This UI24r makes me think incredibly that you don't necessarily need effect pad as a guitarist if you can do this directly in the mixer. It's a beast for me.
Good exercise in seeing what the built-in amp sim is capable of. In the end we decided we're better off using pedals or computer based amp-sims normally but knowing there is a usable marshall sound in there is good to have in your back pocket if something happens to amp or amp-sim during a show.
Great stuff! I gave it a quick try but I was listening through cheap headphones so I was not impressed. After this video, I really must try again through descent monitoring.
I think all depends in the right choice of head and cab, only few sound usable, been traying all combinations posible and find this one the best to my ears
Nice video! I love my Ui24r but for guitars I prefer to use external effects and good old DI boxes. Built in EQ May be handy but if you ask me I consider amp emulations extra lifeboats just in case something goes wrong with a pedal board. But as a plan B option it works good enough. Thanks for video!
O the scoopers. Great way to take your guitar sound right out of the mix. I get it, its sounds great alone. But when one gets on a stage, they can never get loud enough to hear themselves and the bass has no where to sit. Mids. Guitars live and breathe in the mids.
That’s probably a victim of the global supply issue. There are IC chips and other stuff just aren’t available. Car manufacturers are selling cars which need to be retrofitted with certain electronic modules, and I know an aircraft manufacturer that are using second hand components because they have no choice. It’s not a Soundcraft problem.
I've read all the Ui24R threads on facebook and other forums and the consensus is that it's actually high gain settings on inputs that can damage the input board rather than heat levels inside the unit. Still people are using additional cooling - small fan blowing on the side of the unit or drawing air out of an enclosure is all your need.
I was just wondering this. Doubtful but what you could do is have a couple a/b pedals that feed different channels on the mixer. a/b pedals should be really cheap and 2 will let you get 4 different signal paths.
you can create multiple "shows". for each show have a setlist consisting of "snapshots" which contain the actual sounds and mixing of each song. OR you just create a preset for the amp modeller.
You have to send them there seperately. The Effect Faders in the Amp Menu are just the Effect send faders of the guitar Channels. You still have to push the effect return to the aux send :)
These sounds are not very impressive especially the clean sounds maybe the distortion are a little better but for a country music guitarist the so called fender clean sounds in the mixer are lacking very much so.

freakin awesome guitar playing too! haters can go and ... modelling came to an age, but i still love my marshall

Great tone and playing! This may have sealed the deal for me on this mixer..
Listen to axe fx the deal won't be sealed anymore
I would really like to listen to the other amp models as well. Cool video!

Thanks for the video share I was really curious how the onboard DigiTech amp sims sounded on this mixer.
Man, that sounds really good.

thanks for the review
Awesome loving it
My UI 24 fried during a big gig 20 plus bands. It’s been at Soundcraft since Aug. no parts. Might never get it back and no refund. 5 months old

Great demo Amigo, this is crazy machine
How do you switch between clean and overdrive?
Very very cool
Super cool amigo !!
Hola amigo! Estoy buscando info sobre la misma duda... Alguna novedad 3 años más tarde? jaja Gracias
The tone is good but is there a way to switc between presets in a live show ?

Well you could set up snapshots to be switch by a foot switch but it only goes one way so having more than say 3 patches would be silly

Is it possible to get the speaker sound only? Without the digital amp
Would be great to have this feature, as well as the ability to load IR files
Hi! Great video bro! Is there a way to switch between guitar presets with a pedal? Thanks
X2
very nice
Se puede utilizar para un bajo tambien?
Is there a way to control the effects on an off without having to go through snapshots of the entire mix? Possibly via midi somehow?
Yes, via Midi Controller and extra Programm UIMidiMixer
buono video.
Awesome loving it
Great, but the effects don't reach the aux output, what could have wrong?
You have to send them there seperately. The Effect Faders in the Amp Menu are just the Effect send faders of the guitar Channels. You still have to push the effect return to the aux send :)

Hola .

fist look Very Good
" The Guitar has been plug direct into CH1 using a standard 1/4 cable"

thank you very much and congratulations on the video.
existe amp para bajo en al ui24r
You use direct box?
For first two channels no DI is needed. They are equipped with HI Z option and that means you can plug your guitar directly.

The measure of a sound system is its cleans.
Always sounds like crap to me
