Just a trick my grandpa taught me hold the brakes give it just a bit of throttle and hold the throttle still and use the brake pedal to allow it to move forward by giving it more or less brake to control it. It will stop the lunging and rolling back when trying to move slow up a ramp
I have a 2020 Charger Scat Widebody and i love my 67"XT one piece 14" wide Race Ramps!!! Best ramps out there.. So easy to get my Widebody up and down. Low profile so no worry about scraping at all. I paid $295 brand new in the box. Worth every penny if you work on your own car.
Man, that is a great deal. I believe these were $387. Couldn't find a better price. This is the 67" XT just like what you have. Love the F8 Green my friend!
@@DadsGarageDIY Thanks my friend..Like watching your channel. I'm 54 so i can relate to most of your content. I bought the Race Ramps on Ebay new in box about 10 months ago before prices on everythin went up.
Your rubber/plastic air dams in front of the tires were still dragging. That is the problem I have on my car (not as low as yours), using Rhino ramps and lead-in 2x12 boards. The front cleared by using the 2x12, but not that plastic piece. Was ok on the way up, but caught on the way down. With the longer length of those Race Ramps, it is more difficult to line them up. I would use a tape measure to set the center-center spacing the same as the front tires.
I use ramps alone but using jack stands is definitely that smarter thing to do. I should use and would recommend. You can never be too safe. If you have a failure game over and you only get one try at the "game". Great question! Look forward to our next conversation.
Thanks so much B-Money. Really appreciate that. Hope you will also subscribe my new all cars channel. www.youtube.com/@DadsCars/videos Really appreciate you!
Despite the stated weight bearing difference, I have seen those plastic ramps break (luckily no one under the vehicle), but my Race Ramps after dozens of uses still almost look brand new and never seen or heard cracking from them.
You know you’re not getting professional service when you ask the attendant what oil they use and he tells you Vaseline. Yep that happened. Thank you sir for your video. New subscriber
I have race ramps as well for my Scat narrow body with the 275's and the work perfectly. Though like you, they aren't easy to drive up onto because of the length. I'm constantly getting in and out of the car to make sure I'm going straight up them.
Not sure the width on your tired but Once of the big issues I had with 305s was getting a ramp that the tire didn't hang over. Raceramps is one of the few that make a ram wide enough for wider tires. They are pricy though.
Thanks so much for the kind words. Man, I love Smoke Show. I do so many different things. If you are looking for specifically Scat Pack stuff if you go to my playlists I have one for just Scat Packs. Hope that's helpful.
Thanks Vinny. That one is long gone. But, I'll let you check out the videos to see what I've had since then. But I'll give you a hint. Another Scat and 3 Vettes. I look forward to hearing back from you on some of the others.

I was a nervous wreck when u we’re going up but a great buy to do your own oil changes. I like the idea of also going to dealerships at times so they can top off everything and just check. But u will definitely save some good money- especially at every 3500 miles u change yours! 👏👍👊
Do your own oil changes and under car checks, don't let anyone do them for you. I know someone who last week had there oil changed at a reputable place and they forgot to tighten the oil plug now his car needs a new engine. Fortunately they had cameras in the shop and were able to confirm the incident and are covering all the cost.
@@dougwatson6406 wow- that was a close one! In reading your comment, I did a foolish thing like blowing my engine to my Pontiac Trans Am/ Firebird ( I forgot exactly) that my Dad painted black and had eagle on it and I didn’t change oil and ruined engine. My poor dad... what a fool I was in HS! The only adult scary incident for me was when my donut was replaced with a new tire, it was not until a few years later that I had a flat and when I went to get the spare, it was not there! They never put it back! I had to wait for road side assistance and had to buy me a spare. So angry!
Yeah. I do change it every 3500. The dealer said 7k but....not on my car. LOL. The Tundra is supposed to be 10k and I do it at 5k. Maybe overkill but I don't care. lol. I was nervous driving up it too. If something happens there is going to be a lot of damage to the car. Hurts me to think about.
Dang. That would be bad. I know where we get our fleet serviced we have mysteriously had several cross threaded drain plugs. The one thing I dislike the most is you really don't know what oil they are putting in your car. They may tell you one thing but you really don't know.
Curious as to what you thought they weighed. As I said in the short I was so curious because I was hearing numbers all over the place. I just had to know.
A very nice review Dad's Garage, I ordered these same ramps and I expect them to be delivered today. This will raise my '12 Chrysler 200 Touring convertible up a lot higher than the two 2x8's stacked with bevels on the drive up end that I was using.

Yes worth the money and I have had a set for 7 years and still going strong. Light weight and easy to store.
I completely agree Doug. I have only had mine for a few weeks. But, love the weight and the quality. Thanks so much sir. I really appreciate it!

Do you think you get all the oil out because the car is angled up in the front? Perfect if the drain plug is at the rear.
Agreed.
It needs a test on a Red C7 Corvette Soon!
And they will get one on a red Corvette very soon!
@@DadsGarageDIY - a new Dads garage video coming soon!
For sure!
I would definitely put chock block at rear wheel for safety.
Not bad advice at all. Thanks Tanor. Much appreciated!
I was fortunate that when I bought my Race Ramps 10 years ago, they had a mail-in offer for free wheel chocks.
How much is those ramps!
They are about $350.
About $400 oil change package? These are a GREAT buy
I think they are very expensive and over priced. But, I guess it depends how much you would use them as to if they are worth it or not.
Just seen your C8 here in Decatur Illinois
I might have to get a pair! These look pretty solid! Thanks!!
Pricy but with it.
Definitely want to make sure they hold the weight or that could be bad. Ahhh. Yes. Jack stands. I definitely would.
Yeah. I was a little nervous with a 4400 pound car on ramps that say 3000 combined. Would suck to attempt an oil change and I become an oil spot. ☹️
Would this work in reverse? For the rear?
Haven't tried it but I would be it will. The front is much lower so I think you would be good to go.
Whats up man, really like your videos! Were did you purchase this ramps? Can you give me the link? Were they on amazon?
