@@Daniel-ve8yr I mean that’s very possible. But he had a great camp. And a great style. He shouldn’t have gone down hill that fast. A loss is a loss. He didn’t cherry pick too much, I emphasize the words “too much” because of his team. They cherry pick a lot. And instead of going back to the team and training hard to correct flaws…..well, we see how it went. Unfortunately, it’s what happens in the sport. I won’t shut you down tho. Because it’s boxing, what you mentioned can happen.

He was supposed to fight Omar Figueroa in August, and for that fight (which never happened) he trained at my gym in Colorado Springs and I talked to him and his team quite a bit. But even 2 weeks out from fight night he had a sizable belly and wasn't training as hard as he should have, spending more time in a small sauna than on the bag or the pads. He then pulled out of the fight claiming "mental health problems", he might have had some issues who knows, but I think his team knew they weren't training hard enough and they were gonna lose, so they pulled out.

Lots of racists in the comments but the facts remain. Maidana didn't stop Broner a lightweight at the time. He actually came back and won rounds after the knockdowns. Maidana declined a rematch which is a fact and said that Broner was his toughest opponent and gained his respect after their fight. So there's that and most importantly he begged for a rematch the following year before Chino faced Floyd which is why he took step aside money for Maidana to get his biggest payday. Broner proved that racists watch the sport for the bad guy. He hasn't needed a belt to gain views or put people in seats which he still does now. I don't see how he lost in any of this but keep crying. Legends like Pacquiao respect him. Everyone except the losers crying about his ego are just miserable in their own lives and want brothers humbled to make themselves feel good. Dude made $3 million in his loss to Maidana while everyone celebrated his loss. No other PBC fighters were being paid that high at the time lol
How is a 4 time world champion in 4 different divisions "wasted talent"? y'all are so miserable in life you have to create idiotic narratives because someone was "cocky" and you wanted them "humbled" sounds about white to me but history doesn't lie. He's tied with Henry Armstrong as the youngest 3 division champion of all time. So the talent and ego actually got him far early in his career without a huge Olympic or amateur background 😂🤣🤣🤣
Keep being clowns though. Using his name for click bait. It always works in his favor because you don't get these numbers unless you're speaking about him lmao

I think his biggest problem was not bringing in new people to his camp. I think he got as far as his raw potential would take him but he could never break through as a superstar because he didn’t put in the extra work and evolve. Floyd told him a while ago that he needs better footwork and he never improved. 2023 Broner still fights the same way he did in 2013. He also never brought in new coaches to help him develop. I get trying to stay loyal to the guys that got you there but if they aren’t pro level coaches you have to make a change. At the top level of boxing it takes more than just getting in shape for your fights. You must commit and stay in shape to maximize your physical ability. Floyd understood this better than most.

Great video. Broner in his prime was definitely my favorite fighter behind Floyd, but Broner’s issue was that he had too many holes in his game that he didn’t care to fix.
His power didn’t translate well to higher weight classes. He was flat footed, which didn’t work for him. His wasn’t good at using Philly shell. After Maidana, he became scared to throw punches.
He was definitely an entertainer though, he introduced a ton of casual fans to boxing. The only guys who have been that entertaining & introduce a ton of casuals to the sport since then has been Deontay Wilder. Tank & Garcia are popular with casual fans as well though!

@Black Boy King TV This sounds a bit biased saying that "there is no argument". Pacquiao has a VERY strong argument for goat status. Being undefeated has very little to do with whether or not someone is the greatest. That mentality is toxic to the boxing community. These "Floyd haters" that you're referring to usually acknowledge Floyd's skills, however he prioritized money and reward over asserting his greatness and legendary status. Both Pacquiao & Floyd are great in their own ways.
Oh by the way, that Marquez fight you speak of Pacquiao fought him 4x and was actually winning the fight before the KO. Styles make fights and Floyd & Marquez are both counterpunchers. Thats an easy W for Floyd.

