Why Ball Valves instead of Gate Valves at the Wellhead

This is misleading. There is a reason gate valves are preferred for most applications. This is absolutely not a safety improvement in most applications. Here he speaks about storage aka injection wells which account for a very small % of wells. This is kind of like usint a smart car to transport a 12ft Christmas tree... can you yeah probably but should you? likely most of the time no.
