  • A few days of winter fly fishing in New Jersey, January 2022. This is my first attempt at both filming & editing, so bear with me as I continue to improve the quality as I go! For some of these sessions I did yet not have a polarized lens - which is quite important for filming on the water. Expect a lot less glare in all future videos. :)
Thank you for taking the time to watch, I have a lot planned for the upcoming spring season and can't wait to share it with everyone. More news on that front coming soon.
Hope to chat with some of you in the comments.
    Cheers!
    ~ Willy

Fellow NJ fly fisherman here. Nice work on the video. You're braver than I am going out in that cold. Looking forward to watching some more.

Thanks m8!!! Appreciate that, still getting the hang of the whole video thing. Yeh we fished a few weekends ago during a blizzard, was 8 degrees. That one was particularly brutal lmao

Appreciate it mate!! Yeh the Gorge is a beautiful stretch of the river. Gets pressured pretty badly but for good reason, a lot of nice trout in there.

Hell yea! Gorge has been pretty fun this winter I can't lie. Less traffic than in springtime by far- excited to hit it when it warms up a bit too though.

Thanks brah!! Stoked to get the channel going. Hope you stick with the fly fishing man, it can be a pretty frustrating thing in the beginning, but its so worth it once you get the hang of things.

@@yeoldestankywaders2649 yeah it's been almost 3 months now since I started and I've already learned a ton I also do alot of ultralight fishing with spinning gear little 5 foot 6 rods I think packing a ultralight and a fly rod is perfect for my needs sometimes there is holes I can't fish with the fly rod but I can with the ultralight and vise versa so it works out great

@@frankrizzo1826 what’s goin on Frank, most of this is at the Kenlockwood Gorge, so it’s the raritan. I haven’t fished the Muskie much, definitely on the list though 👍🏼

**Hi all you NJ hardcore fly fishing RESIDENTS I no this is a year old but , i am trying to find out how many fly fisherman would like to do a 1 fly competition, or a big fish of the day or most trout caught in a day Competition. *NJ waters* . I see trout `unlimited come in and do a 1 fly competition on private waters were no one else can compete. Same with private waters, not all of us have 2 grand to join a private club yearly. Mainly for South branch section of *Kenlockwood Gorge* and the muskanetcong river and the Pequest, or just maybe the *( GORGE from 8am to 4pm 1 day competition) **If you would like to, in the comments here just put , your first name or initials, ya i think it be great. I met many fly fishers from NJ, they all said the same never see anything for the public

Hey mate, this was mostly central NJ, the bigger sections are mostly the Kenlockwood Gorge. Have no problem calling it by name since it’s one of the most popular spots in the state. Great stretch of river!

They actually put fish in streams where you live? Damm,... we get 30 inch rainbows in alaska on a bad day. Glad i bont live down there

Sup Dale, yea sadly in almost rivers right near me they stock the rivers with bows. Just so many people/ so much pressure. Plenty of great rivers if I drive an hour or two away. My other video is an all wild trout stream. Nothing compared to Alaska over here though :) I’ll make it to Alaska some day. A dream of mine!
