Your channel is invaluable! No exaggeration ❤️🙏🏼
bro i was a sub years ago and youtube was killing grow/information channels left and right, now hes back. Great to see you lex jetski Dex's comment is on point
I love your content dude. I've gained a great deal of useable knowledge from your channel. Information broken down for the layman without reference to commercial production.
Can't thank you enough
One thing you got completely wrong is the fact that a 90 on a piece of duct does not decrease the airflow by 50%. That is completely and utterly ridiculous. In fact there are websites that will tell you exactly what each degree of bend will decrease the airflow by.
On my first indoor' ,so been tryin to get sound advice on all aspects.
When I need clear, concise & structured grow advice...Lex delivers 👍 Fantastic channel! so subscribed ages ago.
I'm a gardening virgin...of sorts 😁
🍻
1 thing more the cover on filter will also reduces slows air flow...good review for the heat of summer coming happy growing... lex another informed review dude :-)
I'm growing in a fly in fly out village in Alaska, where in winter, with all electricity and heating is done by burning fuels that are barged in during the summer. So heat is an expensive commodity, and my house stays at 68°F. Because of this, my carbon filter sits on the floor, and the intake is in the tent's roof. This allows the somewhat minimal heat from the LEDs and drivers to be pulled down through the canopy and raises the growing ladies temps to 80°F. During the lights out periods, I heat the tent to 75°F using electricity. Come summer time when the house is 75°F I might reverse this.
Do you make nice purple buds with those low temps?
whats up buddy good to see you are healthy and ok,,,,
Thank you for never having any cheesy 420 stupid dub step music in your videos🤘🤘🤘🏆🎄
I feel the itch, but i resist it...
And yes!!!! Thanks for all the great info!
Nice info lex man im an outdoor grower but the things you talk about is more then fun and helpful big ups bud seeyah👍🏽👌🏽🤙🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽💨💨💨
THANKS LEX
Awesome tips
Lex how about recycling soil for another grow ? 👌love your vids mate take care stay safe and well (one love)
I was doing that but I will not no more, its not enouph expensive to save there...Better have rich new soil. And with new soil you dont keep all bad germs and bad stuff who can develop in soil :fungus bacteria virus, etc Peace good luck ;)
totally fine to do once, but there's some steps you gotta take, plenty of googlable guides on variations of soil recycling where you use the same soil back-to-back.
@@LexBlazer I do use only one time but I put some extra things that work 4 me 🙃
@@LexBlazer I've tried lex for my new seedling and the 1st fan blades came up and the newer ones are turning purple mate. I checked the run off the ph had dropped and so I flushed the soil back to 6.5 should this fix my problem had a couple of roots at the bottom also so i applied the double cup method with a slight of water just below were the root popped out
thanks Lex
Brother thank you so much for all the videos very helpful and worth watching for a beginner grower like me
Hey lex love your vids , can u make a video on how to trim fast thanks man keep it up 👌
There's a trimming video i made a year back roughly talking about time-efficient trimming...if you search 'trimming lex blazer' the two videos on that subject should pop to the top.
Much love bro.
Was waiting for this. Thanks
Thank you
good info again
Love the channel and videos
you can make one with auto port with Drone air. how much air with drone and blows on . I have 60% soil and 40% coco
wish i had seen this vid this morning! put a new run on this morning and washed the pre filter in the washing machine! :( i did however make sure it was totally dry before putting it back on tho, what will it do once its been washed?
Say man, I'm going to add C02 this spring to my grow room. How does the carbon filter effect the ppm? Also, after adding C02, should I no longer exhaust to the outside? I don't want to just suck it all up and blow it out.
Great content btw, you really are the best out there!
takes a while to answer that....in short, the carbon filter doesn't interact with your CO2 in any major way...for the answer to the exhaust stuff with CO2 you best watch my 3-part CO2 series.
Thanks Lex, I can't wait. Again, keep up the good work.
Good information thanks ✌💨💨
U didn’t go over sealed rooms and recirculating the air
I live where temps outside are cold so I would like to exhaust my filtered air back into my home for the heat. My only worry is smell. Is there any one filter that takes care of the smell better than another? Thanks
the prima lima filter work perfectly for me for that same reason
And if I dont have any windows in the room? I cannot place a filter and this is my main problem
Are there any instances where you would spray the actual carbon filter down with a hose?
No.
no, just let it live its life. you wanna keep its capacity high and not clog the pores, keep it away from smoke
Safe to use in a bathroom? Just to get rid of doggy smells? Or are the soley for growing purposes? Not safe like a through the wall fan?
Wealth of knowledge; I wish I could do an internship with you bro!
hello i have a 3x3 tent . is it better to put my filter on the outside of my tent or inside? i have all ac infinity equipment including ac infinity coal filter
I dislike how these filters are usually made so it's very hard to open them and replace the activated carbon. They should not be welded shut. I haven't tried refreshing my used filters because of this. Kinda says alot about this modern consumerism. Perfectly usable filters are thrown out just because it's a pain in the ass to refill them.
Love your videos...thank you.
why cant i wash and dry the outer filter
You absolutely can.
Wash em by hand. I wash mine every grow.
you can (and should) wash a pre filter with water. It's similar to a HEPA filter on a vacuum cleaner or an air purifier.
