I feel the imaginary dinner was a metaphor for a relationship they both want but can never have. In the end, Baki forced Yujiro to show how much he really cared and that's all Baki wanted.
It's a metaphor for how yujiro always claimed Baki was a meal for him to eat (a good fight) Baki says his meal is flawed (cause Baki isn't just a pawn for yujiro to beat he's his own man) and thus Baki flips the table, a rejection of the paradigm set by yujiro, cause Baki despite everything wants them to be father and son not just enemies.
i think it's a metaphor for the answer to why kill baki's mom, salty soup means baki suggest that yujiro over did it when he kill the mom, and then yujiro start to say how baki dosn't know what soup suppose to taste like means baki just don't know the right way to deal with things, then yujiro point out it's a fake meal means the whole hanma family is fake was made by him for his own challenge and he dosn't care, but when baki flip the imaginary table he was mad means he does care, that's where baki got his answer for why kill mom, being mad for flip table means he actually care about the family, admit the soup is salty means he admite he over did it when he kill baki's mom.
😂 "What did we just watch" is the Baki experience in my opinion. Its so wild and loose for the absolute monster level fighters that i genuinely found myself going "...wait what the heck?!"
This was awesome bridging the gap between this obvious unnatural feet of physical abilities an durability with explaining the actual effects of trauma that a normal human would sustain under these levels of impacts was greatly done you out did yourself doc
While incredible to look at this I am a vehicle engineer and the scene where the 2 inhumans bend a Toyota Town Ace van 90 degrees is a force equal to a 300 ton train hitting it at over 80 km/h. Forget putting logic behind any injuries from normal hand to hand combat, we are looking at Superman vs Zod fight here.
I recomend you watch the video "How Strong is Yujiro Hanma?" By ThunderGod. There he shows the insane feats of speed power durability that he series shows. The Baki universe may not scale to planatery power but it is not a normal human level of power.
@@POTATOEMPN No they are not comparable. Superman has a magic field that protects him somehow. He would just stand there as Yujiro breaks his hands hitting superman.

I was actually thinking of watching Baki during the weekend but decided against it because people seem to think it's so OTT, Kengan Ashura would be interesting video idea since it has a ton of different styles and portray them semi realistically
@@TheLazyFinn Kengan is over the top as well, not to Baki levels but it's still unrealistic in many fights. It's weaker in many aspects from it's terrible CGI, to it's lesser developed characters. This is the level of fitness we should all aspire to. A society of individuals capable of enduring this level of trauma would go a long way towards reducing the cost of healthcare.
Sure, having a bunch of people capable of punching through concrete, and be thrown through said concrete sounds like a reasonable goal for humans to achieve. (Should I mention that Pickle who got beat by Baki here stopped firearm bullets with his muscles too ?)
It's hilarious how this entire arc, which was just one SINGULAR fight, started with a slap, and ended with a slap. Yujiro's, being the strongest creature in the planet, most powerful weapon, and pretty much most iconic, is literally just slapping his opponent with enough force it just ends the fight. With his strength, Yujiro can literally smash anyone's heads like a grape, but he instead uses it to stun everyone.
One of those falls to the square of the back, Baki used a Jujitsu/aikido technique to displace the force through his arms and shoulders. Slapping the floor just before his spine makes contact. It won't save you fully but it for sure helps displace some of the forces
Baki definitely has some cool fights that are fun to examine. I just wish more people would also acknowledge its pretty messed up takes on relationships
if you can kick someone through a wall like that they'd probably be dead before they hit the wall. The force it takes to send a human body like that is quite a bit .
I can appreciate an educated medical professional humoring the crazy anime logic to deliver genuine information instead of just scoffing at how bizarre it is. Great channel
I don’t know why, but the fact you started describing the bladder after baki peed himself at 15:56 is incredibly funny to me. Also, I would love to see your analysis on Baki VS Pickle, love to see these types of videos from you :)
9:55 I remember taking a fall from about that height straight on my back. I was completely fine away from a few cuts on my arms and face but I remember when i told the doctor she said “Why are you alive?”
at 9:20-ish, when Baki drops on the concrete, he's using both his arms to spread the impact, and sticks his chin to his chest so he protects his head and prevent his back from taking the full force of the impact - this is exactly how wrestlers (and I bet other athletes and martial artists) drop on the mat, it'd still hurt like hell but I was somewhat surprised at the level of detail of that part.
About the car thing. He had like 3 instances of drunk and super lucky people falling from 17th and 18th floors on a car. In all instances they survived with a couple of broken bones and in the instance or 17th floor, the guy broke an arm in 1 place and 2 cracks in the ribs, walked it off and fell asleep on the car. Drunk Russians, I guess...
That's Itagaki's way of telling a story. His art style and storytelling use extremes that we wouldn't even think about and uses those extremes to show the story he's trying to tell. The ending, based on that knowledge, is basically them both giving the things they both cherished the most to the other. Yujiro gave up his title, and Baki gave up his victory against his dad. Throughout the story, you can see that they both cherish those things, Yujiro loves being the strongest being alive and Baki is working his ass off in order to best his dad.
At this point, with the durability and strength Baki and Yujiro have shown, the Hanma’s can’t be human, at least not completely. Even in a universe where genuine humans do plenty of superhuman shit
loved the ARManga clip. You really need to suspend disbelief to watch Baki, but that's what makes it fun. I wonder if there are any realistic depictions of injuries in anime.

Remember when Baki slapped Yujiro back because he wanted to see Yujiro's pained expression? But Yujiro was able to counter that. The ending of the fight - Is Baki actually being able to force Yujiro into the kitchen - is a small win for Baki because of the same reason. Yujiro wasn't able to counter that, so Baki was able to Yujiro to a point where he showed his weakness. - That's a win in itself. Ofcourse physically Baki wasn't able to beat his dad.
