Hi Rich. I want to calculate end time based on total time spent in the task. For example, a task took 45 mins to complete, the end time should be start time + total time spent. That is what I know, but if the end date moves to the next day then this formula does not work
Hi Baba! So the task continues into the next day? In this case, you would calculate 2 time spans and then add them together. 1. The start time on day 1 until midnight of that day. Say the start is 10:30 pm.. you would compute 90 minutes. 2. If the task continues until 2:00 AM the next day you would compute 120 minutes since midnight. 3. Add the results together and you should get 90 + 120 = 210 minutes for the task.
@@ApexTrainingLLC No No, that is not what I want Rich. I have start date and time in separate columns as well as end date and time. Now, I don't want to put the end time manually, but I want to put a formula there which takes the value of the "total time taken" column when I complete a task. For example if a task takes 45 mins, then then end time should be "=+total time taken col" (for example). Which is easy, I know as I already did that BUT the issue comes when the end date goes to the next day or moves 2 days over (in this case the formula does not work the same)
