I think this may be hard to hear for some of us because we are doing all those things ( listening to our bodies, pacing ourselves, making sure to not over extend ourselves, managing stress etc etc) and yet we still very much have chronic symptoms that affect our daily lives. Not every chronic illness can go into remission, and it has nothing to do with how well we listen and care for our mind, bodies and spirits....it just IS sometimes. 😊❤

I was a teacher too, and I would always get sick and have a chronic eye disease (herpedic eye, which I got working with kids). I would have many relapses and then I was diagnosed with lupus a few weeks ago. Now, I have up my career to prioritize my health.

I'm proud of you, I know that's not an easy decision to make but I believe that you will realize its the best you could have made for your health and overall quality of life. ❤ I am now over 6 months into my new career in the orthodontics field and literally every SINGLE day I go to work I say to myself, "I am SO thankful for this new job and this new life. This is everything I ever dreamed of in terms of work life balance and enjoying my stress-free work daily. Leaving teaching was the GREATEST thing I could have done for myself and I have absolutely zero regrets." I believe you will experience the same! 🎉

I have noticed that things like my cycle and season/weather changes also greatly affect my health so I am learning to manage those better. It has been a work in progress.
Pacing really helps and some supplements/dietary changes seem to be helping too.
I’m trying to stay flexible and use different strategies at different times.

Yes! Absolutely weather, season and cycle changes definitely affect us as humans. They've done studies that show how humans have higher inflammation levels at different times of the year, with different weather patterns and with hormonal changes. When we understand that our bodies need more care and support (even more than usual) during these times, we can give them more grace and understanding if they are struggling. Keep up with all the wonderful strategies and listening to your body. You've got this! 🥰
