- Unlike a day job, Amazon sellers have to file their own taxes and to do so you need pull together several reports to show income and expenses.

It's that time of year where we all have to file our taxes. As an Amazon seller you'll need to gather several pieces of information to file your taxes or to give to a CPA to help you file. Most of these reports revolve around showing your income and expenses. Amazon provides a 1099K to sellers who reach $20,000 in gross sales and 200 total transactions. The 1099K only shows total payments made from Amazon to you, but doesn't cover your business expenses.
For expenses you will have to pull a transaction report from Amazon. I personally use Inventory Lab to run my business and they provide amazing reporting to help you track everything. I will show you both Inventory Lab and Amazon's method for gather your information.

If you have a US, CND and MExico marketplace...do you have to print a separate data for each or Amazon consolidates all your earnings in one report?

@@pathtobillions8070 I use the app named Stride. It’s free. You push a button when you start and then when you stop. It tracks gps. Then at end of year you just export the list and import it into inventory lab.
On inventory labs does it account also when u change your price on amazon to match the buy box? Or is it just based off of the orginal price you listed the item on amazon fba?
Inventory Labs is linked with your Amazon account so it can pull all that information.

Hey , rookie question Iam new to Amazon fba I’ve made less than $2k year to date in sales and about less then 50units sold YTD as well less than 200 in transactions . As well sales tax Amazon does it for me ? Am I required to report that in taxes even though I didn’t reach the 1099k requirement ?
You would want to check with a CPA to be certain, but usually you have to report any additional income you make outside a day job.

How do you track units sold in december, but for which payment arrived on your account in january? Does Amazon issue an invoice for the FBA fees?
It goes on to your taxes for the next calendar year. So you worry about it next year.

a 1099k can be filed under your personal return or an LLC. The process is the exact same just minus it being filed under the business name.
If someone make an Llc and do FBA.Does he need an accountant all the year ar those files that are available all the time are good just to pay one(accountant) at the tax time?
Usually when you run a business you need to file quarterly estimates.
