I have a 2013 rallye and now after watching this id like to customize my brake calipers and my lugs, as well as a straight piped exhaust system on my vehicle. since my dart Is a 6speed I will also upgrade the clutch in the future geared more towards performance.

I have a 2015 rallye blacktop edition with a 2.4 and a six speed. Now I know you have the 1.4, but I was wondering if you had to do any remapping or had any issues with port and polishing the head. I would love to dig into my engine but I know there are some special valve solenoid and cam shaft designs that make it a little difficult or scary to work on. I would like to add a turbo. One day I hope this car gets to the point of customization like the civics and golfs. Anyway, nice car. Wasn't so sure about the purple but it grew on me. Very clean.
Well port and polish was just like any head. and yes I had to get a tune on it. it change the A\F ratio pretty dramatically. I'm not sure if tork has a tune for the 2.4L yet but that's who tuned my dart. research into tork. they are one of the only companies I know of that can put a custom road map on the dart. you can pretty much do anything you want to the 1.4L now. big turbo, injectors, fuel pump, engine work... etc

sxt with factory turbo still. I want upgrade the turbo eventually though. it's on the list lol. thanks btw! head is ported and polished. and exhaust manifold is matched ported to the head. only mild porting. just to smooth out the rough casting. it's running 18 to 22 lbs of boost depending on the temperature and weather. still waste gate regulated so it fluctuates.
Noticing the Michigan plate, where about? Do you know what shop did the port & polished heads? Been searching for a place that would take on the dart with no luck...
Macomb Michigan. The place that did it was automotive machine. I disassembled the top end myself then sent the head, manifolds and turbo hot side to them.

I am so conflicted about this. The exhaust IMO is not that good coming from a turbo car, actually sounds like it being choked. But i do like the sound coming from the turbo spooling/ engine bay, its on point. And the purple and black is pretty nice.

Most of The mods I did myself. I am a mechanic at the dealership where I took the video. The rest of the mods were done at a machine shop. What engine Does your gt have?
No net yet I be soon though I'll post so vids of the dyno runs when I do. Now that the weather is getting better I'll get that dart on some tracks for sure
Sick dart, I can really see some potential. The only thing I can't get over is that exhaust. I know to each his own and this is fine since you actually put some work into it, but it just give me that Honda feeling you know? I woulda gone more muscle sounding. Flow masters or magnaflow maybe. Otherwise it's pretty cool.

And the way that car is set up with the 4 cylinder turbo to me is far from muscle. So why try and make it sound like a muscle car? It's nothing like it's older brother dart. And to be honest it's doesn't sound a bit ricey in person. It gives a nice very deep rumble and screams when I open it up.

what made you go with a 3.5 inch exhaust vs 3.0 inch which you traditionally see on turbo cars and would it be possible to get a full mod list from you as far as performance work goes? btw shes absolutely gorgeous
Well the downpipe is 3.5 inches and the muffler inlet is also 3.5 inches so I chose to run 3.5 all the way back. I wanted to do 3 all the way but it didn't make sense to run two step downs just to run 3 all they back other wise I would have yah know. I'm gonna do another video soon that it more in detail with what iv done and what I plan on doing. I wish I could put pictures in with the video of my build but I don't know any video editors. but thanks I really appreciate it.

Depends on who is driving my motor had to be replaced at 77k Because of cylinder #2 breaking apart. I know others with the same car who have had no problems.
^ 1.4L is known for having problems with cylinder 2 and 3. pistons are poorly designed and the rings sit in the weakest spot of the piston. swap them out and gap the rings properly and boost it up! the 2.4L and 2.0L are just horrible engines. the blow by issue on them is still not resolved several years later. this applies to jeep Cherokees and 200's as well that use the 2.4L engine.

We need to Dyno it... I did a governor delete, my dart says 120 on the dash, but the digital number tap 141 and I let off because the steering wheel started to shake, tires I have defiantly not rated for that speed... SOO DONT attempt this!!!! unless you have tires rated foR IT.

