IMO the majority of people that watch your videos love what you’re doing and don’t end up leaving a comment saying otherwise! Hopefully you can keep that in mind and don’t let the few people that disagree with a build get you down :). Keep up the amazing work Bricksie!
I understand the stress he faces, but we are here to follow Jordan’s vision. We may offer advice, or see something that we think could be made better, but at the end of the day we enjoy whatever he decides to do. What we truly enjoy most, even if all viewers don’t recognize it, is Jordan’s work ethic, humbleness and leadership on how to be a good family man. RUclipsrs are often the anti-celebrity. Just normal people, sharing the talents that make them unique and special.
@@VaughnLowerthat's one thing I like about him, humble and down to earth etc, there is a lady lego youtuber I can't exactly remember her channel name but she also has a city, I can not stand her, it always seems like she's almost bragging in a way of oh look at this big haul, and other things kinda in a entitled way. I don't know it may be just me but what I know is Jordan and one of the only lego youtubers I watch other then occasionally some others.
This is the first time you’re experimenting with these buildings, of course other people might have done it differently, but that’s the whole point, this is your artistic process and about you learning what you like the look of. I think it’s inspiring that you enjoy what you’ve made.
I follow a lot of Lego City RUclipsrs, and what I notice most is the “sameness” of all the cities - official Lego city modulars tiled together with similar looking roads. You could take a close up picture of most Lego cities and you would have trouble telling which city belongs to whom. Customizing the modulars is a great first step to making your city stand out from most of the other Lego city channels. Keep up the great work.
You know what? I thought the result of this expanded police station was a bit flat across the front when you first showed it complete. It felt a bit lifeless. But then you placed it in the city and it totally works. I think one of your more subtle talents is the ability to imagine what the model will look like in context, rather than just what it looks like when you build it on your desk. I also think your attitude towards the negativity is spot on. Keep up the great work and thank you for the always entertaining videos!
As a plus, the un-recessed Doughnut Shop and City Press add even more square studdage than otherwise. With most lots being filled in Brickmonton, every stud is highly valued. Though the City Press guy COULD maximize his use of the second floor, LOL.
I'm sad to hear that people don't like what you're doing, I personally really like how you're making these builds specially yours! Can't wait to see the next project!
You and Simon have done an amazing job in this city, no matter what people say keep going, keep doing what you do and your builds are amazing, make sure you and your family keeps healthy.
My wife and I think what you did with these buildings looks great. We don’t understand why people who would build theirs differently feel the need to tell you to change yours. We think that the negative feedback people aren’t even building LEGO and are just internet trolls who should be ignored by you. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing it with us! And also your doubled botanical garden came out totally awesome!
I love your reimagined Police Station, It's your city and you have to enjoy what you do. I enjoy taking a concept and adding my own spin on it as well. I love your content. I think a newspaper stand, or at least a newspaper box where people could grab a paper with their coffee would be great.
I really like your plans for making your entire city custom buildings and this is a great step towards it! I've had many city layouts but one thing I recommend is choosing 1-2 building styles. It makes everything fit together as 1 whole piece and makes it look even better
I don’t know what these people are complaining about? You’re doing a great job been watching for years now! Great entertainment and great builds. I always look forward for new videos everyday! I also love the vlog videos about your life and building those are awesome!
I would love to see this custom police station increased by one or two floors. I think this would add a nice effect to the square by breaking the city roof top profile. 😊👍
Loving the City Press! I swear I've been in virtually identical, messy stockrooms in my time. Jordan, your videos bring me joy. Thank you for sharing your lego journey with the world
First, these buildings turned out amazing! You’ve truly made the modular buildings a unique build all your own. Also, I love that you give Simon credit for his work. It would be so easy to never mention him, or his designs, but you give him his credit and really showcase his work when it goes above and beyond.
These custom buildings look absolutely great! Also I think that maybe adding some small alleyways between those buildings would add depth and add a bit mysteriousness to the city. Keep up the great work!
Glad you're enjoying your builds, that's the number 1 thing with Lego! Really enjoy the way the City Press has been built, word play in lego baffles me at times!
