Any man that puts God first loves his mum and is hard working will definitely be a great man.Love you Edris
Well said
yes dear sister
The media painted this legend bad to us. Never knew he is this humble and enlightened. God bless you Edris
the media has always been the problem in this world, they lie and paint the good ppl bad
i swear
God bless you for this understanding. I'll forever love Edris
Legend!!!! Big up man!! I love you too much! Honest bunch podcast make una dey carry people wen get sense come here! Una hear so! Not some tiktok hookups spitting gibberish!
I love how he acknowledges almost everyone who has helped him along the way. Truly there is no self-made man.
2, I love how the god-factor never ceases to pop up all the while he spoke.
3, a man who has family values is worthy to be talked about. Man has been grounded through it all.
4, shout out to great mothers and the engravings they make on kids. You recall the three things his mom told him never to do, you can see he's stuck to them.
4, I like how he's disciplined and intentional with his kids. He truly understands that every action will have dire consequences, eg, that of polygamy. You can truncate mistakes in your generation and refuse to pass it down.
5, never sit still. Move! Adventure! It may not be the thing, but it may be the thing that leads to the thing. Kai!
This is the biggest interview so far on this platform. The story of Idris is so touching. Respect man!
I'm telling you! It was so revealing…
Tbh I fall in love with him, I mean like everything about him right now, while I was watching the video I have to download some of his music in audiomack on repeat ❤❤❤
If we know this story then. Many will not hate eedris as much. Omo much respect.
i swear man
Honestly I cried
A lot of people saying rubbish on Instagram didnt come here to watch the whole episode, na cut and join wey bloggers dey post dem dey talk about. This is a legend and those of us that were born in 80's and before know him so well
yea, whatever it is i love Idris
U mean 90s

😊
Both @@tojusote4896
The fact that he can remember names and timelines of these events shows how focused he is
Yeah, you also noticed that. Not just their names but with their surnames. That really amazed me.
Yeah. He’s a detailed man
I'm Ghanaian, but listening to this is like listening to my country man speak because most of the musicians he mentioned were household names in the early 2000's. My most emotional part was when he said the wife said, "we would go inside and come back and everything will be fine".This discussion is legendary.Baba Eedris is seriously not our regular human.May God continue to bless his wife and their union.
Wow, this is amazing.
Wow… Helen Paul interview was educative but this Eedris interview is magnificent.
One thing am happy about him is that is all he achieved he still place God Almighty first ❤
Am Igbo, when it come to being ur brother’s keeper Hausa people are number one
That’s y no one can ever defeat em n take it from them
You're spot on
So we can all AGREE that we are bearing the name NIGERIA=LIEGERIA as a false country belongs to the Hausas, right?
Hausas are different from fulani...fulani are very bad and will never want other people to learn their language hence the reason they speak Hausa
Wowww, Eedris, you are a great guy. May you live long to fulfil your God-given destiny.
You are a Hero and a true Human.
When I heard that Eedris gave his tenants palliatives from his own purse during the pandemic, it got me thinking... This is very unusual. Now everything makes so much sense. There are somethings you go through that makes you not like any ordinary person. You are a living legend sir and your story is extremely inspiring. God bless you for all you have done for Nigeria and the industry.
Also, shout out to Mrs. Abdulkareem. You are a jewel ma'am. Thanks for being such a blessing to this legend.
One thing I learned is gratitude. This guys gave credit and that nonsense talk wey people dey talk say no one pave ways! Make them no talk am again.
Yes, he did for everyone
Eedris's vulnerability and the energy he speaks with about his realities, makes this interview one of the very best of The Honest Bunch!
Listening to him for only 15 minutes, i was able to figure out that he is peppering it with lies
First time am crying on any podcast.... Am touched when he is explaining how his wife gave him her kidney what a true love❤❤❤❤
😢😢I swear! I cried
Does it still exit?
