    The doctors in this universe can perfectly sew a severed hand back together with full functionality in a back alley clinic while drunk. For all the power and technique shown in Baki when it comes to fighting, it’s the medical expertise that impresses me the most.

    • @thesun5275
      @thesun5275 3 года назад +73

      Honestly out of all of the cases, while it is ridiculous that he was drunk, the thing to remember was that the removal of the hand was basically surgical with a wire that was so thin it cleanly cut through the hand with no resistance and it was so thin it couldn't rip through the skin or arteries or veins. The surgeon who didn't definitely wouldn't be capable, but out of all the scenarios to potentially have to replant a hand, that was literally the perfect situation.
      Instantly got the limb on ice, he was able to stop the bleeding well enough, and he was able to find treatment almost immediately.

    I always like Koushou and his "cord cut" technique from the 90's anime. He literally stabs his finger into your body and rips your nerves out. Baki has had the nerves to one of his arms and eyes cut (didn't you know that the optic nerve is in the neck?) and Baki is better later that day. Koushou's brother Kureha is a surgeon. He had to do open-heart surgery on someone to save their life and without any tools just punched into their chest to get to work right away. Baki is a weird show

    It would be incredibly difficult to set of a center fire cartridge with your teeth. Perhaps if the cartridge was held in place from above and the primer was directly lined up with a pointy part of a tooth and jaw was rammed shut. Even if this occured I doubt it would set any of the other cartridges off and since it has no barrel to travel, the projectile would not cause that much damage.

    Super human is bare minimum in the Baki universe. There is a doctor who was able to re-attach Orochi's hand after it was cut off. Nevermind the fact one of the fighter's in baki's crew is a doctor himself who saved Orochi by literally messaging his heart back into beating without cutting into him.

According to the manga Yujiro has forty times as much testosterone as the average man, and so he sees everyone else as female that includes men, of which he is confirmed to have raped one man. The only exception is his father Yuichiro who died when Yujiro was just a mid teen and when Yujiro started going wild and savage to global societies. I have to ask, what are your thoughts on Kureha Shinogi, the resident surgeon in this universe? He’s more prominent in the old show, but he has some moments in the later seasons here that I’d love to see your take on. How much of his actions/opinions are actual science, and how much are purely fantasy? I don’t expect most of it to be plausible, but hearing your knowledge would be a blast!😁

    Dr Chris, you mentioned that it would be more astounding that he lifts the car after his injuries, which I agree that it would be (very) difficult but also during the situation I would imagine that he has so much adrenaline coursing through him that he might not feel the full intensity of it immediately and could go beyond his perceived physical limits. What do you think?
