Must be nice I work 5 tens on 3rd and they continually beg me to work 5 hours in the afternoon on sundays. Ive been with them for awhile, but just started the forklift. After a year i'm going somewhere else. I can't imagine 3rd shift if I didn't have to be there till 11pm my current position is ridiculous. No one stays, 90% turnover rate. They just don't get it.
This isnt necessarily material handling. I mean, they are handling materials, but this is more like order picking. I've done both, but usually a material handler will get product for machine operators or workers on a assembly line. Order pickers grab orders, pick them for a customer and prepare them for shipping. You might even load and unload trucks. Either way a Material handler jobs is not always the same. That title will depend on where you work. It can be super laid back or fast paced. Physical to some extent. Depends on what you are picking and the job. I actually worked with a few women so, its not really hard at certain establishments. All you do is drive around to locations and pick how many pieces you need all day. Throw it on a pallet and on to the next. Wrap the order after you are done and usually someone load it on a truck. With the right team order picking is somewhat fun because you try to out pick your colleagues 😄 You'll usually have a certain quota you must meet. My last job was 150 locations a night. It may not seem like alot, but trust me. If you slack too much yo ass will find yourself falling behind 😂 You just have to make sure you are picking more than bullshitting. You can take little breaks here and there, but run your numbers to see where you stand. I usually do it on breaks. If im on point I can chill. If I am behind I have to pick a little faster to catch up. Shit is really easy at some jobs. A little tougher at some others. Some jobs are freezers. Some very hot. Some deal with heavier product etc. Some jobs add on more shit than your job description lol. Like, here. They're doing a little more than I do. Those boxes are looking more on the heavy side too 😅 I pick mostly smaller items at most locations with a few heavy items here and there. Again, you don't have to move like a robot. Just keep a decent steady pace to make sure you reach whatever quotas you have.
I don’t know if I can believe this. No overtime? Working three days a week? Great pay? I’ve been fooled by such promises and yet I’m working nearly 16 hour days in a row and going from loader, case pick, material handler, to what else they require even if I finish my work in the time I was hired for apparently it’s not right for me to work an eight or ten or even twelve hour shift. I must work more.
I worked for this company in the past and it was literally hell on Earth. Don't waste your time applying here. Why do you think they are always hiring? Everybody quits...that's why!
They all look like 1 happy family on camera, but in reality off cam, you know they all hate that shit!!! Lol
No cap😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
BUNCH OF 🐂💩
