There wolf, there castle. Idk why I thought about that line from Young Frankenstein when they were talking about werewolf. 😉😂🤣 And there was no Phantasmagoria 1 either with no Games until a few years ago with having a female protagonist, and even in the early days of video games, there was no Ms. Pac-Man either. 😉 But seriously now, really enjoying this. Hopefully now that you've all but caught up with where you were before, you can continue. Thank you so very much for this.
I think the opening scene of chapter 2 is the only time we ever see New Orleans in this game, and I don't think we ever see it in the 3rd game. I can't tell whether or not Grace is lying to that customer about the "Accident" that Gabriel was in. His parents indeed died in a car accident when he was 8, and that surely affected his life and his personality. Wash she talking about that? Or did she just make that up? 9:26 Yeah, he can either live in this comfy, newly renovated castle, or he can go back to living in the back of a book store. I wonder which option he is going to choose. 15:37 Grace shouldn't need him to answer that question for her. She should be able to figure it out on her own. She's smart. 26:40 Sometimes, the game freezes at this exact moment. I think it depends on how long you've been playing. If you saved, then quit the game at the beginning of chapter 2, and then returned to the game, it's less likely to freeze here. If you've been playing nonstop from the very beginning and haven't saved and quit the game even once, it's more likely. This is a recurring issue with Sierra games from the 90's. With Phantasmagoria and Torin's Passage, if you play for more than an hour, the cursor will sort of freeze and you'll only be able to move it left and right; you'll never be able to move it up and down until you control-alt-delete out of the game. In King's Quest 5, if you play from the beginning to the end without ever saving and quitting, it usually freezes when you start the cheese machine. King's Quest 6 sometimes just quits after you've been playing for an hour. The worst is the 3rd Gabriel Knight game, which just freezes every 3 screens or so. Or at least, all of these things happen with these games on my computer. Could be different with yours. Yeah, I don't like Grace in this game. At least not at first. She's a jerk. Gerde did absolutely nothing wrong and she was perfectly nice. If I were in Gerde's position, I'd not let Grace stay there if she's gonna talk to me like that. She also doesn't seem to as as smart as I thought. She thought Gerde and Gabriel were having sex. But that's how these games go. In the first one, I started off not liking Gabriel himself, but by the end I was fine with him. This time, it's Grace who needed to mature. The character development of these 2 characters, as individuals and as a couple, is one of the most fascinating things you'll ever see in a video game. I liked her actress, though. The character was born in Japan and Joanne Takahashi is the only girl ever to play the character who ever looked like the character is supposed to look. Takahashi was actually born in San Francisco, but I guess she's from a Japanese family. Leah Remini did a great job, but she definitely does not look like Grace. In the first game, that did not matter because we didn't see the actors, but it mattered in this game. And in the 3rd game, the acting was fine but her voice... I'm not sure how to describe that voice that actress gave her but I'm not a huge fan. So, for me, Takahashi is the definite Grace actress just like Dean Erickson is the definitive Gabriel actor. No one is comparing their careers to those of Leah Remini and Tim Curry and no one is insulting those 2 legends. I just think that for these particular characters, Erickson and Takahashi were the best fit. Paramount Plus recently released the full episode of Sabrina the Teenage Witch" called "Christmas Amnesia," the episode in which Kay Kuter (who did Huber in this game) appears. When I saw that episode, my reaction was "Whoa! That's Huber from Gabriel Knight 2!" It's one of my top 5 favorite episodes of that show and it's one of my favorite things to watch at this time of year.

Herr knight's libary is one of the best in the game
If I ever travel to the USA, Near Orleans is one location I wish to visit.
It can be interesting! I've been there three times in my life.

She was making it up out of jealousy.
