She still sounds like she did over 40 yrs ago . Amazing !!
She was pitch perfect, exactly like she was in the late 70's early 80's.
Her father would be so proud of her, if he was still alive.
I hope this brings more people of all ages to real country music.
The song brings back memories of my childhood. I have tears in my eyes. Terrific song. I wasn't quite a child. I was about 12 years old, when Jeannie and Royce Kendall recorded that song. We had just moved into a new house there were a lot of changes in my life at that time, and that song evokes some fond old memories.
She sounds just as good today as she did years ago well done
Yes, my son Dakotah logs with her son Bobby Kendall ❤️
I seen Miss Jeannie and her dad way back in the 70s in Canada in one of our rural lake communities...best show I ever saw, they came to our cabin and we hung out sang the next night PURE country and the friendliest family EVER...God Love ya...this is the best song and better in person with the personal touch...............
Hello Canadas. How are you doing?
Wow! Jeannie still sounds as great as she did in the 70's and 80's! Awesome! And as always, who don't love listening to Rhonda Vincent???? She's a hometown gal that did good!
She should still be making records!!!!!!!! She has one of the BEST (probably THEE BEST) female voice in country music EVER!!! It's a crime if she's not recording!
That voice got me when I was a young man. I'm 59 and still listening. Love you. Your like family.
Jeannie, still has a great voice, after all of these years.
I’m sitting here with covid. I Feel awful. I watch this and I felt temporarily better. I love country music, especially the proper stuff, like this.
This music brings warmth and happiness. It’s what I love about country music. A group of great singers sharing the stage and sharing their voices by coming together and making others enjoy themselves.
excellent voice..both

Shes a natural talent & shes blessed🎶
Wow - I have nothing but respect for artists like Jeannie who work hard to keep their voice in top form! Is it just me, or does she sound even better than 35 years ago?
She sounds good
Just as good, maybe better.
What does a person have to do to work hard to keep their voice in top form , other than have a pulse. Inquiring minds want to know. Cheers.
@@tracykingston9668 absolutely nothing either you can sing Or you can't
My GOD. I look at all the people in the audience and think how old they look. Then I realize I am old as well! How does 25 years go bye and you don't feel it? Time stops for no one! The music still makes me weak.

This was one of my favorite songs as a kid. Up north I'd hike the dirt roads & trails singing this to high heaven. A lot of Ricky Skaggs to. It helped scare off the bears. And pass the miles... Little boy bluegrass, and his slingshot. God.. Bring me back there when I die.😇
Who's still loving this in 05/19
P C 10/19
This song will still be just as good in 2050. >
Darrin fills in for Royce very nicely despite the deadpan delivery
usafvet100 I always loved the Kendall’s but you’re right about Darrin. Every time I watch this he reminds me of a Mortuary person. Sorry don’t mean to be rude, lol.

Go on and sing it Woman
Many years ago Jeannie and her dad were traveling through Washington State and stopped to pick up a few things at the store that I was working at. I checked them out and kept the fact that I knew who they were to myself out of respect for their privacy. Then when I looked out the front door, there their vehicle was parked with The Kendalls emblazoned on the side. I should have said something. hehehehe But, they were both very polite and quietly friendly. I knew about the Heavens 'Just a Sin Away song at the time, but over the years my respect for them grew. And she still sounds great with the most expressive high voice that I have ever heard in country.
I still have their record album.

