    Can you make it with fingering weight yarn, if so how much, what size hook and would you use the same number of stitches? Thank you😊

    • @JaydaInStitches
      @JaydaInStitches  Год назад

      Hi Laura, certainly! Your foundation chain can be any number that is a multiple of 3, and once joined in a ring MUST fit loosely over your head. Then, the pattern is the same. You will need to make more rows to get it to height. Bank on around 300 y, you shouldn't need that much, but just in case you want to make it tall, it's better to have to much!

    Thank you for the video. How do you join the chain without turning it.?❤

    • @JaydaInStitches
      @JaydaInStitches  Год назад +1

      Long chains want to twist, so I run them through my thumb and forefinger to make sure the untwist before I join. You can also work on a flat surface: when the chain isn't dangling beneath your hands, it tends to want to twist less 😊

    I did this and instead of being straight it made ruffles. Is this normal?

    • @JaydaInStitches
      @JaydaInStitches  6 месяцев назад

      Hi! If your v-stitches are ruffling, you either a) are using a large hook and your tension is loose or b) you weren't skipping the right number of stitches and your first row of v-sts are too close to each other. if you have more stitches (counting double crochets and chains) in a row of V-St than you do of your foundation chains, then you've added too many stitches. This is usually done by not skipping enough chains or accidentally working into the same st twice.
