Bc of TikTok and social media I´m so used to people with "unconventional" styles that I didn´t have any thoughts on her looks so I was like ¿¿¿¿ when I saw how they reacted to her, but I guess they´re old
I disagree. Madame's gimmick will likely entice some to follow suit. Still I would hope "fairies" stayed in children's books, as most mental institutions have shuttered. And an outlier like Florida's "Mar-a-Lago," for example, is enmeshed in smoke-and-mirrors and lets trumpanzees and sociopaths run wild. AGTs "Freckled Zelda" (FZ) is a GOOD singer but, with time, vocal coaching, and entering reality, she could soar. Encourage that. And be mindful that children watching the show might be "freaked out," twice, for soon discovering a certain reality: In her world Santa Claus lives next door. FZ, I'm sad to say, gives me the creeps, when not the heebee-geebees. With due respect, my good person.
@@kevinboone2178 hahaha why not!! The world Is too dull when you let yourself suck into these stereotypical standards of what normal would be. I like to think this is not only for entertainment! U know what makes me mad? The fact that EVERYONE in that room judged her before she sang. Simon had the balls to say that and they boohed at him while EVERYONE had a disgusted face before
Simon’s distaste for the flute, any flute, is hilarious. I don’t understand how anyone can hate the sound of a flute, they’re so beautiful & ethereal to me💖. ✌🏽✊🏽
Howie and Heidi were the only judges that really appreciated her entirely instead of picking and choosing about Freckled Zelda's performance. I love that Heidi prefaced the America's Got Talent is meant to have variety. The other two judges made backhanded comments about how she was dressed.
I don’t understand how is judging a contestant’s looks has anything to do with their talent. If ‘dressing up’ was her way to focus on the theme of her song so it’s alright if they wear it. Why break someone’s self-confidence by judging them like that without even testing them.
She has a GREAT voice for voice overs. Her enunciation is incredible. If Disney or someone else doesn't pick her up --THEY........... are losing. Her responses are SOOoooo REAL. What a lovely soul she is.
"Enchanting" was the word I was looking for. Her voice is not childlike but mature and comforting. She could certainly be in a fantasy movie as a "fairy godmother" of sorts.
@@brenda8837 when I heard her I first thought of the child memory of mine watching a anime (not know it was a anime) called “the last unicorn” it fits the vibe of her voice.

And Disney reduced them to THIS 👆🏻🖕🏻🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
I am impressed how she kept her voice from not being shaky, talking and singing, and playing the ocarina, because of how kind of shaky her hands were. Plus her singing gave me goosebumps on one of my favorite songs, and I get goosebump super rarely when I hear someone sing. Congrats girly, congrats. I wish her nothing but the best of luck in this competition
I love how she didn’t hesitate to tell them she wouldn’t change her appearance for the show. She’s being herself, and not a lot of people are confident enough to do that.
The judges are living proof that you can literally be so close minded about society, but put a front on for the cameras and not be cancelled. This is who this fairy is, she was amazing inside and out.
She’s cosplaying Zelda from legend of Zelda she’s a entertainer she knows she isn’t a fairy and isn’t trying to deceive people she’s just a girl having fun and being comfortable with her interests she even Refrenced the video game
First off all she isn't a fairy. That's her character that's she's portraying for the performance. And second they are allowed to judge people. They are JUDGES. That's literally their job on the show, so chill. Lastly, she did prove them wrong by hitting it out of the ball park so good job for her. I think it hits more when they present themselves as someone who doesn't have talent but then blows everyone away with what they can do.
Keep the ocarina, keep the outfit, keep the persona, and change nothing. You don’t have to explain a MF THING - she’s awesome and I would GLADLY (if I were a judge) give her a gold buzzer. The ocarina made me tear up 🥹😌✌🏾
I've seen her on TikTok and I follow her, but i've never heard her sing before until just now! She's got SUCH an amazing voice and I can't wait to see her in the next round!
I follow her on TikTok and know she’s good at playing the ocarina, didn’t know she could sing too. She did so good, her voice is so beautiful man. I love that she’s keeping true to being a fairy, definitely speaks to me on another level as I’m someone who loves fantasy myself. Really hope she gets far, and I definitely believe she will😌
I love that she can be herself, and I also love that she claimed this song in the way she did, it's such a beautiful song and a fairy is singing it, how wonderful!
A lot of performers don’t look like your “normal” everyday person or celebrities. She’s beautiful, I love her aesthetic, and her voice and the playing of her unique instrument was amazing!!!