JEANNIE still has her great voice. loving this still on OCT. 1st 2019
4/28/20...8:00pm...Sadly quarantined but HAPPILY listening from my house.
I used to go see The Kendalls in Gulf Shores Alabama in the late 80s & early 90s when they had their dinner-theater there.
A lot of good times.
Much love from Mobile Alabama.
Great harmony. I love listening to rock, country and all different types of music. This was my favorite country duets. In the 1970s as a child I was living in SW Michigan (Dowagiac Mi) N of S.B/Notre Dame IN. We would listen to WMAQ country and WLS rock both out of Chicago. Listening to some of these classics brings back some fond memories. There was some good country duets. ( Conway Twitty & Loretta /Johnny Cash & Rosanne Cash/George George Jones & Tammy Wynette,)Athough The Kendall’s were my favorite. In the 80s they played the Cass County Mi fair our grandstands held 5,600 spectators it was packed. Sometime during the show they sang Heaven Is Just a Sin Away. The spectators stood to their feet immediately and just a loud roar was heard and it shook grandstands. After the show a table was set up under the grandstands. I believe they had CDs or cassettes for sale and they stayed to mingle with fans. You couldn’t get close enough to them so many people. I believe the same week Johnny Kay and Steppenwolf also put on a show at the County fair. There was a good showing for this show also but not sold out like the Kendall’s show. My wife and I were married on Friday May 22,1998 a small gathering of immediate family to witness at the County Courthouse. I believe it was the next day or a few days after there was a news brief that Royce Kendall had passed away. It was very sad. I remember hearing from people that had the opportunity to meet him. They said he was a very down to earth and a nice man. They also said his daughter Jeannie is very nice person.
I Grew Up Listenin 2 Oldies&Love Songs All I Listen 2 Is Country Plus I Live Out In The Country Love It Cause Its Really Quiet Country Girl💜💜
On-stage in the 70s, when she was still a skinny little thing, Royce introduced her as "Dolly Parton after taxes." Nice to see her again, and glad she's still performing. She sounds great!
She still sounds the same. That makes me happy!
Iheard song my best friend Stephanie loved it no longer with us
I remember this song. I also remember telling my parents how I hated country music yet that era is now my favorite. This was favorite song then. She still has the same voice 💗
Hi dear how are you doing over there ?
Remember when this song first came out 🙏💕
With all due respect to Miss Vincet, Jeannie has the greatest voice for country music I have ever heard
Jeannie was one of the absolute best in the country music business back in the day.
Here she sings, hasn't lost a tune or a note yet, all on camera and performing in front of this happy Fox news audience.
Great singer.....great song....go Jeannie!!!!!!🇨🇦
I'd love to meet her in person

I remember this song when I was a kid. Still love it. Some songs never get old
Great song, God bless!
What I came to like most of this music is the fact that there's absolutely nothing half-hearted about it. Besides their beautiful voices, their mastery of the three-voice harmony, and the awsome performance of the accompanying band, they seem to be expressing a gentle but vigorous way of living - and conceiving life - they are fully convinced is worth representing through their beautiful music. Strong, lively, assertive, and masterful.
2021 and still loving this!
definetley a time capsule voice that JEANNIE has.
Its my favourite country song im going to be 48 and it still is
Brings back good memories of my childhood when my little Sister sang this song 😘

Jeannie has that 'Pure Country' sound that is Very Rare.....

What can you say about Ronda Vincent! Amazing. And her Brother!! WoW!!

Brother didn't know the words. I think he needed a TelePrompTer ...

Hello, how are you doing?
I love the song so amazing, Hi Brenda
I'm 54 years old and have two loving grandsons and I sit wonder if are gonna have any great music like this to have the great memories of like I did. I was a young kid when this was playing on the radio and I loved back then and still do today. Would someone please make a time machine so I can load up my wife and grandsons and go back to this time.
AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow, her voice really held up well through the years.
I love the words of this song. I watched it so often
Oh man that’s the best thing I’ve ever herd.
I played keyboards for the kendalls in the late 80s. It was my first artist gig in Nashville and they were two of the nicest people that I met in this business.
When two people are in Love that shouldn't be in love with each other, Heaven is truly just a sin away. Love ya Jeannie
I remember that song back when I was a junior in high school during the 1977-1978 school year. :)
Graduated in 1980. Was putting up hay for grandad the Summer this came out, one of many songs which reintroduced me to country music.
Love this song and Jeannie still sings it like no one else can. Awesome!!
Agree with all the comments of how great Jeannie sounds. And Rhonda, and the whole band. Can't help but remember that two-part harmony of Jeannie's with her dad, sharp as a knife edge. Beautiful!
I remember listening to that song with her and her dad singing it together

Jeannie sounds great and the Vincent's and the band all do a fantastic job. Love this gal !!!!
Never get tired of this song!
Met her, her Father, and Freddy Fender when I DJ'd a Concert performance in Brownwood Texas in 1979. They were Super down-to-Earth folks, and I discovered the Kendalls hailed from my Home State of Arkansas.
She is Still a Super Singer, and I've been told Real Good Folk.
This is a big memory for me. ❤️
Hi dear how are you doing over there ?
Wow!! Her voice is timeless. Heavenly.
...my goodness, this woman's voice is spectacular.
I have loved this song. I can remember early 80s. Riding with my dad on motorcycle and he had 8 track of this . Had such a crush on her. Lol.
An All time classic! Can't beat the original- she's still got it!
She sings as well now as she did back in the day! Beautiful voice!! Love her singing!!
I'm very pleased to know I'm not the only one that loves😊😀 the song but when last did you play it.
@@ginocandia8036 I didn't "play" it so much as I listened to it on youtube where she was singing it with Rhonda Vincent and her brother., Darrren. I have watched that a few times in the last year because I can't believe how pure her voice is. This was a true family favorite when it came out and for a long while after and that song will not be forgotten by us. When did you last play it?