Do NOT give into that negativity. You are building MOC's with existing pieces! you are dealing with design limits that people often forget about. I personally LOVE LOVE LOVE the enlarged police station. My only critique of the donut shop is the color...well that's how it came and you did a great job with the actual design so there! I'm a fan of these builds and like honestly...if you look at the way cities are built...most buildings...maximize available floor space....your designing in such a way that is closer to reality. when you show the buildings in context of you city...your city DOES LOOK MORE realistic...more true to life. It just does. So great job. keep this up.
Love the look of these 3 buildings together. Having the last building set back 2 studs is a great compromise. The buildings are also 3 different heights. Not a huge difference but still there. The blue slopes on the back roof look like covered-up windows. Actually a great realistic detail! Excited to hear you have 3.5 baseplate ready to redevelop. Get it all opened up at once and rebalance the city, leaving yourself space, maybe for a taller tower. Or a row of buildings with 2, 3, 4, 5 story, some set back different depths.
I love the look of all the buildings. I think it would be super cool to add 2 more floors to the police station and I also think it would be cool to add a bed and toilet in the roof of the city press to make it his own house like the donut shop. Keep up the great work and I’m super excited to see double jazz club
You should add 1 or 2 more floors to the police station to make it stand out between the other 2 buildings more like it was in the original set. I think the doibled buildings look great, keep up the awesome work!
I love what you have done with the police station and the 2 other buildings. I love the 16x32 baseplate buildings. A great example of what people like me can build in a limited space. 🙂
Just dropping down to the comment section to leave a note that I think your customizations to the modulars are fantastic, add to the commanding feel of the fronts, and boost the detail. I like when builders branch out into their own designs a little and don't marry themselves to sets' instruction books. Also, awesome Lego room overall!
I absolutely love how this city press looks, as a suggestion for the next modular building to expand I say try the downtown diner I’ve always wanted to add a fourth floor on that and I think it would look really good
I absolutely love what you've done for this build! And I completely disagree with those who say they "hate it" or "dislike it". I think it's an amazing build and glad you got to express your creativity!
Hey Jordan!! As you we’re talking about the outright negative comments, all I could think about was how much i was enjoying you growing and becoming more comfortable with your own designs , and how it really shows in these most recent ones! They look great to me! And then you mentioned that you really want to get into fully designing buildings yourself, and it all made sense! You are definitely on the right track with this! I have thought for a long time now that you really underestimate how creative you are! Keep doing your thing and keep that positive energy and smile!! There are far more people who watch, and love this channel , and who never comment than you know!! We support you ! Have a great day!!
Jordan, I really Iike what you and Simon did. It looks a little flat, but not bad at all, and a lot of city blocks do have the fronts of the stores lined up so that the sidewalk width stays consistent. Don't listen to the naysayers. These look awesome and are unique to your city which makes them even better. I agree with you that the small side buildings seen with the current modulars are often just too small to really make much sense or have proper detailing. These buildings look much more appropriate in size, allow more storytelling, and use LEGO for it's intended purpose of getting creative with them. Keep up the good work.
I litteraly can't think of one reason why someone wouldn't like this. I mean the police station looks just amazing! I think that especially making the police station bigger was a great choice because I think expanding it really made it look like a police station. Looking at them in real life their fairly big and the exterior of the bakery is fantastic. And now with the new City Press, I think that this is just such a great project and I really hope to see more videos like this in the future!
Amazing work!! Looks fantastic!! I saw a comment a couple of videos ago that suggested a helipad and bat signal on the roof of the police station, I think these would be the finishing touches!! My final thought is that another floor for the police station with locker room, two way mirror interrogation rooms etc. would complete it and give it some more height. Keep it up the great work and stay positive!!
10:03 I’ve been watching you for a long time and as a former LEGO professional, I wanted to tell you how much I’m impressed by your work, particularly builds like this. When you get creative with expanding a modular, or do something custom, your skills and joy shine through. Keep it up!
I’ve been wanting to do something similar with the police station to make hospital modular seeing that Lego still hasn’t made one. This will give me a lot more motivation as to how well it can turn out.
Ever since I started watching your videos about a year ago, you’ve given me so many ideas for my own lego city. The 10270 Police Station is one of my all time favorite modular buildings, so I’ve loved all these videos over the past couple of days
I’m really enjoying the revamp of the modulars Jordan! I like that the buildings are still recognizable from the original, but also have your creative spin. And one of the joys of Lego is that you can always rebuild it and make adjustments. Keep up the great content!
