The surgeon who didn't definitely wouldn't be capable, but out of all the scenarios to potentially have to replant a hand, that was literally the perfect situation. shit if i saw that i would just slowly backaway without taking my eyes off the man deadlifting anything at 97 would feel almost impossible let alone a damn car on the heavier side of motor vehicles no less that almost beyond even super human granted i will give it one thing with the way he lifted it you wouldnt actually have to lift the full weight but only partial ammounts of it so if you were one of the best deadlifters that is actually kind of reasonable but at 97 thats just built different
For reference as to just how absurd Hanayama's grip strength is, it has been directly compared to the pressure exerted at the bottom of the Marina trench (and yes he is technically still only a teenager)
I love how this guy takes it all in stride and enjoys the show and explains as best he can what would happen even though it's unrealistic. Obviously it's unrealistic it's entertainment!
Technically if you flip a car you only have to lift a portion of its weight since you only lift one side off the ground and not the whole thing. Theres a vid of Patrik Baboumian flipping a car and i bet many world class deadlifters could do it too. Other than that one little error i really enjoyed the video. This isnt in the anime yet but theres a scene when Katsumi uses a technique where his fist breaks the sound barrier and the shockwave that results from the aerial wall destroys his arm thatd be a cool one to make a video on
Lol yeah even I could lift a car. It really just depends on leverage and how you grip it. But you have to realize he flipped it from the back, not the side, which makes it wayy harder considering that only one wheel was touching the ground during the flip.
Yea I was thinking of this, however I'm pretty sure this is only possibly with a small/top heavy car and some from the side, dude grabbed it from the back while it was in motion I believe, so he's essentially fighting the car and he's twisting instead of lifting and pushing, way harder.
Yeah deadlifting one end of the car is often done not even by the strongest deadlifters. But they do it with a special bar welded to the car. You can't really grab a bumper without tearing it off, and you can't really reach the framing with your hands either.
It would be incredibly difficult to set of a center fire cartridge with your teeth. Perhaps if the cartridge was held in place from above and the primer was directly lined up with a pointy part of a tooth and jaw was rammed shut. Even if this occured I doubt it would set any of the other cartridges off and since it has no barrel to travel, the projectile would not cause that much damage.

The writer is a fanatical Japan nationalist to the point of sabotaging the potential of the series. According to the manga Yujiro has forty times as much testosterone as the average man, and so he sees everyone else as female that includes men, of which he is confirmed to have raped one man. The only exception is his father Yuichiro who died when Yujiro was just a mid teen and when Yujiro started going wild and savage to global societies. That man even the most muscular largest hairiest men are women in Yujiros eyes.
hanayama's grip strength is around 15750 psi. and there is actually someone in the series with a much stronger grip than hanayama. and his name is nomi no sukune II
You think this is bad? Just recently in the manga, a character named Nomi II grabbed and shattered the ribcage of a character named Oliva Biscuit. And Oliva lived. Grappler Baki character are absolutely built different.
Not only that, he can even "shrink" a glass bottle in his hand, this means he can literally apply a pressure of several hundreds up to maybe a thousand atmospheres (as deep as the deepest ocean in the world). Absoutely insane
I have to ask, what are your thoughts on Kureha Shinogi, the resident surgeon in this universe? He’s more prominent in the old show, but he has some moments in the later seasons here that I’d love to see your take on. How much of his actions/opinions are actual science, and how much are purely fantasy? I don’t expect most of it to be plausible, but hearing your knowledge would be a blast!😁
Dr Chris, you mentioned that it would be more astounding that he lifts the car after his injuries, which I agree that it would be (very) difficult but also during the situation I would imagine that he has so much adrenaline coursing through him that he might not feel the full intensity of it immediately and could go beyond his perceived physical limits. What do you think?
Hey doc, Hanayama have a move call devil grip, by gripping both end of a person forearm, he can make it explode, I’m guessing due to the blood pressure. Can somethings like this happen?
I don't know why, I don't typically have a problem with violence, but this creeped me out. I guess that's a good thing in a way, the world doesn't need people that are ok with ripping a person's cheeks off or shoving their middle finger through someone's ear to the point that it kills them.
Both of those things are done by the antagonist though who you aren’t really supposed to side with. But I agree Baki has a pro-violence tone(not against women or non-consenting parties, not more than what is necessary, not as extreme as this fight), but it’s there.

@@JohnTheSkeptic hanayama is 19? Holy fuck that man grew up rough
God bless doc, making knowledge fun and easy 👏🏻👏🏻
My pleasure
Doc Chris rocking the Tech N9ne goatee
Instant sub it’s like having a doctor explain these injuries makes me squeamish 😵💫
Please Do more Baki lol I knew I wasn’t the only one thinking some of that bs wasn’t realistic 😂 awesome show tho
Amazing work Dr. Chris Raynor !!!
