I feel like the only reason Harry didn't ask Draco to the ball in the Goblet of Fire is that he'd have to go and dance with him in front of all of Hogwarts which would reveal he was gay to people, which he didn't want to do.

It's funny bc Malfoy was initially supposed to go to durmstrang, because his father thought it was better for him since they study dark magic and that the principal was a death eater. But his mom refused to have him study abroad bc she'd miss him too much so hogwarts it is.
Yes I read that part of goblet of fire the other day and I just love the overall concept of Draco going to Durmstrang

In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, three schools were participating in the triwizard tournament: Durmstrang institute of Magical Learning, Beauxtons, and Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardy. The four participants in the tournament were Harry Potter and Cedric Diggory from Hogwarts, Fleur Delacour from Beauxtons, and Viktor Krum from Durmstrang. I hope that clears everything up!
