Wird wahrscheinlich untergehen aber macht ja auch nichts:
Vor zweieinhalb Jahren saß ich mit einem Mädchen, welches ich damals über alles liebte, am Ufer eines Flusses. Wir saßen dort für gefühlt viel zu kurz, aber wir redeten viel, lachten viel und hatten auch viel Spaß. Jedoch erst als sie mir dieses Lied zeigte lehnten wir uns nach hinten und lagen dort einfach nebeneinander und genossen die Zeit, die Musik, den Augenblick. Wir schauten uns in die Augen, lange, jedoch traute ich mich damals nicht sie zu küssen. Sie lebt heute in einer anderen Stadt und ich habe kaum Kontakt mehr zu ihr, aber immer wenn ich dieses Lied höre, erlebe ich aufs neue einen der schönsten und friedlichsten Augenblicke meines Lebens. Dieses Lied wird immer einen Platz in meinem Herzen haben, danke dafür!

So I lived in Germany in 2017 and I heard this song and I absolutely fell in love with it. But as hard as tried when I lived there I couldn't find this song. This took me back to another place. I am so thankful I found this song, and it has such a profound feel that brings me back to exploring Germany and the rest of Europe and learning so much about myself as a person and the world around me. First, thank you so much! This is the best one I've seen. One suggestion is maybe changing the use of "indifferent". Does he mean he doesn't care or he doesn't know? Either of those would make more sense because the word "indifferent" is hardly used in that context.

Ich finde das Lied und wie es vorgetragen wird sehr wertvoll. Ich kann mir auch vorstellen, warum es in alkoholosierten Kreisen gut ankommt. Dann platzt aus uns heraus, was sonst gedeckelt wird. Because of the fact that Pocahontas is such a glorified figure, it could also perhaps reference to the fact that the other person in the relationship is maybe glorifying her unstable lifestyle and her way of leaving important people in her life behind. Which is why the singer is referring to her like that, criticizing her in some way, because her behavior hurt him too. (Du gibst mir den Rest= you finish me off) But that’s just a theory.