We will stream the new jaga jaga more than the way the new Alist artist songs in Nigeria has been streamed..watch out ,your music will go wider and farther..mark this date ..remember me and remember my words ...your wife has a golden heart 💜❤️ we love her and we appreciate her ,if there's a way I would love to send her gifts ❤love and light eedris ❤
Talk of yourself only
Well said bro. I have been downloading his songs again. Legend 🔥🔥🔥
NEDU I LOVE WHAT YOU DOING!!!! THIS PLATFORM IS STRICTLY A SAFE PLACE FOR THE TRUTH.. GOOD JOB TO EVERYONE BTS
This is the type of revolutionary musicians we need in Nigeria this period, not nonsense people singing about women and yansh that helps nobody while the country is spoiling.
You are so right . We need great men in the industry not convoluted music stars destroying lives
I no get data but this interview is topnotch
Thank you Mrs Yetunde Ajenifuja for giving our great legend a 2nd chance.
Correction: All honor and glory belong to the living God 🙏🏽

💯
Fact 😢😢
I mean it. A big film maker should take his permision and shoot his story.
On point
Edris is a master storyteller...Gosh!
One question took about an hour to answer and it was super enthralling storytelling.
His story deserves a movie walai.
i am telling my brother, well explained.
Am listening no fit no hear every details
Rappers tend to tell good stories, it’s one of their many talents
💯
Nollywood will make it happen
Young Buck portrayed it exactly how he said it. Usually, the head of the needle pierces the cloth for the thread to pass. The thread doesn't know what the needle faced. You are a Legend, you are Eedrice Abdulkareem. This was so touching and inspiring. Thank you for making our childhood special. God bless! P.S how did you know about business at that age?
Idris said my mind when he was asked who he can collab with as at now, of course it Falz the bad guy.... Too love that guy too❤
I think, I can give you a reply to that; " ..........…...please how did you know business at that age or time?"
First, am 56 year old man so you don't feel I want to mislead you because, I also started a business at the age of 26 and today that business has trained a lot of people and I was successfully,I need you to know, I know much about the question you asked.
First,you must be spiritual.
Secondly, once God has created you for a purpose his will must come to pass even though you go through rough times, all those rough times is to train you. So, don't give up.
Thirdly, when you know the background you are coming from and you don't want to remain poor, you must be focused and keep investing your energy in what will bring prosperity to you in future.
Idris grew and went through alot.Touching... But every man is a Hero in his own story.
congratulations to The Honest Bunch, so much maturity and growth, allowing your guest to speak and not interrupting their train of thought. I think this is the best interview of Edris that there will be in a very long time. So enlightening, edifying and wholesome. God bless you Edris and may you continue to enjoy good health and long life.
Please make this a movie! Idris thanks for sharing your story very inspiring ❤
Eedris Abdulkareem is a complete experience of life itself...Mehn!!!!!Watched him live in kaduna Rothmas Groove tour 1999...Waoooo! Goose Bumbs
After watching this interview, it makes me wanna get closer to God more than ever. Thanks for sharing your story us and you just inspire a lot of people
I was just thinking about fasting twice every week and make it part of me
Yea,my brother, God first.
Honestly, just like most comments here,i have never watched any podcast that really captivated me amd got me so emotional at the same time. I couldn't believe i had sat for almost 2 hours listening to this man and i could have gone an extra two hours listening to his story.Bottom line is this, hate him or love him,if your woman can give her kidneys to you, then you must be an extraordinary person, regardless of what anybody says this man has a deep history and he is whatever he says he is.Wow this is indeed one hell of an episode. Thanks to the honest bunch for inviting Edris Abdulkareem the legend.
1:59:46 well spent. It's beautiful listening to Idris share his life experiences. Lots of morals, interesting podcast section, full of wisdom. If there was more of it, I would not mind watching it all..... Guy good abeg...
You can say that again
This is the first podcast I watched from the beginning to the end without skipping.
So captivating...
After watching it I downloaded it.
Walahi
Same here
Aswear down almost 2 hrs podcast! Me can neva! But this one is an exception.
