This week, we’re digging into a jazz standard that sits at an unlikely crossroads . . . between jazz and sports! That’s right, this is The Harlem Globetrotters theme song - and so much more - Sweet Georgia Brown. This one has some interesting harmonic qualities, as well as some rhythmic elements that are worth looking at. Also, it’s a song that is known widely both in popular culture and in jazz circles, so there are some artistic choices to be made. As usual, I’m playing the line on Double Bass here, but this is a great one to play on Bass Guitar too! Try playing this version - the music is on screen in both notation and tablature!
