Great video!! Thank you. Short and sweet and to the point. I was waiting patiently for the DDJ1000 and was very disappointed that I was not able to use Serato DJ Pro. This will be my next controller.
Great tutorials thanks. Is this something my son could use? He's a beginner. What would I need to go with it? I have a decent hifi but that's basically it. Cheers
watched the video. friend of mine has the ddjsx2 - so i know how it feels, wanted to buy one like that as well, now i will buy this one covered in this video. Thanks for the nice and simple showcase :)
What about the sound quality ? Better , worse or the same as the SX2 ? I'm hopping for something better at the MK3 version of their DDJ-SX . something that prehaps could be comparet to the SZ1 ?
Tlm what up bro, for me I like the upgrades, the dual usb is great much needed but the platters I don’t like what would have made it for me as an all round controller would be the platters from the DDJ 1000 minus the screen in the middle, for me that’s not needed the cdj style would be ok for the center of the jog,But other than that it’s 😎
Hi, if this controller has the cue split switch to separate the preloaded track in the headphones on the left side and the master on the right side? Thanks in advance for your reply.
DJ TLM TV yes well when I got it I did it like i would normally do assuming it would be exactly the same as the sx2 and sx1 before but if Serato could make a update to help that would be good otherwise with all the new added features it is a great controller I still like my full backspin tho
Hello djTLMtv how are you. I started DJ about one year ago with a numark pro 3. I would like to upgrade and get turntables to be able to feel the music through my hands, scratch in good conditions to discover other styles like rap, hip hop that I don't practice that much... I planned to buy the new Pioneer Sx3 to get a new 4 voice channel controller and then buy 1 or 2 additional turntables ? Would you suggest that kind of combination ( controller + turntable : 1 or 2 ? ) what kind of entry turntables ? Reloop RP 2000 MK2 ? or would you go for different setup (mixer+turntables) (2 voice channel then and less creativity ( I would like to be in advance on my mixes, add acapellas, samples, and get tracks ready as well... with 2 I feel it would be hard to do all those tasks ) ( 1500$ max for everything would be nice ) thx
Is the Numark NS6II the same or better then the DDJ SX3. Also is it possible you can do a review on the Numark NS6 II...? That would be awsome. Thxs again...!!!!
I don’t have it so I can’t review it. But now that you know what the SX3 can do, you can check the Numark website to see what the NS6II can do. Once you know that you can decide which is better for you
ClectaSkiMusic Dont do it bro,go with the ns7iii,or a reloop controler Pioneer series controllers arent that great in my opinion when runnin serato.I think pioneers best products are their CD sereies.Just my opinion though.
Funny you said that, just picked up a SX2 with new discounted pricing. The SX2 is still one of the very few controllers out there that is compatible with all the major DJ Software (ie, Serato Pro, Rekordbox, Traktor, and Algoriddim Djay Pro 2). I found it very interesting that the new SX3 is not compatible with Rekordbox.
I play with SX during my mobile gigs and with 1000 in a local club. Controller by controller I really enjoy more the CDJ feel of 1000. However, two details of Rekordbox keep me away to switch to the 1000 for my mobile gigs: 1- You can’t sort songs in Camelot Wheel order 2- It’s necessary buy video license of Rekordbox in order to play the audio of MP4 files. Right now, for my needs, SX3 looks more viable.
Another cheeky 'New' Product from Serato, lol. I think the fact that it's limited to Serato DJ Pro is going to be one of those things that kills sales for this product IMO.
sorry dj tlm......my wifi was screwed up so i watched it a little bit late.................thanks for the review................but i have a question...........i am just starting out so should i first go for the pioneer dj ddj sb2 or should i skip to this one
Q1: when you make music and mix them all together. How do you play it for the person in the booth to hear? Q2: when your done making a song. What’s the best way to keep it? On computer or record it onto a cassette tape? Extra question but what equipment do you recommend to fully make a song? What keyboard? What kind of mixer? What microphone? Thank you!
Have a reliable PC that you only use for DJing and you don't have to worry about that. I mean fresh install of Windows 10, no gaming on it, no porn watching, nothing. All you do is transfer songs over to it via your home network or a USB drive. Windows 10 is stable until you start installing shit.
I don’t call it minor. I understand it’s not a total overhaul, but they won’t do that. The things that were added (dual usb, color fx for all channels, the third mic input) are valuable features for a good amount of Serato/SX users (especially mobile DJs). If switching to Rekordbox is an option you will have access to something different, like the DDJ-1000
Great video!! Thank you. Short and sweet and to the point. I was waiting patiently for the DDJ1000 and was very disappointed that I was not able to use Serato DJ Pro. This will be my next controller.
Can’t wait to try this
Thanks for this review TLM
👍🏽
Amazing like ever @DjTLM
Thanks!
Great update video on the SX3 ☑️