In my opinion this is what Lego is all about. Lego gives you a guideline/ design how it can be...but it's open to your imagination what you do with it, right. I would love to see more of your own modular creations. 👍👍👍
Ignore the haters man, just do what makes you happy and what's fun FOR YOU. I think you're doing a great job and I can't wait to see even more custom stuff :)
11:44 you should do what you like! I like these buildings much better, you can be proud of them!!! Don't look at what others think! it's simply great 🤩
Being excited about using your ‘own’ creativity is fantastic. It’s your city, your imagination that’s the beauty of LEGO. Building by the numbers is fun and challenging at times, but taking it to the next level is the natural progression of self expression! Great look and uniquely special! Be safe and well.
Bricksie dont let the haters hate they don’t matter I look up to you as a younger builder with a custom city and that would be my dream to build something like that it looks soo good! I think that building looks sweet and definitely you should keep in your Lego city as it is stunning with the snot details. You can never do so think for everyone but it is what makes you feel good and if you like good on you it’s your city and I love watching your vids they make me laugh even in though times like now how my dad is in the hospital as he almost passed away and don’t let the haters hate!
I like what you produce. You may do things in ways differently then I would, but that's part of the beauty of Lego. You mentioned that maybe you could have included the news stand, but I don't think that's needed for that building. You could use the collectible minifigure of the newsie kid out front with a stack of papers next to the door, hawking papers to people.
I’m watching your blog right now. Stop second guessing yourself, you are amazing! Anybody can put together the LEGO pieces, but you make them a community for LEGO people, and you give ideas for people like me. Thank you!
I'm so sorry that you receive negative comments (vs truly constructive feedback). I'm not sure why people are so negative. It really serves no purpose. I am happy that I found your channel when I started getting into LEGO as an Adult. I think that the clip you played (with LEGO Master Jamie) said it all - LEGO is meant to inspire creativity. It's one of the things that I truly love about LEGO. You can put your own spin on someone else's engineering genius to suit your style. I recently purchased the Cozy House and didn't like certain color choices and then realized I can just order the parts to swap out the colors to match the vibe I was going for. LEGO makes this such a fun thing to do. Not to mention, I learn new building techniques along the way. Most RUclips LEGO content creators don't even share the techniques they employ for the building process. You are one of the few who does so I applaud (and eagerly learn from) your videos. Keep up the positivity and providing inspiration. It's highly appreciated.
I actually didn't read many of previous comments so I'm not aware of the negative feedback. Yes, there are different opinions, but Lego is there exactly because we can rebuild anything on our on taste, so those who don't agree can build something different. One thing for sure. For me, you fixed one of the things bug me the most on some official modulars: that need to look more than one narrow building when it's actually one single building, like the Detective Office was, and like the Jazz Club is too. For me, they could omit the sand green area, and incorporate the cell and mugshot area into the tan area, and double the donut shop area like you did.
The buildings look cool, nice work Jordan. Simon smashed it with that sign. Haters gonna hate, forget those people who don’t understand LEGO is a unique experience for everyone! PS a bat signal would go perfect on the roof of the police station, just a suggestion
I love the way they look, and you always find a way to surprise me with your skill in every video. Don't listen to the people trying to bring you down. Only listen to those trying to bring you up.
I love seeing your process with making these customized modulars, encourages me to take some of my sets I've gotten with my wife and try to make them our own. Our daughter recently broke our re-brickable book nook made from two noodle shop sets and i haven't had the time to rebuild it, maybe I'll make it modular instead to have with our jazz club. Keep up the good work!
Have you thought about super-sizing town hall and making it a double-corner-building. I think that would look epic if those custom corner-buildings would be a big town hall instead.
I LOVE the new direction your city is going in. Yes there is ALOT to be said when you are the only person in the world to have the LEGO MOC model that you do. I'm doing a Ninjago city that is totally it's own thing...and it's epic looking! I know that feeling of coming up with something great. Preserving the modular buildings and then doing MOC's for the main city is the ultimate way to go. Kudos, Congratulations, and I know its going to be an epic experience. Falling in love with your own designs is soooo rewarding...all the love you will get from these makes this whole thing sooo worth it. I cannot praise this move of yours enough. I'm really looking forward to your future videos and where you end up taking this.
Your creativity is beyond compare. People who don’t appreciate that should watch what they want to watch, not demote what you’re doing. I WISH I could create like you, I’m older and trying new hobbies. Keep motivating me!
