Conte has won 5 league titles in the past 11 years, taking over a Juventus that finished 7th, a Chelsea that finished 10th, and an Inter that finished 9th. He's an elite manager. The issue is Tottenham and Daniel Levy.

The simple answer is when all is said and done, it's okay not to win at spurs. I remember Poch saying something like "trophies aren't everything" and there wa a bit of an outcry but that's it, the fans barely batted an eye. Why it took so long for Darren Lewis to be on TV regularly is beyond me. Always wrote the best stuff in the daily mirror 20 years ago.
Anyway, situation is simple, and it's what conte is saying, what Jose said, what poch said, what redknapp said, what Jol said, and even what Hoddle said: Daniel Levy signs the players via the sporting director/DoF. The manager has no control. Inevitably the balance falls one way and the manager gets sacked because the squad is not good enough to meet Levys expectations. Every manager under the Enic regime has suffered from the same thing: hit and hope recruitment.
I think conte should have been gone weeks ago, but I'm delighted that he has had the chance to say his piece publicly. The hilarious part being that "shrewd businessman" levy has twice painted himself into a corner where it'll cost the club millions to do what comes naturally to him. Spursy shambles again. Conte is a winner & he's not come to Spurs to win nothing. The players should look at themselves but they are more interesting in counting thelr wages.
The players should think more about the fans as well as the club. They have flattered to deceive this season.
The biggest disappointing thing is the way they went out of the FA Cup & the whimpering way they went out of the Champions League. The only shining light is Harry Kane.

Tottenham have won an fa Cup and league Cup since 84. Almost 40 yrs.
Conte is a top pro. He sees the abysmal apathy that's embedded in this once big team. Spurs are crap. Inconsistent, and throphyless since 91 except the league Cup in 09 in memory serves me. Crap. Conte is shooting from the hip, and being honest. Theyll go through another 20 yrs of managers maybe winning one fa cup along the way. Absolutely mediocre for such a once historically big team.