This interview got me so crying I’m on my knees saying thank you 🙏🏽 thank you 🙏🏽 to idris wife
This is by far the best I’ve watched. Listened to Eedris Abdukareem growing and his evergreen hits and how the things he sang about are in higher dimensions and rocking the country now. Hearing his story and sacrifice by his wife, giving gratitude to those who impacted him. Respect Eedris
When my dad died I didn't cry but I just see my tears dropping down from my eyes while watching him talk , he remain a legend and will always be respected more thanks to his wife who me to see him again today ❤
😂 LAMBA
same here
Iro pa e😂😂😂😂
epele baba olooto, olokan lile@@theseniorchef
Idris is not a saint, he has his mistakes but I can bet with my life, Davido, WizKid or Burna can’t not dare to challenge Drake (50 cent of that time) today in that same situation. Let’s give him his flowers 💐, that story gave respect to Nigerian artist then.
Mumu talk
I can't believe I watched this podcast without skipping anything. This is one of the best Honest Bunch Podcast so far
Me too
Very touching story..what I even love is his switch of accent. And the facts that he can speak Hausa, Yoruba and Good English.
Facts
Idris is from Yoruba tribe, but he denied been a Yoruba even in his interview because of hard life her mom face when his dad died
Wow, wow, wow!!! No interview/ exposition like this. I couldn't contain my emotions when he spoke about his wife donated her kidney to him and the assurance that he should ‘relax himself, they will be fine’so I bless God for creating such a wonderful soul to live among us and may God continue to bless their marriage. My living legend may God continue to protect, guard and shield you against the works of your enemies but give you the courage to continue the good work
I am happy with this interaction in the comments about Karim’s story. I am very pleased after I read a fair number of comments that are free of the tribalism, disrespect, and insult that dominate most Nigerian social media. May almighty Allah protect and bless Nigeria.
Do not judge a book by its cover Edris is indeed a blessing to many . Remain blessed my Broda . This is the best podcast programme I ever watched .
According to him abi. How comes no one person agrees with his story?
Idris abdukareem story is very touching and emotional. He is a good man and God will continue to bless his wife, for given him one of her kidney.
God bless you for lending your voice to the common man Idris
Yetunde, is a very good girl and wife, we grew up together in Surulere. God bless you once again Yetunde.
The Edris generation' that made music with passion inspiration courage and integrity. First time to see Artiste appreciate God's revelations in his career.
So glad you mentioned pride sydrome in the character of the NEW Afrobeat Artistes. You deserve your rose remain blessed.
I tell you...his talking about God telling him this, telling him that... that's commendable
I have just been enlightened by Baba Eedris Abdulquareem. Standing for the truth surely takes nothing away from you. Many may indeed be remembered by the money they make, but certainly so much more will be remembered and honoured for impact they had and still having on peoples lives.
Big thumbs up to THE HONEST BUNCH for facilitating this interview.
I watch this episode and I began to cry....Thanks Nedu for this platform and thank you Idris for your spiritual background
I've been viewing this show like forever... Eedris force a comment from me for the first time hmmm ..... Respect

They knew he wasn't one to be fucked with....so, they all put on their best behaviour!!!😂😂😂
@@olanrewajuolufemi701 😂😂😅😅😅 na wa for you oh
Eedris calling the names of people straight up could only be done cause he has nothing to hide.
There are always two sides to a story but the one with facts and living witnesses is always stronger.
Big ups legend!!
This guy is a legend and a big star in his era, so everyone ranting is just passing the aggression of the beef they had with him long time ago.... long live edris Abdulkareem ❤ ❤
This story really brought tears on my eyes… love from Ghana 🇬🇭
Baba Eedris is sooooooo civil... such decent guy, contrary to what they painted to us when we were still kids... shout out to kennis music...
I cried listening to this especially when he went back to kano and said mama na 😢... This was sooo touching
Best I've ever watched on this channel, from Spirituality to perseverance. God bless Abdul Kareem. Learnt so much from this video.
This is the best I've ever watched on here God bless the legend.