I watch you every morning and I love what you're doing. To take original models and make them your own and learning different building techniques is the best. I'm 47yrs old and have both a city and also I'm into custom building technic sets. Great job on both what and how you're doing things your way forget the "haters" they are just jealous.
Awesome bro- it's your city, your vision, don't let anyone bring you down! I really enjoy when you customize the buildings. What is your plan with the little newspaper stands? I think they would look cool in different parts of the city.
I'm totally sold on doubling every modular ! Nicely done for the ones already been taking care of. But a double corner city hall will be so much fun to see I can't wait!🚀
I love the way you're expanding your modulars, I've always thought they look too small. I know that's probably done by lego to keep costs down (for them) and knowing that not everyone has the space or time to build a whole city. Keep sharing your ideas, anyone who gives you a snarky comment would probably tell you they are a "purist" when in fact they're green jealous of your creative genius
I often find that Lego cities can look odd when made up of only stock modular buildings as they look underscaled. By doing this you are adding so much more credibility and scale so keep on going
Love these buildings. LEGO is all about taking apart and making things your own. I wish I had the creative mind to do things like this with some of the sets I own. You are appreciated and I feel like people feel comfortable criticizing you because they know you really do care. Keep up the great work.
I think they look great. I recently built my own modular out of the City Grocery store from last year, the Fab 5 set and my inventory. It's a great experiance. One critique or note, the Bakery building feels like its missing just a small detail at the left and right on the roof. There's that element in the middle that adds height, but the left and right feel like they need something as well. Maybe another small curve with an egg at each side? I know the original had a small detail as well at each end.
I really like how the new city press looks! I do think it is kinda valid that there could be a bit more depth but it still looks really nice. Good job Bricksie. 👍
I appreciate the customization! I have been telling you to build up, but am not taking away from the awesome work you are doing, just trying to help you free up space.
Hi Bricksie! I absolutely Love what you are doing with the buildings. It been super fun to watch you build these 3 buildings! I cant wait to watch you improve the Jazz Club. Keep up the amazing work!
I normally don’t leave a comment and I DO enjoy your content. I see this as your vision, ideas, possibilities, and you do you! Thanks for sharing your Lego world with us. Keep it up
Very good job, that s my first comment here, but i find it WAY more interesting when you custom the sets you bought like this ;) your city is amazing ! and i really liked your long diorama with castles and i am in hurry to see you doing underwater landscapes under the beach , would be wonderful !
I fully agree that building the oficial LEGO modular buildings helps you get better at doing your own MOC’s. Just the understanding of some construction details is essential.
Hey bricksie don’t let the haters get to you I’m a huge fan of this police station upgrade, one thing i would have to say is that I believe the police station seems to long but still the side buildings look epic!
I think the police station look a lot better in bigger size as there are some more room for the police to actially work. The original building is very cramped. The side buildings are very nice too. Love the City Press.
I think it is a good progect but if i were doing this i would add one more floor to the pollice station to give it more visual impact by comparison to the buildings on eather side
This is an excellent example of what Lego is supposed to be all about. It’s taking an original set and parts and creating something of your own. This build is incredible and will likely inspire so many others to build their own creations. Lego sets are cool, only made better by individuals and groups that ad their own ideas. Keep up the creative ideas !
Great job on these creations. I agree with Jamie. I grew up with LEGO in the 70's. Which meant, to create new, I had to destroy previous. The new 12 in 1 gift with purchase directs you to destroy to build the next.
On the Daily Press, one of the walls facing the front is just gray. I think it would look great to add a sign or advertisement billboard there. Great Work!
Jordan ignore the hate it’s hard but those people saying that are so jealous that you can make this and they can’t it’s just jealousy. These are great customs and I hope you don’t stop doing this because I relay like watching these kind of videos! Keep up the good work you are rhe best Lego RUclipsr!!!!
End of the day, it's YOUR lego city. You do what you want it to be and it is an incredible. The people that hate on it are just jealous they don't have your creativity and vision of how you want your city.
I truly like what you are doing with these buildings and the LEGO City! I hope to do the same once I move and can have a LEGO room of my own. Your creativity in doing this shows. Don't let the naysayers get you down. They lack the creativity to see what you are doing and I believe this is what the LEGO masters want LEGO users to do with modular buildings. m
Bro, first thing...if someone hates on your builds, get bent. It's Lego. Literally the nature of the toy is to be unique to what you want to see. Second, to anyone who wants to hate on this guy building Lego, it speaks more to where you are than where he is.
