern-looking. I just don't get Amtrak's obsession with corrugated metal textures that make them look like commuter trains.
@Gabriel hernandez Versatile too. If I were CSX, I'd consider having Siemens create a freight version of this because it also seems to fit well with freight trains within the NEC.

This flashing blue light is not built-in, but takes the form as a flashing lantern to be mounted in a window or hung outside the railcar

That's because theres a switch in the cab for the ditch lights, (and Headlights) with On, Off, and flash. That engineer was switching it between On and Off for a cool flashy effect. An engineer at Kingston, RI station did it to me while arriving at the station. Check out my vid.

These trains don’t go as Fast as 125MPH in NJ because they meet up with NJ Transit and a highly populated location.

The ACS64's are great but The ACELA EXPRESS is the sexiest trainset to run by you at 150 mph.
