- In this video, I'm gonna rate how good these DDR games are based off of 2 things: The song list and the gameplay. Let me know what you'd change in the comment section down below!
You nailed my #1!
The let them move hate 😭😭
The vocals are so bad, even Naoki hates it
@@RigbyIsTheMan I find the song super nostalgic and the vocals don't event ruin it for me lol
@@burni988I don't hate it either. I wouldnt say it's top tier, but it is catchy and it makes me nostalgic for the old "How To Play" screen.
If it weren't for the vocals the song would be a hit
@@FembotFangirl not the vocals fault. they were good but naoki mixed them terribly
DDR Disney Mix should've been #1 solely because of It's A Small World (Ducking Hardcore Mix)
My Top 10 for home consoles
1. Dance Dance Revolution's Max 1 & 2
2. Dance Dance Revolution Supernova
3. Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2
4. Dance Dance Revolution Extreme
5. Dance Dance Revolution Konamix
6. Dance Dance Revolution Ultra Mix 2
7. Dance Dance Revolution Supernova 2
8. Dance Dance Revolution
9. Dance Dance Revolution Ultra mix 3
10. Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix
Honorable Mention: Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party
supernova 1 has a place in my heart
I messed up on a couple things.
If anybody had noticed that there is no #14, that's because I accidentally put 2 #15's on this video.
I also forgot to state that I've never played DDR Mario Mix either.
I also made the mistake of forgetting to make the letters bold on the last text about DDR Extreme 2's explanation. It says "Dance Master Mode is my favorite Mission Mode in the series, because that's the unlockable system on this game, and there are tons of unlockables. If you don't know what the whole song list contains, play this game and you'd be surprised at what appears on this iconic game."
I also grew up with Extreme 1!
Dude, this was a great video and I agree 100% with the Xbox games, though I'd switch SN2 and X and probably lower Extreme a tad bit, It's a good game though even though its a bit on tier with Universe 2. Great video though, keep it up. 👍
I just seen this comment. I respect your opinion!
Interesting, my game back in the day was DDR max, but I never tried anything else. I have DDR max 2 on the way, and i'll probably pick up Extreme 2 and Supernova based on your recommendations. Cheers!
You'll have tons of fun with all 3 games! Supernova might be a bit difficult to unlock the music, but the list is memorable.
DDRMAX 1&2 along with konamix are my favorites.
Been playing DDR since 2004 and I own all of the US and JP mixes. My Top 5 US mixes would be
1) DDR II (Pretty much a home version of X2 and excellent for high level play)
2) SuperNOVA (One of the rare mixes that was on par with it's JP counterpart. Contained some of the best songs from Ultramix 2/Strike. Has Freckles AND Love Shine )
3) Max 2 (Similar to SuperNOVA. The US release is on par with it's JP counterpart)
4) Universe 3 (Has a clean/modern UI and is a precursor to the new direction DDR was going in)
5) Max (has a plethora of Konami originals/classics. Overall fun classic songlist)
Bc im biased and grew up with it, I also agree Extreme is great lol
Didn't playstation 2 have the Best DDR games?
i believe they did, in my opinion.
imagine not putting dce at #1, it's literally the official coth anime
I LOVE DDR EXTREME 2 SO MUCH I WOULD BUY A CABINET
DDR USA (CS) = DDR 3rdMix PLUS
DDR Konamix = DDR 4thMix PLUS
DDRMAX (CS USA) = DDRMAX (AC)
DDRMAX2 (CS USA) = DDRMAX2 (AC)
DDR Extreme (CS USA) = DDR Festival
The Wii, Xbox, and 360 games really made me hate this series for a while. One had too many weird songs and indies and the other was a stripped down game missing modes like Edit Mode or Doubles in favor of gimmicks. It would take DDR to being an arcade game again to make me like the series.
I've only played the PS2 DDR games, but I have to agree with your #1! That game just did everything right. I was actually spoiled with the best cause it was the first DDR I ever played, and what a way to be introduced to the series! I'd personally put Max 2 right under it, but that might be nostalgia kicking in. 🤣
Max 2 was an amazing game as well.
Kimono Princess Was Also A Boss Song in DDR X2 USA For The PS2, if I May Add In, hm?
Agree with the Options music on DDR Extreme being amazing!
ranking european dancing stage games from worse to best (based on what i've played)
1. dancing stage euromix
thanks for watching
1:37 is that Tom Brady in the ps3 cover back in the day? 😂
LMAOOOO
EXTREME 2, MAX 2, and SuperNova were my faves. Their counterparts were also very good. Well console EXTREME ain't THE arcade EXTREME but we made due.
Ultramix was actually my first console game but that was my only Xbox title, when I got MAX 2 on PS2 it was ON and STAYED ON.
Extreme 2 was the GOAT! made me wish i never bought supernova. :(
My personal ranking:
1.DDR Extreme 2
2.DDR MAX
3.DDR Ultramix 3
4.DDR 3rd Mix
5.DDR 4th Mix
Great listing imo
Totally agree with top 3. The only thing I would've done is put Supernova in first and X2 in third.
Extreme 2 is forth but is still very good in my opinion.
