- Welcome to a quick guide on how to Icarus Dash skate in Destiny 2 for the Warlock class. In this video I will break it all down into steps and go in depth on how to time and use your dash. Man, im out here well and shatter skating, but i could never figure out what people were doing to keep the momentum from the icarus dash. Did not realize i needed to glide before it as well. Great vid, thanks for the info.

If you want to do a more advanced version use eager edge to extend the distance you move and then heat rises to keep more airtime allowing for a chain of icarus skates with more distance

It’s a fantastic movement to use in both PVE and PVP helps with being able to survive longer. I often think people overlook how useful it can be in PVE.

I don't get that double jump mechanic. If I press "jump jump" I fly straight to the sky. I have to tap it 3 times to cancel the boost.
Yeah I think I messed up a little I think in explaining the jumps and just focused on the Icarus Dash part.
I made a newer video which goes more in depth on all the jumps and Icarus dash skating at the end. It’s newer and a lot more thorough.

Well you need to know how to time the jumps for the dash to work so…… 🤷♂️ Not everyone is experienced with the Warlock jump so I try to explain in detail how to do everything. It also is a (For Beginners) guide.

its just normal icarus dashing where is the skate ? people who know what skating rly does and how far it sends u will know this is just burstglide + icarus thats no skate a fake skate would be eager + fast double tap glide + icarus but normal double tap glide + icarus i never heard someone call it a skate so dont confuse people its normal jump + icarus there is no skate in this combo
@@marcrieger5640 People have literally been calling it Skating since D1 dude. Theres multiple types for the Warlock. Bunny hop skating like the video combined with the Icarus dash. You also have eager edge skating and well skating. Just like Titan skating has always been called Titan skating since D1. Plus it’s a beginners guide to get people used to the basic movement tech for a warlock.

@@BigDyllanGaming never heard someone calling normal glide icarus dash a skate not even a fake skate but ok if u know it from d1 stay with it but for me skate comes from things like wellskate and also on titan its known under titan flying not skating because they dont boost their movement so hard but maybe people call if what ever they want but for me it is confusing and i thought before someone else gets confused too i call it out from my perspective

@@marcrieger5640 It mainly started from D1. As Titan Skating was HUGE back on that game. So people just sort of went with it for everything else at the time. I know a few people even said it for Hunter with the Bones of EAO exotic boots and just spamming jump under a low ceiling and you’d bound up and down really fast. I just stuck with calling it skating as it’s what I’ve always known it as from D1.
