This is the best navy boot camp experience video I’ve ever watched. You are the only one that explained the days, because I really thought P day would still count towards the 10 weeks.
@@stephancunningham3072 man thank you so much
Boot camp is cake. But if you can swim , run and do pushups then your going to cruise through it. I graduated 23JAN06 so if u got question I can answer them to the best of my ability
@716Gucci904 Do they take an initial assessment? Is that just to see where you’re at or do you need to pass given standards to move forward?
@@alobaez-dv9ylonce you get to Great Lakes, you will eventually take a pacer test
Still answering questions
May I please ask you? Do we have to swim backwards? I don’t understand.
My recruiter told me i would do the swim once?
Absolutely. Best advice is to do what they say.
Facts
Easy-peasy. Shut up, pay attention and follow directions given to you.
Waitin to go to MEPS..excited honestly..ik it’ll be challenging but I’m excited 😂
@@caramelguapo4865 very challenging, but it’ll be worth it good luck
Can’t run? lol it blows my mind how people don’t prepare for basic training lol
Thank you!! I’m shipping out the 22nd and I’m super nervous 😅
I’m going meps this week I had to lose some belly fat and can’t wait for basic I know I’ll pass meps and basic I have positive mindset
Don’t be
That’s great 😎
I’m leaving April 25th I’m so excited but also nervous
@@butchplayz cya there
I'm terrified. I used to be in shape and then I lost shape and now I'm going in the navy. Afraid I'll feint from stress. How do I avoid that?
Hey, my best advice would be to relax…
No point in worrying yourself, start running doing push-ups, and planks. You’ll be ok
I sadly only make it to 1-2 left my division in 3-1 due to a shoulder injury during swim then after with my division making it worse so i had to go through separations and you are not wrong separations was kind of mid i was in separations due to my shoulder i will be going back in to the navy in about 5 months once my shoulder heals but he's not wrong its like prison all you do is read watch movies and sleep not to mention when you go to chow you walk all the way across base to eat which is about a mile each way to go home from separations usually takes about three to four weeks and it doesn't help when people are making up excuses to leave especially if you go in during the summer because of the highschoolers who think they can do it then have a panic attack in P-1 tbh i cant wait to go back and apply the things you are saying
so basically, have common scense and basic physical fitness. okay.
And again, why is all the training being done indoors? Hell, Bootcamp used to be in Rhode Island on an actual ship sitting in the water.
Because I can swim on top. I’ve never learn on my back. I don’t know how to swim on my back 😫😫😫😫😫
Great advice I'm in the process of getting ready to take my asvab so I got a sec before all this appricate it
Thanks for the advice very resourceful
@@mauriceochol thank you bro
Thanks Bro! i appreciate the information
@@BrianSims-h3h ofc
Since I was young I had health problem but I know if I could have join the military I would have given it 100 percent anything else would be a disgrace to the uniform and the military and that is not excepted
Do you have to know have to swim on your back?
Thanks for the video bro.
No problem
Im 24 and having hard time in push up. 20 is my max right now :((( but im good in swimming and i can do planks 2:30
@@whatthetruck777 well do do 10 push ups every 30 minutes every day
Boot was crazy bro
To crazy dawg 😂 good times
What was going on I ship out soon 😂
@@camareonsmith4521 all Ima say is you gotta experience it yourself, it’s gonna be some times where you hate it and when u like this kinda fun
How long is boot camp and a school combined with no hiccups?
3 and a half months
Really depends on what your rate is it varies
How many laps you have to do on the track ik it’s small I ship out September 5
12 laps brodie
I ship September 5 too bro
Advice is great bro I leave Nov 9
No problem do your best man
I’m a female, but I can’t do push ups. I ship in a month and been lifting and trying. I can go down but can’t push myself up lol can I get sent back for that as well?
Pushups only matter for the OPFA and your practice OPFA but when you do those tests your partner can lie for you just don’t go down early because u have minutes to do as many as u can or required . Also your age changes the requirements the younger you are the more u have to do. But if u struggle now then trust me you’ll get some “motivation.” You’ll be fine how many can you do and how old are you? If you don’t mind me asking
@@Hot.head.eli904 I’m 26, 5’7 & weigh around 152. I was told by my recruiter to be able to do 15 for my age. I weigh 152 but use to weigh 132 during highschool & alil after, probably cause I played softball & basketball & stopped being active after I graduated. I’m thinking getting back to that weight might make it easier for me to lift my own weight. I can only do 1 push up right now but just a few weeks ago I was doing 0. I leave beginning of may so I still have alil time.
@@blackpinkblinkfam7197I have the contradictory issue but with SWIMMING. I can’t remain afloat maybe for a few seconds and If I try to swim it was to be under water cause I don’t know to swim in the surface like how’d others swim casually and I am 27 years old. I can do 20 push-ups not sure how I will do about other exercises they gonna make you do.
Girl did you make it through? And how!? I’m about to go and I have the same issue
I ship out on the 19th that’s Sunday 😅
Aye my man did you happen to be in Ship 9 that time?

@@SoOrdinary1 Fr bro I've already cut tho.
@@SoOrdinary1 I'm feeling a bit well, but I need to just remember my orders of the sentry, I've got them mostly all down but in my own thermology yk.
Idk if you can fail the push-ups but do well on the planks and run to still pass? (Question btw)
I’m going in a couple hours and I don’t know how to swim and my running is shit💀