It’s so upsetting that the judges didn’t appreciate the ocarina and judged her for her character. She has incredible talent, and her uniqueness is very nice and refreshing. The costume was pretty, too :)
Ikr, I love how Freckled Zelda plays the ocarina and when Simon said "I don't think the instrument was necessary" hit me REAL hard because I can't even play a simple song on a simple instrument-
We need more people like her. Not just in the music industry but just in general. She's clearly unafraid to be herself and she didn't let the doubt stop her from performing and putting on a good show. Good for her and I hope she finds success, even if it's not from AGT
The flute, her costume, voice and the song fits her perfectly, well, her voice was kinda deep than I initially expected, but it was really enchanting and gorgeous!!!!
Really? I was expecting her to sound more ethereal--like Celtic music or something. She has a lovely voice, but I don't know how well it works with the whole fairy getup. Sounds more like a pop singer than a wood sprite.
I really cannot stand how she is instantly judged, I know Simon is brutally honest but giving those faces before a performance is just stupid in my opinion. You never know what someone has up their sleeve, she totally won this. 🏆
The audience was quick to judge as well because you can clearly hear them snickering and laughing at her as she walks on stage. Then the audience has the audacity to boo Simon for judging her when they were doing it too
She slays in tiktok, in freckled forest, and even in this talent show. She slays everywhere. edit: HELLOOOOOO? OML AAAAAAAAA- ONLY IN 1 WEEK? I'M SO HAPPY WTF edit pt. 2: I'm calling my mother that I'm famous
I've been following her on TikTok for quite awhile. She is so talented, and is definitely going places. Love her! I hate that the judges were so mean to her though...
I think Heidi and Howie were pretty nice. Simon is and forever will be Simon. He's gotten a little better, but he still fits the "rude British" stereotype, and honestly he and Gordan Ramsay are probably where that stereotype comes from. Sofia wasn't super mean, but a little bit judgemental. I think I typically like Heidi the best as a judge. She's just generally supportive unless the act is obviously very bad. But even the ones she doesn't particularly like, most of the time, she's pretty good at giving constructive criticism rather than just putting people down. But they all have their days.
They doubted Lindsey Stirling when she was dancing with a violin and even told her that she couldnt sell out concerts doing that. Just because it seems different and weird to them doesnt mean there isnt a market. I love that this woman is committed to her character.
She’s totally going places. I love how committed she is to her fairy character, the outfit, the song, and her general personality. I could tell she was shaky and a little nervous but she held it together and sang and played the instrument beautifully. She was so unique and Simon’s reaction was really blunt, his reactions kinda always are. She deserved a standing ovation from everyone.
The judge's initial reactions remind me of the first time Susan Boyle walked onto the stage. Then, Susan opened her mouth and began singing. Same with this young woman. I love any type of flute music, and her voice is stunning. 👏👏👏👏
So proud!! She has videos of her playing her music, for around 4 years, maybe more. Her voice is insane. She’s great.💕💕💕💕💕 I think people like her, this year, has brought what Americas got talent is supposed to be. 💕
It’s sad how society & “the judges” are so quick to judge a book by its cover. She has a truly enchanting Voice and plays the ocarina beautifully. She is Beautiful. And has a Beautiful voice. I could listen to her sing all day. We will be hearing more of her beautiful voice I’m sure. Freckled Zelda is awesome‼️
Yeah, you would think by now after all these years and especially after Susan Boyle who made them look like the over paid fools they really are, they would have grown up by now. They prejudge too often. How stupid is that?
i’ve followed her online for so long and was so excited to see her performance (: she did absolutely amazing and i’m so upset the judges and audience were so quick to judge her, just because of appearance alone. she’s such a beautiful person and an amazing performer, i’m glad she was able to show everyone what she can do with the ocarina and her voice! 💖
I agree ans same i seen loads of her tik toks but also i don’t understand why they judged her i for one think she looks awesome and really pretty i dont get why they laughed she has some talent!
I’m upset that she didn’t get the golden buzzer..her performance was absolutely breathtaking! I’m not too sure how I feel about how she was judged AS SOON as she walked on the stage. The AGT judges really seem a bit biased, huh? But anyways, amazing performance Freckled Zelda! Sending lots of love ❤❤❤
Her voice is super rich, one note it that she sang with her teeth quite a bit. I noticed during the verse she’d open her vowels which was great but when she ended on every longer word she wouldn’t let a lot of air out on her teeth when she was still in her chest region which can put strain on her vocal chords. I think that even one day with a vocal coach and she could have an even fuller and more even sound. Amazing work!
You can sometimes hear it in her voice and you can see her hands shaking pretty badly and she still put on an amazing performance! She was so nervous and you can tell and I’m so proud of her. She’s so beautiful and talented
I love how Heidi and Howie didn’t say anything rude or have a rude look on their face when she walked out unlike everybody else she’s so beautiful and unique and has such a strong pretty voice!! 🧚🏻♀️🌿🍄💙
Literally half the crowd was giving her strange looks then quickly switched up when they realized she can sing 💀 like c'mon- they know damn well they also thought it was gonna end up terrible-
I'm a huge fan of the Legend of Zelda series, and when I saw her outfit, the earrings, and the ocarina, I was expecting her to do something out of the Zelda franchise. I think the Ocarina is a beautiful instrument, but if Simon hates the flute, there's no way he's going to appreciate the ocarina. She stated it looks like a sweet potato because ocarinas were typically constructed out of hallowed out sweet potatoes. It is an instrument straight from nature. I didn't expect her to sing Colors of the Wind, but that also fits the theme of nature, and her voice was incredible. I loved every part of it.