+Rich V removing the resonator wouldn't do anything to affect back pressure. maybe the slightest bit but not enough to affect anything. removing the catalytic converter would affect back pressure pretty significantly. it's not a bit deal on cars with forced induction because turbos don't like back pressure anyway. but for naturally aspirated cars you could run the risk of valve float. but the darts have pretty still valve springs right from the factory. as far as power goes on turbo cars you gain more torque through the who rpm range. it allows the turbo to spool more freely. on a naturally aspirated car you might loose some low end torque but you would gain top end, not to mention your throttle response with durmatically improve.
jamesdusanjw I don't remember the exact number honestly, did 95% of the work myself so the cost was mostly on parts. So if I had to guess I would say around $6,000 give or take.
Jaime Gutierrez I'm actually a certified tech for Chrysler jeep and dodge and I personally would not void the warranty on your car if you had a cold air intake. But it all depends on the tech really.
Jaime Gutierrez A cold Air Intake will not void your warranty. Either will a blow off valve or a K&N Filter. Different Mufflers will not void your warranty if you change anything after the cat. It's ok to do so. (per Chrysler Warranty Rep.)
Like just stupid questions I have a 2013 dart rally multiair turbo and I've had some issues so far like turbo charger under boost. And the gas needle has stopped working and I was wondering if it has an intercooler or about how much boost does it push stock
Mike Tiano well your to fix you low boost issue the waste gate pre-load needs to be adjusted. Very easy to Do. Just look it up on RUclips. I'm gonna post a how to video shortly. As far as an intercooler yes your car comes factory with one. Every turbocharged car does. Your fuel gauge could be as simple as a blown fuse or your plunger (fuel leveling sensor) could be broke. And factory darts run anywhere from 14 to 18 lbs of boost. It all depends on the temperature, humidity, altitude, and air density.

It's not specific to any car. And it works with most cars that have individual coil packs.

I know TORK offered a PCM with a speed governor delete on it but they no longer support 1.4L dart modifications to my knowledge

I have a 2013 black dart rallye 2.0 is there a way to make my exhaust sound like that I hear and see Subaru Impreza with the same exhaust setup is it the same thing what's the name of the muffler..hope to hear from you guys soon I'm from nyc 1

Well is it true if you remove the resonator then you lose back pressure and a car feels weaker when you give it gas
+Rich V removing the resonator wouldn't do anything to affect back pressure. maybe the slightest bit but not enough to affect anything. removing the catalytic converter would affect back pressure pretty significantly. it's not a bit deal on cars with forced induction because turbos don't like back pressure anyway. but for naturally aspirated cars you could run the risk of valve float. but the darts have pretty still valve springs right from the factory. as far as power goes on turbo cars you gain more torque through the who rpm range. it allows the turbo to spool more freely. on a naturally aspirated car you might loose some low end torque but you would gain top end, not to mention your throttle response with durmatically improve.

jamesdusanjw I don't remember the exact number honestly, did 95% of the work myself so the cost was mostly on parts. So if I had to guess I would say around $6,000 give or take.

As a Dodge Dart owner, do you know if warranty on car would be voided with a cold air intake?
Jaime Gutierrez I'm actually a certified tech for Chrysler jeep and dodge and I personally would not void the warranty on your car if you had a cold air intake. But it all depends on the tech really.
Jaime Gutierrez A cold Air Intake will not void your warranty. Either will a blow off valve or a K&N Filter. Different Mufflers will not void your warranty if you change anything after the cat. It's ok to do so. (per Chrysler Warranty Rep.)

Like just stupid questions I have a 2013 dart rally multiair turbo and I've had some issues so far like turbo charger under boost. And the gas needle has stopped working and I was wondering if it has an intercooler or about how much boost does it push stock
Mike Tiano well your to fix you low boost issue the waste gate pre-load needs to be adjusted. Very easy to Do. Just look it up on RUclips. I'm gonna post a how to video shortly. As far as an intercooler yes your car comes factory with one. Every turbocharged car does. Your fuel gauge could be as simple as a blown fuse or your plunger (fuel leveling sensor) could be broke. And factory darts run anywhere from 14 to 18 lbs of boost. It all depends on the temperature, humidity, altitude, and air density.
