    I'm not gonna upgrade for a freakin' button. I'm disappointed with Apple. What a letdown.

      I totally get that. I think replacing the silent switch with the action button was a good thing. I just don't know about the camera capture button. Seems like another part to go bad. What were you hoping for that you didn't get which caused your disappointment? Thank you for tuning into the channel. I appreciate your comment and support. 👍

    So they got rid of the mute switch and replaced it with an "action". Before that they got rid of the touch ID button everyone loved and years later they put another "camera button". It wouldve been better off if they made that camera button a touch ID button again of some sort

      I'm of the same thoughts. Touch ID on the side and shrink or get rid of the eye sore dynamic island. The Pixel 9 now has the same face unlock security ability as the iPhone for banking and other apps, and doing it with a single hole punch on the screen. Personally I think that looks better. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts. I appreciate your support! 👍

    How much innovation do people expect in 12 months?? We the consumer really need to break the wheel and stop 'upgrading' every 12 or 24 months.

    I think it's some pretty cool stuff but I'm just going to see what features actually trickle down to the older phones for now. I have iOS 18 downloading now on my old iPhone 11. It's pretty much a secondary phone to my Pixel 6a. I'll be lagging behind on both fronts 😂

    • @GOTgoodoldtech-1964
      @GOTgoodoldtech-1964  Месяц назад +1

      I think that's a great idea. Especially even with the new phones, they're not going to have all the features for a few months. I too am curious of what iOS 18 will bring to the older phones. Thank you for tuning in to the channel. I appreciate your comments and support. 👍

    We need a Pro Fold iPhone to compete with the Samsung Fold

    • @GOTgoodoldtech-1964
      @GOTgoodoldtech-1964  Месяц назад +1

      So far, what we know is that Apple plans to release a folding flip style iPhone in 2026. They partnered with Samsung to help develop it. Not too exciting to me. That's the Apple way. Wait and try to do it better than everyone else and then take ownership of being revolutionary. LOL. Maybe they'll surprise us?

    I watched the keynote. It was a bunch of fluff as always. Details most of us don't understand or need. I'm glad they finally changed something about the camera hardware instead of claiming better software processing. I didn't like hearing promised features that won't exist at launch. That is happening too much and Apple has been known to quietly drop features and products while hoping we forget. I'll wait for the actual features and see what my 15 Pro gets.

    • @GOTgoodoldtech-1964
      @GOTgoodoldtech-1964  Месяц назад +1

      That's the same take I got from it. I think the standard iPhone is the better pick this year. I don't know if the added size and weight on the pros is going to go over very well. With the Pro Max, you might as well get a foldable. Thank you for watching and commenting, I appreciate your support! 👍

    Regarding the new Camera Control "button": I have a for me very important question to ask: Will there be a (considerable) risk of inadvertently activating this button when just intending to hold the iPhone when not using the camera? Because the button is placed where it is placed, I think this can happen ("holding the iPhone wrong"-issue!"). I think one must have hold the 16-model in hand before one can answer this question, but will you try when you do? (I will keep my 15PM, I think.)

    • @GOTgoodoldtech-1964
      @GOTgoodoldtech-1964  Месяц назад +2

      That's an excellent point you bring up there. I have not thought of that one, and I wonder what they tend to do to keep it from being activated by accident since it's just a touch sensor button. Although I do think it takes a full press to actually open the camera app. I guess we'll find out when the phone is in the wild. Thank you for your great question and for tuning into the channel. I appreciate your support. 👍👍

      @@GOTgoodoldtech-1964 I will really appreciate if you and other "normal" (in every good sense of the word!) people can figure this out by using the iPhone 16PM (or other 16 version) in a "normal" way horizontally while NOT intending to use the phone as a camera - will it be without problems regard holding and perhaps activating the button??? Please let us know in this canal! Important to know! Perhaps no problems - perhaps serious problems?

    They gave us a physical button for features which are already included in the camera app. Typical Apple create a solution to a non existing problem and advertise it as a “feature”. Just give us the damn headphone jack and the micro sd card
    back. 128 GB for 799 is a freaking joke.

    • @GOTgoodoldtech-1964

      Great point. That's the Apple way, isn't it? Create a feature we didn't know we needed and push it as the next best thing. I think Touch ID on that button would have been a better use and get rid of the "Dynamic" eyesore of an island. I agree all phones should start at 256GB at least. Especially since the photo and video sizes have grown with their "camera" features. Thank you for tuning into the channel and for commenting. I appreciate your support. 👍

      @@GOTgoodoldtech-1964 the Touch ID was a nice feature on my iPhone 7 Plus. I will say I definitely prefer Face ID and the advantage of a full filled screen on the phone though. Also my 7 plus screen would get scratched beyond belief. I carry my phone in a case in my front pocket with nothing else in it. Still it had tons of scratches on it when I upgraded. The new Ceramic Shield is no joke. I’ve had my 13 pro max for almost 3 years with no screen protection and not a single scratch even after dropping it a few times. While I do believe apple devices are a bit overpriced. You still can’t beat the build quality and the longevity that iPhones have.

      @Foreshadowing I have the Pixel 8 Pro and now the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and I love the facial ID and it working on the secure banking apps and they do this with a small camera hole punch vs the giant dynamic island. To me that's an eye sore. I agree with the ceramic shield. I put a shield on all my phones now.