Keep up the good work my friend :D
hanayama's grip strength is around 15750 psi. and there is actually someone in the series with a much stronger grip than hanayama. and his name is nomi no sukune II
That was great material! ❤️ Pls do some more from baki series! :D
you gotta review how spec healed after that fight, it's absolutely crazy, maybe even some of the fights Ujiro Hanma has been in
this is the fight i was hoping you'd cover. it really stretches my suspension of disbelief!
There’s too many good fights in Baki to choose so I’d love to see a doctor reaction to any of Kureha Shinogi’s “operations”
I need you to do more Baki stuff, it's filled with perfect doctor analysis moments
You think this is bad? Just recently in the manga, a character named Nomi II grabbed and shattered the ribcage of a character named Oliva Biscuit. And Oliva lived. Grappler Baki character are absolutely built different.
especially Oliva, he's such a chad that he survives almost everything
@@lordtoomas and he broke the whole spine of that one dude who let oliva hit him
Loved this video. I subbed after this, hope to see more like this from you. Have a great weekend
Fun fact (unless you already know this): Kaoru Haneyama's grip strength is so potent, he can tear a chunk out of a full deck of playing cards.
Yes, I had heard that. Powerful.
Not only that, he can even "shrink" a glass bottle in his hand, this means he can literally apply a pressure of several hundreds up to maybe a thousand atmospheres (as deep as the deepest ocean in the world). Absoutely insane
Started watching this yesterday and I love this stuff
I have to ask, what are your thoughts on Kureha Shinogi, the resident surgeon in this universe? He’s more prominent in the old show, but he has some moments in the later seasons here that I’d love to see your take on. How much of his actions/opinions are actual science, and how much are purely fantasy? I don’t expect most of it to be plausible, but hearing your knowledge would be a blast!😁
Holy shit your pronunciation is 100% spot on nice vid
If you want you should cover Sikorsky's injuries cause got damn did that man take beating
From Jack, right? Jack also "Jacked up" Jr. Lol
Lol I love this series. Im happy you're doing this. I'd like you to go over the baki vs the poison dude in the reitei tournament
With his medical knowledge and biceps, this doctor would make a good anime character himself just saying..
my god sir...from the bottom of my heart that was an extremely interesting watch keep it up bro damm
Hopefully these are fun to breakdown, because they are so entertaining as both an anime fan, and a fan of medical information. Thanks!
Hey doc, Hanayama have a move call devil grip, by gripping both end of a person forearm, he can make it explode, I’m guessing due to the blood pressure. Can somethings like this happen?
I've been waiting for this.
Man this fight I really thought Hanayama was really gonna lose.
I love these Doctors' react videos... I'm watching most of them
well it's an anime...physics are pretty much always optional there
I don’t even watch this stuff but I Love how he reviews it! 🤣👍
Fun fact: hanayama is just a teenager
Scary huh?
This was amazing, thank you sir.
Don't forget Hanayama is just a...16 year old
I remember watching baki and being completely blown away. It was my first time ever seeing anything Baki related.
I don't know why, I don't typically have a problem with violence, but this creeped me out. I guess that's a good thing in a way, the world doesn't need people that are ok with ripping a person's cheeks off or shoving their middle finger through someone's ear to the point that it kills them.
i dont mind
Yeah. Definitely not for everyone. I think that’s part of the appeal, but I definitely feel you there.
Both of those things are done by the antagonist though who you aren’t really supposed to side with. But I agree Baki has a pro-violence tone(not against women or non-consenting parties, not more than what is necessary, not as extreme as this fight), but it’s there.
So awesome that you watch this show.
6:16 And we do have to specify that such record is only achievable with performance enhancing drugs (around 30% performance boost in this scenario) since the World Record of unequipped and drug free deadlift is 345,5kg by Vaipan Bogdan, a man of 125kg of bodyweight, source: world drug free powerlifting federation
The WR is in the IPF, by Ray Williams, 398.5kg. The IPF is the head and main drug tested powerlifting federation in the world.
@@deadcakesandpanlifts2019 he did squat 490kg too, so idk how much safe that kind of result may be, but for sure lifts of "The Mountain" are 100% PEDs usage
Well....gotta watch this show now...thanks doc!
Yeah baki feels stupid to watch. Like the idea of igniting something with your teeth is f stupid and impasibol
Yea but logic ist the point of baki lits literally how insane can the fight get.
Not sure why but the "Whatever it is , is a lot" killed me XD. This channel is dope
all of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) thank you for your time
I’m VERY excited about this series 🙌🏻
