I Can tell you practice the Ramsey steps in your daily life based on how you were very aware of their principals, the names of the personalities and what they each teach, what Dave teaches, George’s humor…everything. I know George praised on your preparation of your interview which was excellent but you knew how to pin point and be ver descriptive with your questions because you are aware of the Ramsey lifestyle. George is such a humble human being and my favorite personality. When he and Dave host the show, it’s like Christmas morning for me. Such a fun interview and enjoyed how George broke down the actual purpose of what Ramsey solutions is trying to teach.
The conversations in the interview's by Logan have direct connections to Scripture. George and Logan had a blessed one here. The main point which I get from it is that Jesus wants us to be free from the inside-out - including our finances, household budget, and business decisions. I am reminded of fresh air 🙂
I just started watching the Ramsey show about 2 months ago. I thought Dave Ramsey had retired. I have to say the best duo is George and Rachel. I thought that Dave was a little harsh to people when he came back but I’m realizing it apart of his personality.
I love the in-depth quality of this entire, wholesome, sincere interaction. Really powerful stuff. I learned so much from these two young fellows; makes me feel the world is going to be okay. 👌
This is just my thinking but, Dave getting mad because you said, "Well Dave, you"re one for two" was petty of him. Also, 5'6 doesnt seem short to me. Then again, Im 5'2. haha
Generosity is very good for your mental health. If you do not want to give to a church, give to a friend in need, or your waitress, or the drive thru lady.
"don't like it, then leave" is extremely dangerous in a church context. Why would the church be referred to as a body, if amputations were no big deal? Often parts of a body are a symptom of something going on, and the light hearted "don't like it, then leave" is cause of much toxicity not being addressed and cancer destroying the house of God. Remember when Dave Ramsey said in the other podcast about pastor ego? That also is in play with this mentality. (For context I don't know the host or his church at all - not going after them, just the sentiment that way too many church staff now feel. It's not any person's church - it's God's. Don't think lightly about someone leaving)
But can you really be honest about your employer while you work there? Definitely not with Dave Ramsey. We see how he treats those that go off the reservation.

George is not a financial expert. He is a Ramsey expert.

You can't be honest about your employer in 99% of companies. I work at a toxic hospital but upper management refuses to hear about it