Truly it isn't about the money, but the legendary legacy. This is so emotional. Most time we judge not knowing people's true stories. Eedris just opened my eyes. Dis guy don see things I swear. Indeed he's a legend
Eedris is very disciplined. I give him his flowers 💐 🎉❤
Saw this on FB ...truly inspiring...when I was coming up I saw Idris as a god of rap...it's great hearing the past behind story
Best interview I have watched from Nigeria, I cried. I got connected to him from today and will start to watch your show from now on. A1 candid interview.
I had a bad impression about idris all this years ,, but after watching the podcast , like am very sorry brother, your story is so toching and amazing,
U speak my mind...
First time in my life since I started using android phone I haven't stayed glued to video of an 1hr+ eedris you be King
I swear
When someone says something that's true or close to a True, they cite names, dates and time.
Watch again and tell me if he says somethings that looks like a lie. I'll wait.
God bless you ID, may God keep you to always stand for the truth !
Eedris, great man, great story, great outing.... Maximum Respect, Yo!
Edris Abdulkareem! Is this Best, Loyal & Confident!
Big up to You for Representing Kano born Yoruba Guys WELL!
I never knew idris went through all this .... Kudos . LEGEND❤
They are all saying Idris is ungrateful but he is always grateful to kennis music and keke here from beginning to the end. Who is actually ungrateful? Idris is a Legend. He didn't claim he started afro hip-hop. He recognized all those who inspired him in the north before coming to Lagos.
Such a indebt story, Glued to my phone for 2hrs non stop watching Eedris Abdulkareem share his life and music struggle.
Such a good story teller and bold persona.
NO DOUBT, THIS IS THE BEST RIGHT TO REPLY PODCAST
I never even bothered about my data while watching this podcast. Eedris is a spiritual person and that has led him to the right path. A true legend indeed. He made my adolescence while growing up.
After watching this podcast I played almost all the songs Edris mentioned. #respect
For the younger generation who may believe that people have never handled money, consider this: These individuals received a payment of 20 million in 1999, when the exchange rate was 21.89 naira to the dollar. This equates to approximately 914,848 USD when converted. It's a reminder to always remain humble in life; there's nothing that others haven't experienced before.
This is false, in 1999 1$ was 94 naira
It was 85 to a dollar when abacha died
@@ndianwanakak Thanks for the correction. Google with some incorrect info... However if u do the math still u will realise that these dudes were being paid over 300k usd which is massively huge compared to 2024
You actually believe they paid them 20m in '99? That's a fat lie bro...
Big fat lie.. no artist collects 1m in the 99s
Notice how the rest dont get to ask or add anything today. Today, they have a great guest and the topic is not yansh or one of those inanities. U see Husband material almost single handled anchored this, asking the right questions and steering the conversation in the wonderful direction it has went. Great guy Husband material. Well, kudos to the rest, they did us well by staying away today. Maybe some other time😅. Great guys though. We also need the laughter they bring some times. But not today. Today was so important.
Exactly and those girls are even more calm and don’t even understand some terms he was using😅 imagine not understanding what a conscious music is 😂 generation gone gone 😹
This is more like the most interesting and inspiring interview so far.
I no believe i watch this podcast finish, very inspiring God bless eedris abdulkareem we love you ❤
Words fail!! Adjectives are far fetched for me to qualify the Legendary Eedris Abdulkareem’s contribution to the Nigerian entertainment industry, you re indeed cynosure of integrity .This episode is an eye opener, thoughtful, thrilling and intriguing…Respect boss .. Now we have heard from the horses 🐎 mouth !!
God bless your wife MR ABDULKAREEM , May GOD KEEP YOU GUYS ALIVE..

All I will say is, God bless Mrs Yetunde Abdulkareem ❤❤❤❤
You made my childhood, The Remedies. God bless and keep you longer and in good health.
Don't judge a book by its cover,my eye watery watching Eedriz speak,
You can now know where He got it strength from.
Struggling as a man with the heart of a lion.
Keep it up big brother!!!!!!!
His spiritual awareness is what I pray for. Edris knows his maker.
Edris was made to look like he was a tout by the a lot of people in the media then. He is truly a legend
