1: he can one shot you from 5 blocks, even with the best armor.
2: If you look away he comes after you.
3: His hitbox is at his toes. Have fun killing him with a sword :p
4: totem of undying can save you from him.
5: building up 3-5 blocks can save you from him
6: there can be more the 3

You have to fight it back or else you ger debuff.
Things like : making visual contact and running other direction
Staying put and crouching
You get scared and get the effect "It gnaws on your spine (if I remember the lore accuratly).
It starts with mining fatigue and end with total immobilisation as you become spineless, paralized by your fear.
@@JérémyAdrian-l3b should also include a multiplayer feature where only one player at a time will be able to see and experience it, further enhancing the lore-accuracy.

The jericho trumpets are a sign of judgement day, where Jesus returns, sin on earth will be cleansed and every human will either turn to heaven or hell. This makes it especially scary due to the sense of dread. The minecraft mod sucks at bringing it across, but the existential dread you feel when you KNOW that you'll die, worst case in a slow, painful way is enough to send shivers down my spine.
Im pretty sure the Boiled One is the vengeful spirit of the war criminal Mutsushiro Watanabe, or a manifestation made by the crimes he committed. It gets explained later on.
