Just ordered one to sit with the 1250RS and the S1000XR. Spent 3 hours on the test G310R today and find it perfect for the country roads around here. Lot of time spent talking about the price and the fact that you can get a more powerful bike for less money. I have more powerful bikes, 136 and 165 bhp, but 34 is fine for the little one. Who cares about money in this price bracket anyway?
Think it will be a great addition to your garage, I really enjoyed my time with the bike and it sounds like you have the perfect use for it…..just wouldn’t want to have it as my only bike.

The gs is a lot of fun and very versatile. Great bike.
I certainly enjoyed my time with it.
I prefer the 310GS and considering one for my daily commute and a bit of weekend fun - it has more road presence too
Haven’t had the opportunity to ride one yet, but it’s definitely an interesting option.
