Takeoff from Los Angeles to Honolulu on National Icecream Day - United Airlines Boeing 767-300 ER:

- This is UA935 from LAX to HNL on July 18th, the National Icecreamday. Flight is operated by boeing 767-300ER reg.: N666UA, Taped from Seat 6A in 2-class-config. Flight was quite nice after a bad beginning. Very friendly and good service, Thank you United Airlines!
I use to cater airline flights back in the day and all aircraft have a single small freezer compartment and I do mean small which is located only in the front of the aircraft for storage of lemons,limes and milk for first class passengers only. Ice cream is stored in boxes in the rear of the aircraft in the food carts packed with dry ice which keeps the ice cream frozen solid until the final destination when it and all the fresh non brought food will be thrown in the garbage only to be replaced
I laughed at the "TAKEOFF!!!!" and "ROTATE!!!!" banners, but it would be even better if you flashed them just 3 times.

Great video, but why do we need the subtitles telling us its takeoff and rotation, I think we can kinda figure that one out on our own, lol

I've had icecream on UAL on a long haul on a 767.
Ice cream is a summer time thing only when all the catering companies stock up on dry ice to keep it cold. Also ice crème like everything else cost money onboard the aircraft unless you fly first class and the airlines know everyone wont buy so they store a limited amount not to waste which they do

I'm pretty sure most airlines would not serve ice cream in economy because its Ice Cream day. First class probably got it though
only took a year to get the reply i was looking for...
They have ice for the cocktails, so I think that they have ice cream.
@steve98201 752, 763, 772, 744, and 320 all have freezers and the same "facilities" you might find in a normal kitchen.
I flew on delta but that was a long long time ago.I dont know how they are now. have not been on a plane in exactly 20 yrs.I never flown united.

People think United is bad try DELTA...They don't even have enough gates for there planes been stuck on the taxiways many times on Delta...My last trip were stuck for 35 min and some people missed there next flight...And they could care less...I fly United when I can and is a much better Airline...
...apparently, the concept of "anecdotal experience" is well beyond your grasp. lol
What does it matter to you? You dont have to fly United, go on Southwest with the worst service in the world. Or walk.
