This is why i love the joker, he's so skilled and unpredictable. You just never know what he's gonna do and when he'll do it. One minute he's eating chips and asking for a glass of water with it and seconds later he has a gun aimed between your eyes. He's the boss and his own top henchman

You mean, why do they not exercise the same precautions taken with real life serial killers in custody? Probably because that would require a minimum level of competence. You have to have "Hollywood brain damaged guard" levels of stupid to have someone like the Joker... or Ed Kemper... sitting in a therapist's office without being chained to the chair, and with armed guards with rifles aimed at him at all times.

DiMaggio's Joker feels like the go-between of Hamil and Emerson.
Sort of The Joker in his prime, where he's a feared, well-known criminal, gangster and extremely dangerous threat.

In my opinion... this is the best Joker. Crazy, deadly, full of laughs and jokes, and above all: feared. He’s the perfect combination of everything that Joker is.
Well health ledger did it all, he was like this joker came to life. Best joker actor , in this case the writers and animators got the job done

Joker needs to be equal parts crazy, deadly and “fun-loving”, and Heath Ledger Joker was painfully lacking in the “fun-loving” area. I only have one question for that Joker… “why so serious?”

This Joker is actually pretty funny too. The super casual face when he's eating chips, and that joke at the end. Granted it was a dark humor joke but eh.
That for me is what The Joker should be, he's menacing enough without guilding the lily too much. And over doing his grotequeness. You have to have bona-fide dark dad-jokes in there where he snickers at his own jokes because he's the only one who gets/appreciates it and is always playing to a tough-crowd.

He gave him a demonstration by killing his men with equipment he happens to know is on hand...demonstrating that he is always resourceful, and is well prepared to kill anybody.....also demonstrating how chaotic he is...you think you got him cornered, but the moment you play into his game(i.e. give him some water) he'll flip the script, and you'll easily be at this madman's mercy.....basically proving he IS the man for the job...

The scene where he kills the men and takes full control of the situation, that for me was the moment I truly came to believe: never underestimate the Joker. lol not that I didn't know it before hand, but this scene really made me come to appreciate it all the more.

John DiMaggio’s performance is almost on the same level as Mark Hamill. If they ever do a Three Jokers animated movie, he needs to be the voice of the Criminal Joker.

Joker is crazy but not stupid. He’s an amazing chemistry expert, fully understands the human body and mind which allows him to think several steps ahead of most people and create poisons so powerful that they can even kill Superman. But he’s a shit fighter and knows nothing about computers which frequently leads him to kidnapping people smarter with that sort of stuff for him.

This scene really shows that black mask was one of the only not crazy villians. In the whole movie its clear the joker puts him on edge. Without the black mask he's pretty much just a powerful gangster
