Lake District - Rydal Cave, a Small Disaster and Aira Force

After a successful hike to Rydal Cave followed by a great car camp above Windermere, and a really good night of sleep we head towards Aira Force.
However, a few miles out of camp and we hit a rock on the road and ended up with a flat tire. Five hours later and a lengthy rescue to Penrith and a cheap lunch we finally made our way to Aira Force

The Lakes are so beautiful (and I live by a national park!), I can't wait to return next year. So much I didn't see and is on my list. Glad you got your tyre sorted as quickly as you did but what a pain.

Definitely...only seem to need roadside if I'm on vacation...lol

Great cave , that sucks with the tyre :( good job you had break down cj .. can't beat a sneaky maccys sometimes 👍

Thanks. Would have preferred it without all the people. I've used breakdown only ever on vacation it seems.

awesome cave, I am with green flag now, thankfully it looks like there are 1000000x better than the RAC who I was with previously
