There's a specific diet to follow like SCD while doing the treatment( in my case I'm just eating chopped cloves of garlic to reduce the bacteria), or can I eat pretty much everything?
Other than a Lactulose, Glucose or Sucrose Breath Test, would a Mannitol test for SIBO be worth a go? Would a Urine Mannitol Test or a Mannitol Breath Test be better for giving s more information on SIBO? What do you think?
I start with lactulose and tack on fructose as a great add-on if needed. I will rarely order a glucose as it tends to miss SIBO but have seen it pick it up maybe once or twice when lactulose missed it so there is always the slight chance there. Urine lactulose mannitol testing can be a helpful insight for leaky gut which is commonly present with SIBO cases.
@@ByronHerbalist Thank you so much for your time and for your response. This makes sense to me. Have a great day. I am in Sydney so it looks like I may be contacting you soon
It is hard for me to get to a testing site and even if I go they only do the hydrogen lactulose test. I may try to get the TrioSmart test but wondering if I buy the Foodmarble 2 if I could use it to infer whether I have SIBO?
@reinadelmar11 I had to beg to get my test results. It took them almost 3 weeks to get the results. How can the the breath test be accurate if they let if sit that long???
@@tier1solutions28 Yeah that's crazy!! What was the outcome? If I have any thing, it's gotta be methane SIBO but I also have an active h.pylori infection, but then again so does half the world. It is supposedly the non virile variety but all I know is that my digestion and oral health have been seriously messed up for almost 4 years now. It's unbelievable. I am usually really good at figuring things out and fixing them on my own.

How can you tell the difference between sibo or other GI issues such as Colon Cancer,Chrons,Ulcerative Colitis, Celiac Disease, or IBS?
Functional testing and a keen eye for interpretation. Unfortunately you can have more than one condition. Many of my IBD patients also have SIBO too…
Hi I know this is off-topic from the methane sibo ?
But what recording software do you use to screen record you videos they look really nice?
Thanks.
Thanks 👍

How to detect methene dominant sibo if breath test is not available in some labs
That tricky. Breath testing is the go. Symptoms can lead you down the wrong track occasionally.