I’ve followed her journey from Tik Tok and was shocked when I saw this thumbnail. She’s always given me the purest and most positive attitude towards life and I felt kinda upset when they judged her by her appearance and disregarded her lightheartedness in the beginning.
Not sure why she was low-key judged for her appearance- this persona, clothes and all, takes dedication, time, and money, and it’s beautiful. On top of that, her voice is gorgeous and she plays the ocarina! I love her ❤️
Yeah I was wondering the same. Dont know if it was an edit but that awkward silent. It was nothing wrong. Its like a personsa for who she is when she is on stage vs probably in her private life or even is this is who she choses to be in private life as well 🤍 people act like if it was weird or something
My guess is because there's a time and place for most things, but cosplay for a talent show isn't exactly one of them unless the talent show was specifically geared towards cosplay design. If you want to be taken seriously then act accordingly. For example, answering "what is your name?" with "I'm freckled Zelda" on national television is a pretty good way to shoot yourself in the foot when trying to make a good 1st impression. Now, if the theatrics were just a means of protecting herself (identity, where she lives) then I could understand, but that's never established so... we're expected to believe this is freckled Zelda being serious with herself.
I think she's much more of a powerhouse entertainer (instruments, stories, taking the viewer on a journey, interactive backdrops on her stage, costumes, the history behind her show, etc..) than she is a singer or songstress.
Really have to give her props, I'm not sure I've seen anyone so nervous yet still pull it off. Very interesting persona. Her voice was great despite her nervousness. Well done lady, well done.
Her voice is beautiful. Her hair looks real. She has the cutest little freckles and I think they're even on her fairy ears as well. She has the cutest nose and beautiful smile and personality. And did I mention she has an amazing unique voice that I could listen to all day. I loved her potato flute just as much too. Love love love the fairy. Put her in with some beautiful fantasy forest with birds and unicorns and mountains and rivers on stage and take us all back to our childhood dreams of fairytales.🤗❤
Nice comment. Her performance struck a chord for me as well and reminded me of "childhood dreams." She has a powerful and pure voice that adults can appreciate and a persona that children will enjoy. I loved the potato flute too. I see many possibilities for her future and hope to hear more.
That is what I thought, it took me right back to Lord of the Rings actually, very ethereal sounding and beautifully played. I don't agree with Simon that she should ditch it.
@@Belzebel She is original in that she was unashamedly herself on that stage. Not everyone has the guts to go outside like that in full quirk and put yourself on display. Her persona might borrow from existing sources but with time and cultivation she could build something better.

She's so theatrical !!! From her pronunciations in the way she speaks to her motions and movements. She would be spectacular in theatrical performances!!! Her voice on its own is amazing, but her personality on top of that makes her a billion times better.
I actually really like the ocarina, as well as her voice. The ocarina (which literally means "little goose") is an Italian wind instrument, and I've always loved its sound. She plays it very beautifully, and it fitted both the song and her.
The Ocarina is actually a South American Instrument found in Mexico, South America, and Central America. Its has been around for over 4,500 years. It is related to the Xun instrument from 12,000 years ago in China and Mesoamerica.
@@debbiefox6846 yes, both are true. the ocarina was standardized in italy in the late 1800s and then this style she's using was re-introduced and re-standardized in east asia! (search transverse taiwanese ocarina). that's why it was popular in japan before zelda introduced the west to it!
I didn't think someone like her would actually appear in this type of show :o ( she really slayed with her performance tho I love how she dresses and uses her instruments
I was surprised how much there still is judgement against people (and fairies) that do not fit the society's norm in AGT. It's literally a show, about showing the world something you are talented at. It would make sense for a person who lives outside the norm to have different things they are good at. (For example, people from cultural minorities have skills picked up from their surroundings that an average American doesn't.) It would be good for a program like this to judge less from the get go and not only after somebody has "earned" the right to be seen as equal to other people. Otherwise, great voice and great performance. Sorry for the rant, it might have been bad editing as well.
I think this is probably done on purpose so the viewers can empathize with the underestimated performer and get this feeling that they are watching an underdog surprising everyone. Makes everything more dramatic and stuff, but yea I agree with u it would be better if they just respected all performers and stoped judging bfore the show.

so true! she is truly amazing!

I think the Ocarina is a beautiful instrument, but if Simon hates the flute, there's no way he's going to appreciate the ocarina.
