personally a big fan of maximum crash, finishing touch, triple-r suit on overcharge iori, with a bonus 2-cost passive in impuritas. it gets very silly very fast.
On a similar note, I was able to get her with a Myo buffed Gebura supported by a (cursed) rabbit singleton gun squad. Funnily enough, you have enough 2 and 1 cost range pages + light regen to actually make it work. Probably a little slower, but a little more endurance and consistency, especially if you're not clashing.
the traditional firing squad definitely runs out of steam extremely quickly, and is mostly useless after the 3rd scene. Some random collection of ranged pages and light regen with a copy of Will of the Prescript is honestly probably fine.
Great guide, but I'd like to also suggest that Boris' exclusive page, Discipline, helps A LOT during this fight, specially during her Slash stance. Being able to nullify her massive power gain is pretty big.
Definitely in contention for best key page in the game. The flexibility of this page is insane, and the plain and simple +2 power it gives to every die is ridiculous. You're basically bringing 4 specialized nuggets in a single page, to put it into perspective. Anyways, my thoughts on the stances: Slash Stance: There is but one, pristinely clear objective with this deck. Fucking obliterate them. This is good for executing enemies / bosses. The sustain is... questionable, but hey you can always switch to other decks. This stance and its decks will likely not lose any clashes, but it isn't built to last either. Blunt Stance: Emma + Puppet = 4 extra power to blunt die, isn't that wonderful? Yeah, your main goal really is to just beat them to death. The effect is just a nice bonus in all honesty. This stance and its decks are a mix between having the clashing power of slash and the sustainability of pierce. Pierce Deck: You'd *want* to lean in on the effect of the double ailment, but you just end up treating it as a nice bonus like the Blunt deck. You could be doing millions of debuffs, but you can also make the world's most consistent Singleton deck. This stance and its decks are the most consistent of the offensive decks, but it's not as flashy as it could be if you build it to *be* consistent. Block Stance: This is the best stance. No, seriously. Defensive decks at this point of the game are INCREDIBLY consistent, even more so than pierce. Bi An and Sturdy Defense are extremely strong page drawers, Smoking Pipe clashes similarly to a 3 die page with enough defense bonuses, and Endurance pages will just up the clashing power even more. You will not lose clashes with this stance, and if you do, you take minimal damage anyways. Oh, and Stagger Resist comes back at a snap of your fingers with a good Evade die. This isn't even *talking* about this deck giving you the best effect of the 4. Immunity to statuses, including Immobilization. This is an amazing pick to counter Xiao if you haven't beaten her already, as the burn will be easily shrugged off. To add onto that, an Overcharge deck will fodderize most of her pages in power null as its base rolls are *insane.* Hell, if you still use Roland's floor, Blizzard synergizes with this deck EXTREMELY well, since you can essentially just have 1 extra person ganking the poor fellas. You can go both brain dead offense or insane tank with Block Stance. It's the best in sustainability, survivability, and clash wins out of every stance. Only problem is the lack of damage, but you always have Hokma's floor or the Overcharge deck!
I'm personally more of a fan of the top tier Impurity page if only for the exclusive page, but without that, I'd say that PT is the strongest keypage. Slash definitely has the best clashes, since you can get +5 power just from the passives. Stacking the combat start slash power boosters as well can give up to +13 power at emo 4 and 5 which is quite strong. Blunt is honestly my least favourite stance despite me talking up blunt pages for the last few months. Unfortunately, the puppets pages are starting to fall off. I used this deck as a recovery deck if you run low on light. Pierce is solid because there are a ton of solid pierce cards now, thanks in part to the Purple Tear reception. The status defect strategy is nice in theory, but when building my deck, I just didn't have room for mediocre cards just because they inflicted a bit of bleed. Guard stance does have the split playstyle which makes it the most versatile deck (and also the most powerful). The deck as intended has very good clashing with Serpentine Barier, Bi An, Iron Wall, etc. with Smoking Pipe for light regen as defensive pages have higher roll averages than offensive pages. With Overcharge cheese, it has good clashing and insane damage. Having multiple block counter dice also lets the user delude themself that they're utilizing the +2 defensive dice power effectively as well.
I'm having to grind out the bosses (Struggling deeply) this was the last one I tried and the first one I beat. The only reason I had to is because Gebura Realization is a lot of words none of which RUclips will allow me to comment.
Feint has even stronger rolls so it's probably better, although it's a general reception page so the player might not have it if they don't know where to find it.