He was the whole package. Had everything from speed to power. However, he made the big mistake of drastically changing his style in order to mimic Mayweather's and that ruined him. An experienced fighter like him should've known how difficult the philly shell guard is to execute let alone master. Also, he was more interested in looking tough and would make big errors in defense. His cockiness wasn't just on the surface like Ali or Mayweather but also in his mind and that made him commit even bigger mistakes in defense. For some reason, he was really fascinated by Mayweather's insane ability to win rounds despite minimal volume and in trying to mimic that as well, made the worst possible alteration to his style. Another very overlooked aspect of Broner's downfall is that his power didn't essentially carry over to Welterweight and putting on more muscle only made him slower.

Won’t go down a living legend or anything but he’ll go down one of the more talented “gatekeepers” that is if he ever fights rising contenders haha

I actually have met Broner's god-uncle. It was quite mind blowing, but for what it is. his god-uncle told me Broner won't change his style of boxing even if he knows he's losing. its something that troubles everyone around Broner, but Broner will do what he wants to do. breaking his ties with Mayweather was too weird since Broner basically attempted to copy Mayweather's defensive fight style even though Broner was still in his prime as an athlete.
I don't see Broner turning his career around since it's a little too late imo. the current top fighters in the welterweight class is great despite the top two fighters not coming to an agreement to fight each other. I see Broner more as a journeyman for boxing since he'll keep on fighting until he calls it a career. plus he's nowhere near as of a level of competition to fight the top welterweight fighters like Crawford, Spence, and etc.

it's not wasted talent, he's always been overhyped, he was never talented like people say. in his prime, broner barely beat a pillow fisted over the hill Paulie. Broner been exposed way before Maidana. Broner has always failed at the top level, and often he was training hard, like for that pacquiao fight, he focused and trained hard cause it was his biggest chance. But yet his fanbgirls always made excuses for why he lost. He was always a hypejob and not as good as they made him out to be. HE was a B level fighter at best. I remember in 2013-2014, the BLM (LDBC) was saying broner would outbox and stop the pacquiao of 2013-2014. Then years later, broner gets absolutely destroyed by a 40 yr PAcquiao, who was a full time senator/part time boxer, who came into the fight battling a cold lmaoooo.
I see people saying "he's the complete package". NO he isn't. Broner was always flat footed and defensively didn't move his head enough. He was a decent counter puncher at times, but if you move and create your offense, broner has no reponse, he's not creative with his offense. Also if you swarm him with offense, he freezes. That's why when people were saying broner would pacquiao back in 2013, i was laughing hard, cause i was looking at all of this and thinking "pacquiao's style is all wrong for broner, he's gonna stop broner". And if they fought back in 2013, PAcquiao would have stopped broner.

I know a couple of fighters who are not really talented and do not have the tools to make it big. But still they live inside the gym, keep getting their faces busted, because it is at the end of the day a paying job. They aint got much else. So to be blessed with a talent like that and an opportunity to really make serious money out of it is something Broner surely took forgotten. I mean just imagine how many fighters would be willing to trade places with him. They would probably stay disciplined, and not get in trouble because they dont wanna lose what they got.

No one knocked him out, and very few knocked him down. So there are positives he can take from his career, it just so happens that his mouth was a bit too reckless for his skills.

I don't think he had all that much talent as far as a top level boxer, he didn't have that overwhelming athleticism we see from the top guys, his movement wasn't all that fluid, lots of wasted motion. He always looked a bit awkward to me when compared to the absolute top level boxers, and he didn't seem all that smart either, I pretty much always saw him as a gate keeper who was carefully handled.

Honestly his switch to philly shell signals his problem, he went for the philly shell because Mayweather made it look cool rather than because that's his best way to defend himself.
The shell was an option in Floyd's arsenal rather than a trump card and Broner is too flatfooted to make it work, i don't even know if he's still using it, but every good puncher would crack his shell.
And all because he wanted to look like the next Floyd.

Adrien probably should have not went up in weight. In the 130 range, he has more power & always had a chin. His footwork is stationary & he does not counter well; however when he is initiating the punch count, Adrien is fairly accurate as well as commanding with his ring I.Q.
He probably could have shaped up the 140 division but that would have meant sitting in that division without huge million dollar paydays being on the line. At 147, the weight gain & stationary footwork does not help his blueprint.
Plus his weight issues have been a form of stagnation, because he is just at 147 because that is all he can drop down to & again, the bigger pay days keep him there.
In the Lightweight division, he would have extended his success but that would have required staying in strict training camps & Adrien likes to live that celebrity life.