Loving the fact that the press building is now taller than the police station! It’s awesome to see these Modular’s being supersized. Are you planning on supersizing other Modular’s like these ones? If so I would love to see the fire station being enlarged
Keeping the press part in this build makes sense The different depth is great 👍 Awesome sign I think you should add at least one more floor to the Police Station, now that its not taller than the other buildings. You did an awesome job with this, don't listen to the negative comments Room with boxes is cool
IMO the majority of people that watch your videos love what you’re doing and don’t end up leaving a comment saying otherwise! Hopefully you can keep that in mind and don’t let the few people that disagree with a build get you down :). Keep up the amazing work Bricksie!

I love watching and listening to you talk about Legos and the passion you have for Legos. Your creativity shines through in these builds. Well done!
I am stunned with how good they look
Same here, they each look worthy of being official sets. Bricksie and Simon have created three fantastic structures.
I really like your plans for making your entire city custom buildings and this is a great step towards it! I've had many city layouts but one thing I recommend is choosing 1-2 building styles. It makes everything fit together as 1 whole piece and makes it look even better

Not liking something does not a hater make.

you should do what you like!
I personally would love for you to do these double ups with every modular exactly the way you did it with these!!
Realy beautiful buildings, they look so much better!
This is your city! You are doing a great job and inspiring many people to build Legos.
Absolutely love the stock room and office space and some of the offset angles of the boxes adds great realism! Keep up the awesome work!
Absolutely awesome builds Jordan! Love how you’ve made these your own, love them! 😍
YES more creativity that's what Legos are for .
Love these upgrades ❤
Do your thing Jordan, glad you don't take nothing negative!
I often find that Lego cities can look odd when made up of only stock modular buildings as they look underscaled. By doing this you are adding so much more credibility and scale so keep on going
I really like the addition of the City Press. I'm really inspired now to do my own Police Station modifications, keep up the creative work!
Love these buildings. LEGO is all about taking apart and making things your own. I wish I had the creative mind to do things like this with some of the sets I own. You are appreciated and I feel like people feel comfortable criticizing you because they know you really do care. Keep up the great work.
I love what your doing with the Modular’s they look so cool! Don’t listen to people just do what makes you happy.
I like what you did with these buildings! They look great! Keep up the awesomeness!
Depth really does make a difference in the before and after shots
Reducing depth by 4-6 studs significantly affects what you can do with the interior, especially when you need a staircase.
You've basically given them a new life,@@Bricksie. I love all your Lego City projects.
Hey bricksie don’t let the haters get to you I’m a huge fan of this police station upgrade, one thing i would have to say is that I believe the police station seems to long but still the side buildings look epic!
Looks great! I think adding a floor to the police station would improve the skyline of the three buildings
Who Cares what others think, it's YOUR Lego City! I think it looks GREAT! Keep the Fantastic work! 💕
Simon really killed it on that sign work. Great snot assembly!
Your creativity is your own. It's your fun to create New buildings. I like it a lot. Gives me New ideas to build my own style. Keep building!!😊
I really love the look of all the finished buildings, it looks amazing with the different heights that gives it all a bit more flavour you could say
On the Daily Press, one of the walls facing the front is just gray. I think it would look great to add a sign or advertisement billboard there. Great Work!
Would be cool to add angled windows on the back of the roof where you ran out of black slopes and open the floor into the 2nd level
They lack the creativity to see what you are doing and I believe this is what the LEGO masters want LEGO users to do with modular buildings. m
It shouldn't matter if it takes away from the original because it's your original custom build. It's an amazing set of modulars.
Maybe in the press building instead of a window put a loading door/delivery area where you can lift pallets up and take and send out orders?
I would make the whole city press bottom floor green and not green and tan love this project can’t wait for more like it.
Keeping the press part in this build makes sense
The different depth is great 👍
Awesome sign
I think you should add at least one more floor to the Police Station, now that its not taller than the other buildings.
You did an awesome job with this, don't listen to the negative comments
Room with boxes is cool
Bricksie you’re freaking crushing it buddy! I love the direction you’re taking the city and watching your creativity grow!
I love how the city is slowly turning into Custom. Maybe one day It will become fully Custom