Also Ultramix 2 is easily my second favorite. :)
Mario mix?
I've never played Mario Mix yet.
I would rank DDR X about 10-15 ranks higher. I get that it's not the most mainstream-appealing of the DDR titles, but it was the closest that the NA region got to a *near perfect arcade version,* and it did a great job of bridging the difficulty gap from MAX songs to Fascination/Pluto songs, while ALSO including half of the planet songs neglected by SuperNOVA 2. Plus, for having Street Master Mode, the second greatest "Master Mode" after Dance Master Mode, and the Xmixes, a concept I wish they stuck with for X2 and X3 and I'm sad they didn't.
SuperNOVA 2 has some of the best and most consistently fun licenses, as well as a great selection of originals; and next to DDR II for Wii, the second-most boss-level songs on one mix, so I'd at least bump that a +5 as well.
Finally, Universe 3 is just *barely* above Ultramix 2, imo; and I think it deserves the Silver between that and Extreme 2. Extreme 2 is just hands-down the incomparably perfect DDR experience IMO, even better/moreso than Extreme JP.
Agree wholly on Supernova and Extreme2. Would have made SN be #1 just for personal preference tho. It was my first DDR experience.
Imagine putting X below X2
My thoughts exactly.
The first one that i've played on PS2 was SuperNOVA 1 and i'm glad because i really liked it, then i played Ultramix 3 on a friends house and it was really unique. Very good games
bro i had to commebnt i subscribed to you as well but listen.......im 36 and since i packed away all my nintendo systems.. playstations and all that and was to lazy to take them out i downloaded ps2 emulator just to download dance dance revolution extreme 2 :O .... as i never beat the game but to me this was the best dance dance revolution game ever made and i never even p-layed any other dance dance game ever l...... and the fact this is number 1 on your list ? iz phucked up causew i guessed it be at least top 5 or top 3 without knowing the other games lmao and you made it number 1 ...... this is amazing lmao :D
u also forgot to mention tha DLCs of Ultramix 1-4 u can still get through a softmod method
also YAY my 1st DDR game "DDR Extreme 2" made #1
What!? We can do that?
@@빙칠링고양이 yep! even i have of video of me doin' a softmod on my OG XBOX just to get tha DLCs of all 4 Ultramix games
Im sorry but supernova was so overhyped. Song list is decent but max 2 literally did not have a bad song. Max 2 and extreme 2 are a close race
I just picked up ultramix 2 in a lot, glad to see it's the second best game in the series!
oh yeah, huge memorable list. unfortunately, you won't see the DLC (unless you know how to mod an xbox), but the song list on the disc is good enough anyways.
Anothed problem with Hottest Party 1 was no options meaning having to put up with 1x speed...
I would literally buy them all now, I just bought an LTEK, so I can use it at home, but it'll only work with PS2 and PC, I wish there were adaptors for all the systems. I know i have Stepmania, but there is just something different playing on console or real DDR/ITG Machine.
I WIDELY prefer SN2 over SN1, but thats just nostalgia, I grew up with SN2 and Hottest Party 1.
I Totally Agree with This List!!! The Only Thing that I would do is Switch 3rd Place (DDR SUPERNOVA) with 2nd Place (DDR ULTRAMIX 2)!!! I feel like DDR SUPERNOVA Did Way Better Than DDR ULTRAMIX 2, even tho I Have Never Played DDR On My XBOX 360!!! And DDR EXTREME 2 is My All Time Fav DDR Game in The DDR Series, yes 😇🥰😇🥰!!! Like and Reply if you Agree!!!
i hate double steps with a passion
but can we talk about double jumps and fire whoever thought they were okay
and by fire i don't mean take away their job i mean set them on fire
What software did you use to make simple videos like that?
Honestly, I used movie maker, the specific version for windows 7. I have a windows 10 computer and installed it on here just to make editing easy
@@hamsand210 Sorry for posting late. I see this video can go up to 1080p. What was the size after exporting it into mp4?
@@빙칠링고양이 it was 104MB. I just found images and posted text lol, you can also have a choice to save the movie in high definition when you're done editing.
alright list, though more licenses isnt a good thing, ultramix 1 and 2 had ok licenses but for the most part every other game was worse off for them. MAX2 had really good ones though, almost all trance stuff and has a good course for trance songs in nonstop. ultramix 2 being second is an alright pick but i would put ultramix 1 much much higher for having more originals / bemani crossovers, and i would drop X lower. also ultramix 3 being that high is some cracksmoking im not ready for, licenses in DDR games suck. the best home ddr game has been extreme jp forever because 0 licenses, all originals, close to arcade experience, etc, the further you move away from that game the worse it is. i should rank these myself but im lay z. ultramix 1 and 2 would be top 3 and obviously extreme 1 or 2 would be number 1, though those games should have just been combined, ps2 was a powerful system idk why they split them. anyways solid list.
DDR X is too low in my opinion
How dare you put my boy DDR (2010) (Wii) on the bottom of the list. If anything, Hottest party 1
& 2 deserve to be there.
>:(
8:28 Dude, WTF are in your mind??? 😂
lmao i probably am out of my mind