playing catchup with the mc7000

Dope review TLM
Great video! I'm looking at buying a used DDJ-SX3. I'm a beginner and want something that I won't out grow for some time ✌️
The SX3 (or a DDJ-1000) would be great choices👍🏾
@@djTLMtv picking up my SX3 tonight 😁🙏
My best DJ controller ddj-sx3 2022 have a great new year.
👍🏾👍🏾
@@djTLMtv Lol. I was talking all that and then the REV 7 Drop. New year new controller. I have to get one. Have a great new year
2022.
Thanks for the review. Much luv
hey would love to see a comparison video on the DDJ SX3 Vs the Numark NS6ii...
I never had a chance to test that unit. If I ever get to use it I’ll make a video
Thanks for the review great content
👊🏽
Hope a video for the DDJ-1000 is coming also
Had to send it back for a week, but it’s here again so that video is coming next week
Next week? Tic tac tic tac..
Should I get this or will there be new and better controllers rolling out next year??
There will always be something new. If this unit has everything you need then why wait?
You can’t get a full Back spin on the sx3 you get half because the jobwheels are tighter than before if that makes sense
I understand. I didn’t test that. But do you only notice it with that move?
DJ TLM TV yes well when I got it I did it like i would normally do assuming it would be exactly the same as the sx2 and sx1 before but if Serato could make a update to help that would be good otherwise with all the new added features it is a great controller I still like my full backspin tho

Hello Do you know if it’s the same size as the Sx2? Just wondering if it would fit in the case
I think it is, but check the link to the pioneer site. They have all the specs
It is the same size.
Jermaine Johnson thanks I have it already

No doubt.... thanks for the tip and getting back.
Is this better than the DDJ-SZ2?
Maybe now I can afford an SX2... lolzz
😄😄

does it work with deejay pro 2? Sry that might be a stupid question.... idk :3
Does the sx3, come with Serato
I don't know if they still ship the products with a physical copy, but you can just download it from the website and the SX3 will activate it
You get license codes for pitch n time and flip ... Serato DJ Pro you will have to download it from the Serato website.
i love sx2 is best
How do i get into mic utility on mac cant find the tab
I have no idea and I don’t have the unit here anymore
Will virtual dj work with this?
It’s a midi device so you could probably map it to control VDJ
Will ddj sx3 work on rekordboxdj or just serato dj pro?
You could probably map it to control rekordbox because it is midi, but why would you want to do that? If you use Rekordbox look at the DDJ1000
djTLMtv i use the old ddj sx with rekordbox and work perfect , just plug and play .I know for the ddj 1000 maybe i switch on it .
DDJ 1000 or DDJ SX3?
I’m dropping a comparison video next week
I play with SX during my mobile gigs and with 1000 in a local club. Controller by controller I really enjoy more the CDJ feel of 1000. However, two details of Rekordbox keep me away to switch to the 1000 for my mobile gigs:

I still rather the DDJ-1000 over the “SX” series but, I also still do like the “Serato” software.
It’s a hard decision/choice to make !!!!
Ddj 1000 all day
DDJ 1000 looks awesome but iam a Serato big fans :D
Another cheeky 'New' Product from Serato, lol. I think the fact that it's limited to Serato DJ Pro is going to be one of those things that kills sales for this product IMO.
Isn't Serato DJ Pro a free upgrade if you use Serato already? I know I upgraded mine for free.
sorry dj tlm......my wifi was screwed up so i watched it a little bit late.................thanks for the review................but i have a question...........i am just starting out so should i first go for the pioneer dj ddj sb2 or should i skip to this one
That all depends on your budget
i have budget for both
Next you need to be very sure if this is something you are going to be doing for a long time. If you’re not sure yet, start with the basic controller
but should i just skip to this or should i first start from the ddj sb2
i am sure that i want to be a DJ and producer...........
Wow nice
Hello! I know your a DJ and all but I was wondering if I can ask some questions about recording music? Thats if you have experience.
Sure
Q1: when you make music and mix them all together. How do you play it for the person in the booth to hear?
Q2: when your done making a song. What’s the best way to keep it? On computer or record it onto a cassette tape?
Extra question but what equipment do you recommend to fully make a song? What keyboard? What kind of mixer? What microphone?
Thank you!
That’s a lot to answer in a comment. Especially because there are multiple answers/options for all the questions
When it comes to q2; save it on your computer, an external harddrive AND a backup outside of your house or studio (cloud backup)
Holo como lo puedo descargar para mo cp
Look, Serato math!
CTRL C + CTRL V = SX3
Ps: This is a joke
Song Yu congrats
Dual USB. Connect a backup computer so if one crashes the party continues while your crashed computer reboots. Sounds interesting.

To be honest I was too dazed watching you DJ I wasn’t able to concentrate on what you were saying. Lol. Gotta go back and just listen to the video. :(
the very minor additions arent worth an upgrade, what a disappointment, been waiting 3 years for this and got nothing important
I don’t call it minor. I understand it’s not a total overhaul, but they won’t do that. The things that were added (dual usb, color fx for all channels, the third mic input) are valuable features for a good amount of Serato/SX users (especially mobile DJs).

I was literaly going to buy the sx2 in like a week, and then I find this... Too close
