Your explanations were really good for Stats and Mechanics! Would you be able to make videos in hypothesis testing and projectiles/pulleys please!! Thanks again for the great vid
it ignores the force from the wall pushing on the rod I think. In other words, the rod is not held up horizontally only because of the tension in the rope. It is joined to the wall also. If the wall was not there, the rod would fall so there must be some force from the wall to consider.
How come during the normal distribution in question 2 you didn't need the critical value for the hypnosis testing , you just used the sig level of 0.05 ?
when using a hypothesis test on a normal distribution, the significance level is the critical value. You might be confusing this test with other types of hypothesis testing.
Will the statistics questions in these past paper videos be useful for my a level statistic Edexcel exam in June? There are no past papers so I'm going through these ones.
The content looks similar but the questions look quite different in the statistics papers and more in depth. E.g they have a question asking “use an appropriate distribution...” so you have to decide what sort of dist. to use to answer the question. These would still be useful but maybe not enough
@@mathonify That's good news ! But I think you're fast enough anyway ! Oh, yeah, and I re-did this section of the paper last week I think and managed to get 50/50.
@@mathonify Well, everyone makes mistakes, that is for sure ! I like Mechanics more than Statistics, although I find Statistics easier. Anyway, I probably find Mechanics alright because I liked Science at GCSE. Good thing I don't do Further Maths though, because I've seen the Further Desicision topics, and I must say: I am awful at algorithms, coding, and anything that includes computers. 😁😁😁
Time stamps:
Q1 - 0:59 (frequency table, continuous data)
Q2 - 23:58 (correlation coefficient, hypothesis test)
Q3 - 34:00 (binomial dist., normal approximation)
Q4 - 56:20 (venn diagram, probability)
Q5 - 1:09:58 (normal distribution)
Q6 - 1:18:33 (vectors, suvat)
Q7 - 1:24:13 (Find time given velocity vector, force, and mass)
Q8 - 1:30:26 (mass pulled up a slope)
Q9 - 1:44:26 (beam in equilibrium)
Q10 - 2:01:18 (tennis ball hit over a net)

at uni now so happy I don't have to do this stuff anymore. GOOD LUCK EBERYONE TAKING A LEVELS
Danke !
this hasnt aged well haha thanks!

from 1:48:00 onwards how can u take moments when theye both acting clockwise?
How come for q9 we don’t do forces up = forces down? As in Tcos30=20g, why doesn’t this work
yeah i don’t get this either… m(g) makes sense, but surely forces up = forces down should also work ??

it was very helpful sir. Just a slight thing could u be more transparent about those directions i get really confused .....
Yes I have to redo Q9 sorry about that
Could you explain the logic behind npq for the standard dev please.
q is 1-p, so the equation is np(1-p)

Thank you very much!
Why do you drag these videos out? Could get through this paper in 30 minutes easily
Big brain

Maths Explained can you do the sample edexcel statistics a level papers before the exam?
The long-waited piece of art....ehhhh....MATHS ! Hahaha ! 😂
I’m taking lessons from this guy to get faster: ruclips.net/video/e4PTvXtz4GM/видео.html

Nice one. I usually attempt these before making the video, and I lost a few marks. Not an expert on mechanics unfortunately.