i just like cheesing this fight with binah’s floor and firing squad. definitely the easiest of the SotC end boss trio and her keypage is incredibly good
PT gains 1 power boost to whatever stance she changes to. Like 1 power to slash when entering slash stance also it works with key page so you can probably make a deck out of this. It's like spend 1 light for 1 power every two scenes. Generic abno cards that guests receive are especially annoying in this fight. Also her 50% buffs are kinda underwhelming when smoke exists but 2 power is 2 power. Here my experience with PT. She was one of the three receptions(Yan, Xioa and PT) where I got stuck and all other receptions where already beaten. It took me sometime to kill her but after that I scratched that team. And then I forgot that I didnt get all pages and her key pages so I needed more tries to beat her because I forgot what I was using first time. She was reception that teached me that resistences are important and now I constantly think about them and I think a lack of gimmick did that weird how it works. Hmmm the other reception of another color fixer also teached me the importance of resistences what a coincidence. Overcharge with PT guard stance fells very unintentional to me it stupidly strong rolls with the most charge gain in the entire game while also breaking big rule of gain charge page - every gain charge supposed to be defensive or have very big downside. I myself is very... idk purist kinda person? I very rarely abuse mechanics of the games and generaly try to stay to the intent of creators. I even never used myongest (Kali with grace of prescript passive forever) even if its very intentional if it wasnt myo prowess would cap at 3 or 2. Im getting sidetracked what I mean it might be just me. Serpent sword technique is good in my opinion. Rolls barely matter if you can have it on Kim with dark blade passive the most important part if you have that much power is the ammount of slash being played so its kinda like steel knuckles in that regard. Also its extremly economic with 1 draw and 1 light cost.
I implied the power boost in her passives but I could have been more explicit. I agree that her slash and blunt bonuses feel kind of lame, especially in the face of smoke, but she's still strong without them so whatever. The fight itself is a deckbuilding check as there isn't any gimmick, just can you deal enough damage to kill her before she kills you, and resistances do come into play here. I typically mostly ignore resistances in favour of pure clashing power, but it's still pretty important to be aware of them. Overcharge guard stance is most likely unintentional, but when it was found out, they figured that they didn't want to change it or else they'd face backlash. Serpent Sword Technique is playable on pt slash because of the power boosts, rather than the page being playable on its own. Compared to To overcome Crisis, it costs 1 more light for the 2-4 slash on 2, and that's not even accounting for the potential upside that ToC has to restore light. In a vacuum the page is on the level of a urban nightmare card.
@@AilithNix @Ailith Nix I agree with paragraphs 1,2,3. I mean Overcome crisis is a good card that I used in SotC. Quite a lot of cards and key pages that are in earlier chapters can be used so I don't pay attention to such categories. And I didn't talk about SST in a vacuum because yes it sucks without power boosters a lot. But in context of minimum 3 slash power 2-4 becomes 5-7 which is decent for a 1 cost 1 draw. Honestly if I would make a slash deck I would most likely use both of them.
For me, the clashes just aren't good enough to justify running because it doesn't restore light. I tend to value pages that have the main purpose to draw cards quite low, as compared to pages that have the main purpose to restore light which I tend to rate highly. Running SST in a deck means I'd need to run light regen pages as well, further reducing the number of strong clashing pages I'd be able to run. Overall, I'd rather just run WotC so I can jam more 2 and 3 costs into my deck I think. Even if the clashing was slightly worse on 1, the 2 will always be stronger and it'll restore 3 light for a cost of 1 more initial light put in.
@@AilithNix hmmm never considered WotC... I guess you're right it's just better. Although that 1 more cost input still bothers me but that deck dependent. There also an edge case where resperation(passive from Tenma"restore another light at the start of the scene if you had 0 in previous scene") doesnt activate with WotC but like thats a bottom of the barrel kinda argument. I even have to tell what it does because I never seen anyone use it. I'm just a little obsessed with that passive for some reason. But tbh I dont get that you value pages that main value is light. Like I get that SST is weaker than WotC because clashing is only slightly worse while also restoring light but light and draw are diffrent things that dont interact and you need both.
I dont know how but I beat her first try with just binahs floor. All I did was use binahs floor (with some pretty bad decks) then she swapped to malkuths floor (which got wiped out in a matter of 3 scenes 😭) then back to binahs floor which barely beat her
you can reasonably just randomly beat her if she rolls low consistently, but Binah's also a powerhouse and maybe your deck construction is better than you think~
as much as i hate it, i have to use the firing squad method on most of the mid/late game receptions since i don't have the right cards or patience to actually beat them properly. it sucks, but oh well as long as it gets me through the game i guess
Basically, the PT guard stance removes all status ailments, including immobilize. The only thing holding the page back is that immobilize so getting rid of it makes it very strong
Okay so for this reception i REALLY don't like how Dimension Walker is worded. I also saved this one for last, but I did that cause I thought the random floor she warps to counts as your second floor. It didn't help that she absolutely trounced me when I tried to fight her after first unlocking the fight. So I thought I had to beat a super hard boss with one chosen floor and one random floor with nothing else... Imagine my surprise when I come back to it and get past the dimension walker phase, and realize I still had one floor extra to use. 😅 I got some pretty good use out of Duel tbh. It doesn't tend to do that much damage, but its very good at winning clashes which can be more important in some spots. The Overcharge deck is pretty funny. I also used it a lot, though the huge roll ranges really screwed me over sometimes so it didn't always make it on to my A-Team. On harder fights (eg; most of the remaining receptions) where the early turns matter a lot, I also found myself resetting until Purple Tear started in guard stance or, if I had Yan on the floor, until Yan had the light regen prescript. Not getting to start with Overload+Leap/Conversion can lead to a rough turn 2 and a rough turn 2 can lead to a rough turn 3....
Honestly, I wish that it did use up one of your floors, 'cause then it'd feel like a meaningful mechanic, rather than just a damage gate for the main floor. Duel, like most defensive focused pages, are great at winning clashes at the cost of doing damage. I'm personally not a fan because I want to deal damage all the time, but it's definitely a strong page.
