Got the CD-ROM talkie big box edition in a bargain bin at Kay-Bee-Toys for like $10 as a teenager and had a great time with it. It's a perfectly fine cozy adventure game. Replayed it a bunch.
My brother and I played this when we were very little. I was 5. He was 7. I haven't revisited it since. I remember kind of liking it back then, but I felt that the King's Quest and Space Quest games were better. My brother told me that those games were for adults, yet he never seemed to notice the hypocrisy of telling me that when he himself played those games as a pre-teen. He also never bothered to explain, if those games were for adults, why our parents bought us those games and let us play them (our parents weren't the meanest or strictest parents in the world, but I guarantee they wouldn't have bought for us or allowed us to play Leisure Suit Larry or Phantasmagoria, but they did buy us the King's Quest and Space Quest games. And we didn't even have to wait until they were not home to play those games: we could play those games right in front of them). All he told me is that's the reason you can't die in this game or make it unwinnable but you can die in those other games. Looking at Adam now feels different. Now, he looks small. I didn't think that when I played this and I was the same size as him, if not even smaller. 0:23 and 14:50 I can hear it just fine I remember when I couldn't pronounce "Adam." I put too much emphasis on the 2nd syllable and pronounced it like "A dam." 2:10 That looks like the computer my parents had when I was 4, which is the first computer I ever saw. 7:36 LOL! Yeah, it sounds like you're brutally murdering the bird with a machine gun or something. Not a good sound effect 11:18 You got 2 points for it. You were at 16 and that gave you 18. 13:48 Yeah, I was laughing with you guys. 19:42 This game might have point inflation, where you get a lot of points for minor actions that'd only get you 1 point in other games. So, while you have to score a lot of points to win, you might not not have to do a lot. Just do a few things and get a lot of points for those things (but it's been a long time since I played so I might be wrong). 20:40 Now, I do. Back then, I didn't. I'd heard the name, but didn't care. He did get talked about a lot in my area when he played for the Wizards. But he didn't help them win. 20:47 Yup
This was one of the earlier P&C Adventure games I remember ever playing as a child and it's always been stuck in my memory. Thank you for doing this one.
Been a long request. I think the voice acting wore me out so bad we didn’t play it or I didn’t get very far. Just because it was kiddie. I regret that.
Well, frisbee aside, seems like one of the more simpler Sierra games so far. However, when it said that the dolphin was getting frisky, considering it's Sierra, I got scared it was entering into Leisure Suit Larry levels. 😉😂🤣 But seriously, was enjoying this. Thank you so very much for this.
There are people who hate this game?! This is great! As a kid it take a long time to finish that puzzle with the floater near the end. I also barely spoke English back then, so that didn't help.
This is the farthest thing from a bad game, I grew up on it and it's what first made me care about the environment. I always loved the gerbil dance at the start, it was really funny.
Cedric missed his chance to talk about his favorite game! There’s a plug for KQ5 if you look at the computer screen in the first room. So people hate this game? I always considered this to be one of Sierra’s best edutainment titles.
Ive heard the same thing that some people say they didnt like this but from ive seen its not that bad. I quite enjoyed Peppers Adventures in Time and that had decent music in it too.
Getting super high on nostalgia
I've been waiting for you to play this.
I know a lot of people have been!
Join "Adam" as he befriends a dolphin!

I enjoyed it a lot.
That's the one I played. It had Brittany Benov (who sadly died of an overdose in 2005) as the voice of Delphineus.

Adam can't hear the music because we are using teams and it won't share the screen sound and my mic at the same time.
@@SaxcatGamingCorner Oh
I also agree with point inflation, make the kid feel like they are accomplishing something!

Always got to watch the blowhole

It shows up on a lot of people's lists and it has pretty low scores. I was shocked. It isn't bad at all.

love me some Pat Metheny, although I've always been more of a John McLaughlin guy.

It’s come up apparently. I was looking at “bad games” for my video and it came up three times.

I've played Pepper like...once? It was fine.
