If you can look at a card and see the centering is off at first glance, it shouldn't be a 10. PSA is guilty of that quite often, I prefer buying BGS graded cards.
I love your videos I have been collecting a few years, and learning as much as I can, making that my priority, still never sent to psa cause I find it hard to turn down a great deal on a card over sending something I have to psa. I know I could make money if I did but I just never have and maybe I’m a little worried with everything going on. Thought about sgc but seems no profit. I hope you keep up videos so I can keep learning and one day do what you do. Really inspiring to me.
You have the Donruss higher than a brand like the Crown Royal, which is funny to me. I think it should be right after the Select rookie and the Crown Royal and Phoenix cards after the Donruss. It’s iconic and been around since 81. It started the popular rated rookie logo and while it’s not a chromium product it is better than a bunch of the crap brands that Panini over-releases.
I am FINALLY in the market for a long term play on Mahomes. Right now I am torn between a Optic Holo or Field Level Silver. The lower print run of field level silver really intrigues me but I do not follow the football market as closely as baseball and basketball and wonder if Select is looked down upon after going to retail form hobby only?
The optic always seems to have a cleaner card stock and appearance compared to Prizm and Donruss like you were saying. I think it’s one of the best options for modern rookies!
great vid some awesome product info that can be used on all players from this era, agree 2017 one of the last good years before print runs got out of control n still had some cool product dudes realizing a lot of these QB's all hype n starting to buy paddy again his values starting to go up again especially on more rare stuff n parallels
So if want to spend about 1000 or so on a Mahomes II rookie card which one should I go for ? Or should I roll the dice and buy an unopened box of 2017 optic prism or whatever on eBay ? Thoughts ?
Oh no! Go all in on the PSA 10 Optic. The good thing is there is going to be ebbs and flows in his market. He isn't going to win a chip every year, so the years that he doesn't, the "jabronis" will open their mouth, run it, and it likely will drive prices down slightly, but the Optic is by far my favorite. Best image, most liquid, doesn't have a ton of quality issues like the Prizm. I would try to get the highest base grade you could or go for the Holo in PSA 9
@@TylerShort thanks. I think I will go for the regular optic psa 10. Is psa the most highly regarded grading company or does it matter psa or Beckett etc ? I suppose I should jump on one this week before he wins another title ….

You should try to get a BGS9.5 Optic Holo. If for a better design rookie insert, psa9 R & S Stellar Rookie Red /99 sounds a good option. Do not buy base rc except the prizm one....

Ok I have a mahomes rookie donruss press proof gold /50 assuming i dont want to grade it and sell it raw would you accept a $2300 offer or should I stick to getting closer to my asking price of 3400???
Much appreciated man! I will say for a card that low, $2300 may be closer to the true market value. Having said that, there is a lot of upside as these cards don't come up that often. Of course my answer is going to be to grade (:) ) but if you are wanting to sell raw, $2300 may not be too far off from current value compared to $3400
