Great review. Thank You. I got an Echo Dot 3rd Gen (Charcoal) as a Birthday present, and two more with the .99 cent special through an Amazon music subscription promotion. They sound AWESOME strategically placed throughout my home. I'm seriously thinking about adding one more in the form of the Echo in RED (Special Edition) to my collection. There's an Echo for everyone and every room (LOL), and you really can't go wrong with any of the Echo's in my opinion. Once again thanks for the review. I forgot to mention I also have the Echo Imput and it does exactly what it's supposed to do.

had an echo studio. excellent speaker. very good if you are in the amazon speaker echo system and want something with excellent sound. doesn’t sound as clear as the apple homepod, however this is still an excellent speaker and i would recommend it

The Echo Plus is $79 CAD atm, got it along with a Kasa smart speaker fro another $10 CAD. For me, this was the best deal.
Honestly the best and crystal clear video comparison on all alexa products. Even a new user who has not enough knowledge on Alexa would be able to easily pick the right product by viewing your video. I have 2 of those Echo dots and those little guys hold their own better then most people would think. I always buy mine around Black Friday. Killer deals on Echo products. Good color options. That studio is very nice, as well as the Echo and plus. I was thinking of upgrading mine to something nicer on the next Black Friday event. I hope by then the bigger brothers will offer other color options. Only 1 color option on the larger units is rather boring. Thank you for the review. Listening through my Bose Mini 2 and using my iPad Pro 20.

I'm using a few Echo Input. No unnecessary features, and can use my own speakers + bluetooth if I need to move the speaker in another room.

3 years on, I have, in the last month bought a 3rd Gen Echo Dot (£25, they're still selling like hot cakes) for the living room, followed, very swiftly, by a 3rd Gen Dot with Clock (I picked one up from eBay, brand new, it came with a U.S. Plug, but I bought an official Amazon U.K. Plug) that turned out quite expensive, over £60 in total, for the bedroom.. I much prefer the puck/pork pie design!

Got the Dot with clock on offer, cost me only £24.99.
If you gonna put the Echo Dot with Clock on the living room, yeah, it’s a bad pricing. If you gonna use it in the kitchen (Timer/Clock) or bedroom (Alarm, Clock), it’s NOT a bad value. If you are thinking to use the Echo on a Living Room, get the Echo Studio.

The newest rage is all these Amazon speakers. It’s so hard to decide which one to buy. Especially if you’re only buying one!!! I do think I like the dot with the clock. Because it seems like the clock could double as a nightlight?!?!?so there is one thing, though, that I don’t like about any of these speakers. You know what it is? It’s the fact that there have been many many people that them have ended up with charges because theses speakers are being triggered by the owner’s voice and then the speaker is recording the conversations that are taking place. Sometimes illegal conversations? Lol. So I guess … what I’m trying to say is
Amazon Studio has the best bass, mid-range and high end. It presently retails at £189.99
I have the echo studio. What really makes me depressed is it doesn't have a clock like echo dot. I might order a clock off of Allie express and take it apart and add a clock to it.

why can't the echo studio connect through a fire tv? it has to be a fire stick or fire cube. it doesn't make sense
because thats just simply not how they made it. They have different hardware in them.

The ONLY speaker worth listening to music on is the Studio...stereo paired. Add Sub for serious Hip-Hop and R&B.
I'm so deeply invested in Sonos, and no smart speaker has even come close to Sonos' sound quality, IMO.

Alejandro Londono you’d get a louder sound from the echo gen 3. Two echo dots at full volume won’t be audibly much louder than one echo dot at full volume due to some audio science that is hard to explain. And echo dots do not sound great at full volume, whereas the echo gen 3 sounds way clearer.

Alejandro Londono definitely go for the full size echo over two dots. You’ll get fuller sound and more range just from the larger speaker.

Ive tried them all, but my recommendation is the echo studio for music as it destroys everything else including comparing it with 2 echo 4’s. The echo show 8 for everything else, plus both have built in hub. The show has a great sound and the convenience of a screen, plus with the new ability to support RUclips it’s a no brainer.
What was the track when you were testing out the sounds the first time?

Echo Studio looks awesome but it's too expensive for me right now. Maybe one day. You said that some have a built-in hub for smart devices? I don't understand why thats needed. I'm currently controlling my smart devices with my echo dot just fine. I have seen that some smart devices do need hubs but I just figured that's for people who don't have Alexa. I'm a little confused about all that.
Eric Scott hub is for zig bee items that need hubs, lights etc,,,
@@locotuss And those hubs are designed so you don't have 20 things taking up wifi slots, right? but the downside is that its another device you have to put somewhere in your home. Well having a hub in these devices solves that. Cool!
Great review but that big speaker sounded like a toilet. Very poor sound quality! I listened to it on a quad 606 amp and tanoy little red monitors

after spending many many hours installing skills and identifying correct player Alexia on its own fire stick 4k still can't open and play videos on plex. it's been so bad that I have swapped every Alexia command for devices on to Google and waiting for a shield. truth is Google assistant opening my TV, projector lights, changing hdmi channels has been more reliable. add that to a Google home mini search on Amazon and getting mostly shoes in return I find it hard to want anything from Amazon. if I type in a product name I don't want the Amazon equivilent