Nice video : )
Hi there how's it going? I had a question for you. I do not have much room in my 2 by 2 tent and was wondering if I could put the inline fan on the outside of the tent ducting it into the tent and a separate duct that will let air exhaust out of tent. BTW I'm not going to use a carbon filter. Would this be sufficient? If not what would you recommend?
Also lex was another important question i had was my plant in 5wks flower with buds and all that but i wanted to know if i can carefully rise off the soil from roots and transplant entirely into new soil??
Whats going on lex big fan ... I was wondering would it be possible to cut a budded steam off the plant and get it to grow roots this way i can seperate this plant up to get it all in the light?
Thoughts on black orchid filters?
Do I have to do anything to the filter so I can have fan blowing into it ? Tent is too small inside for filter
I'm growing in a 4x2 closet. And I think it's 8 feet high. Normal house height is 8 right? I think a 4 inch would still be overkill. So idk what fan or filter to get. Please help lol
I am going to set up a gorilla 2 x 2.5 x 5 tent with an HLG 100 V2. I'm going to install a 6" inline fan and carbon filter. My question is could I exhaust my hot air into another room and use a dehumidifier ? Would mold be an issue ?
Whats the main reason not to wash the pre filter? I washed mine and it cleaned it great 👍 I have a can lite 6x24 btw
So can’t u have your filter blowing up into filter on top to save room tent or u hav rly have it sucking up air threw filter
Hey Lex could you do another G8 Dorm Grow review I know you like the lights but are they any good for growing in a tent? Thanks
Good info !!! Thanks
Where can I contact you in private bro, I'm having some problems with my Autos.
I recently switched to 12/12 250W HPS and the leaves started to droop down with no signs of burn, the temp is stable at 27C, no nutes just water and organic compost in the soil. I'll send you some pics if you want in Twitter dms maybe??
At a guess.. Add a fan, temp/humidity level too high
@@angryman3317 I have a large house fan blowing inside the grow room with 2 exhaust fans, humidity is at 44% the sugar leaves coming out of the pistols became so skinny idk if its paranoia or the roots are bound
see the video description; anybody who'd like contact me for help can do so using the right channels. Send pics, etc...
@@LexBlazer Okay I'll send you a DM on Patreon
That's weard I leave mine at 20/4 and they flower just fine
Why never wash pre filter
Yes, why cant u use soap and water
@@green285 guess he don't answer questions
Fuck him dick don't answer shit
I just got a 4x4x6 tent and have a 4inch inline fan connected to a small carbon filter connected to the window for the air to escape and using the passive intake would this work?? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
who cares how many inches the inline fan is? whats the cfm? its got to be 54 cfm before the carbon filter and ducting. include those things and its going to crank the cfm up to about 220. just use a 400 cfm 6" duct booster fan and lose the carbon filter and you'll save money. i got this info from acinfinity's manual on growing hemp.
im a bit confused what size carbon filter would i need for a 120x120x200 tent im using a 600w led and do i need to cover the tents air vents and buy an intake fan if want to hide odor or will i be safe forgetting about the intake fan and just leaving the air vents uncovered as long as i have a carbon filter in the tent i no its probably a dumb question but im really confused id be thankfull for any advice
Could 2 600cfm fans and filters run side by side replace one 1200cfm fan and filter?
thats a good question
Can I wash the pre-filter with water if I let it dry thoroughly? Or is that still a no no?
cheers
So if you turn the fan around you have a nuke filter 🤷
Cheap Alibaba filter LMAO golden man golden. love the videos Lex Thank you again stay safe man
Think I've had my filter way too long time to replace me thinks
you'll know if it's not doing its thing anymore and odor is going right through...
So would a 550 cfm filter be good for my 460 cfm inline fan ?
Hello,
I have one plant in a 27" x 27" x 62" tent and getting the fan and filter inside the tent sacrifices a lot of vertical space. What are the issues with having the fan and filter outside the tent? I figure I may only need it when the plant goes to flower but that's an assumption since this is my first grow. Thanks and stay safe.
Fan outside tent works fine.
So I'm in the same position does it matter if I have the carbon filter outside the tent?
u forget to mention lamp heat!
Hey Lex or anyone, new grower and new viewer here. What problens can we run into if our grow tent sides get sucked in by our ventilation system?
You should open your bottom windows to allow new air to flow through
How big of a carbon filter would i have to buy for 2 plants in a 2x2x4 tent space
4 inch. But id opt for a bigger 6 inch
wow its like it was just for me lol
Hey lex, I got calcium buildup i think or spores from growing mushrooms in my tent, will i need a new carbon filter? how can i open up the airflow again? edit: caused by tap water in humidifier
why didnt you sterilize the humidifier with peroxide? its like $1/
peroxide does not remove impurities like calcium.@@PLAYERSLAYER_22
Can i use it on a car exaust?
Why can’t you wash a prefilter?
You absolutely can.
Wash em by hand.
Why don’t we get any reply lex? Thought you were here to help or is it just make a video get payed from us watching ? I’d like to think you would help out the growers 😮
In your final summing up you mention anal is this a hidden message lex
🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
who is to crazy to set timer to turn fans off and on every minute or so. just damn leave it on 24/7. never had any issues. it will only make fans last less time because of all that turning on and off. bad info lmao
