- sry guys. i was on an unplanned hiatus for a long while. again.
here comes a video that compiled every single jump from the share practice on yuzuru hanyu’s new channel.

Look, between all the unfairness targeting him from the ISU and JSF, I can't even say I'm sorry for his retirement from competitions. I'm just glad his continuing on his own path and pursuing his own figure skating. He is the king of this era, and he always will be.

it actually feels like he's just off to heal his body and might surprise us with a come back after a year or 2. He's hardly doing any show or tour and simply trying to land 4A which - IMO - is moot point if he had actually retired for good. Years ago, according to BOrser - they have been talking about his retirement after PyeongChang but Yuzu is just kinda stubborn, he said it light heartily and amusedly
Yuzuru Hanyu’s scoring had always been interesting, he tends to be underscored when he does well but overscored when he doesn’t do well (I.e having multiple falls).
He looks so tiny and delicate until you realize how incredibly hard he skates.
And at the end of the practice he says that he is very tired, how can he not be with so many jumps that he has done in a single practice? I wonder where he gets so much strength and energy from being asthmatic, Yuzuru really is an unusual case for everything. We must take care of him and cherish him as much as possible because he is unique, no one will ever be able to reach the greatness of Yuzuru.
Hanyu likely stayed up to late the night before slipping his tongue and other things down Winnie-the-Pooh's throat. Gumby the figure skater lives.

I love his entry to the jumps. He flows right out of the step sequences into the air. Amazing technique. And such poise, with all those eyes and cameras trained on him!

He's going to set a record WHEN he accomplishes his goal doing a 4A. Champions 🥇🏅🏆 don't go out practicing letting their past injuries 🤕 determine their future goals. Me too l ! Love this combo and his jumps so flawless and effortles, i always wonder why he didnt jump other combinations i think he was injured maybe? , his 4Lz was beautiful too!
@@ciriaespinosa7423 Yup. During comps, he's almost always injured. He seemingly can't do a Lo and Lz while technically injured for 4A. It even affected his 4S, imo, in the Oly.
There's this Rodney Mills who replied to me saying Yuzu is "really quite old to be in this sport" but I wonder if they deleted it. Yuzu does get injured a lot and in the practice it is evident that he pops some jumps due to the pain running from his right hip to his ankle. But he also proved in the same practice that he can still perform those jumps.

His lutz>>>> he's going to be missed in competition that's for sure. Also, it looked as if he slightly overrotated his first 4Lo. Only yuzu lmaoooo. And the sheer amount of quads he jumped in one practice session is absurd.

Конечно мы видели их в "Share practice" и восхищались их красотой и техникой, но здесь - на этом видео, их конгломерат впечатляет безумно. Thanks a lot for identifying the jumps. I'm always messed up with the loop and the flip. I will never get tired of watching the great Yuzuru Hanyu. Keep on posting more videos.
Loop is edge jump, legs cross over before takeoff. Flip is toe jump, usually entered through a 3-turn before takeoff. Personally I confuse flips with toeloops the most since they are both toe jumps entered from turns.

@@pahoellyyy Flip is with the right foot and Toeloop with the left foot, what is hard for me to identify is Flip and Lutz because they are both with the right foot but the edge is different and very difficult to see at this speed.

Can someone explain why he quit if he is still practicing extremely difficult jumps? Most people quit cuz they cant take it anymore and want to relax from all this!
The reason he's not competing b/c he doesn't want his hard work to be scored by corrupt judges anymore, he said "scoring is not needed for my skating, I prefer to perform for the ppl who like/appreciate my skating". He's continuing as a pro athlete and to be able to perform clean programs like (Rondo+Seimei) he practice hard to stay fit, and also landing 4A is still his goal to achieve for personal satisfaction.
Another reason is ISU just removed the transitions/interpretation of music from the PCS so basically there's nothing much left to do in the competitions but jumping only and Yuzuru is known for his beautiful/difficult transitions and interpretation of music, he will continue skating the way he wants (not what ISU wants)
He's retired from the very high level official competition circuit. He has not, thankfully, quit the ice altogether as you can see. As for his reasons, that's his personal choice. We will continue to see technical and artistic innovation from this greatest of skaters.
He's practicing to continue as a professional athlete and he has some personal goals to achieve... and about quitting the competitions he said on July 19 press conference > "I no longer seek to be judged (in that sense) anymore" and almost everyone knows which sense he's talking about...

I think Chen will never comeback and will retire next season. In the next winter olympics his going 26 and will not be the next Olympic champion coz many skaters now has a lot of jumping technique. Some skaters just retire after the olympics
