Garret seems to like the new combine too!...lol... Wes , glad ya'll are gettin' such a good wheat crop in...and Thank goodness for helpful neighbors! Hope you got the rain you needed, and appreciate the reminder, which can't be stated often enough...that freedom...is not free! Thank ya'll for farmin', feedin', fixin' and "freein'"...🇺🇲..!
fantastic to see the new combine go , looked a good yield too , love your vids so much , here across the pond the winter Barley is just about ready , wheat is about a month away , i and going to do our second cut silage so getting the mower on our IH 674 , and change the blades , hopefully you got the rain you wanted , was so upset to here about that independence day shooting 😒
I was sold when I saw you put the blocks down for the landing gear! With the truck not against it! I can’t tell you how bad that wears me out when I see people do that 🤣 we were both taught the correct way. Great channel!
Sweet helpers in the combine. I'd include your dad in that but I don't want him getting the wrong idea. I thought things went well despite a few setbacks. The auto harvest software was impressive. I think Larsons put brushes on their combine to help with header lose on beans. The brushes go on and off pretty easy, from my recliner.. Wall Street types are screwing farmers on grain prices, AGAIN! Better than expected yields are always a nice surprise. Fields looks good at 25mph+ . Hope the rain moved in.
Not to tell you but should have small wire concaves for wheat, and a lockup kit for the head!! But those inserts will help also should have 2 rows of covers on right and 3 rows on left side. I run a s 760 and is clean with that setup!! Those drapers are worth every penny they cost!!!
Nice looking setup, Wes...With current prices, will you increase wheat acreage this fall? Will be interesting to see how much wheat gets produced in Ukraine. They may have plenty of bushels and a good crop but not able to sell it due to Soviets blocking it.
On July 4, 1826, former Presidents Jefferson and Adams, who were once fellow Patriots and then adversaries, died the same day within five hours of each other. From a drafted, disabled, and Republic of Vietnam combat veteran '68. Look up my next door farm neighbor Alex Zsigo. He died in Vietnam the month I went into the Army. I was raised on a 1400 acre farm in Michigan. Our big tractor was the model 1950 Detroit Diesel Oliver with front drive assist. Our government people suck. I interned under the crook Governor Jimmy Carter '74. My first meeting in DC was with a drunk democrat senator named Talmadge. The congressman I worked with went to jail. I got out of government after 2 years.
Exactly Josh, and I noticed the Comment below too criticise you my friend, But, we had 2, and I got sick and tired of The breakdowns, Because they were a pce of shit and a waste of time and money, and yet, Dad bought the very 1st John Deere header sold in our district, and I can assure u it NEVER broke down, In the 12 years Dad had it!! Except for the normal 'wear and tear of bearings etc etc, but, u just couldn't kill it!! AND my late father always said, 'if a better header, or combine Harvestor was ever built, I WANT TO SEE IT!! AND, equally Dad bought a brand new A554 international tractor in 1962, and it just never broke down!! Bar normal wear and tear, just like Dads Header!! AND, his best friend, who farmed next door, told Dad he SHOULD have bought a John Deere Tractor instead!! But!! The John Deere Tractor he had kept on breaking down, and had to have the engine rebuilt 2xs!! AND, when he went to the USA, ( dad's friend) he asked Dad 12 years after he bought the A554, ' How many xs did u rebuild the motor Alan? Dad replied, ' I've NEVER HAD IT rebuilt!!, and, it STILL had perfect compression, and it was only 7 psi less on all 4 cylinders, when Dad did a compression test on it!! AND, the same day, Dads friend brought his international planter,or a combine in Australia which was identical to dad's seeds, , and Even tho, the other guy, Dads mate, started in front of Dad in the same paddock, BUT!! Within 3 laps of the 4000 acre paddock, Dad caught up with!! AND lapped him, hence Alan, his mate, had to move over on the next turn!! AND, Dad caught, and lapped him AGAIN!!😂and they were both only going as fast with their ground speed, as was practical, and both tractors normal, gear for sewing!! AND boy ohhh boy!! Dad's friend, NEVER LIVED IT DOWN!!😂AND, IT WAS in 74/5, and Dad won the champion crop of the district, and the state that year, and It all went premium 1!! Which was the best of the best!!, and, the following year, Dad's friend bought a brand new international tractor too!! AND, he's STILL got, and is still using it today!! Albeit for things like moving field bins, and the big Augers these days, but!! It's STILL got about 85 pc, of the compression it had, when he brought it new Josh!! AND, pls don't get me wrong!! Because dad's 1st header proved that, J.D DO!! Make a brilliant machine!! But!! As u quite rightly said, the 1 in the above photo was a lemon.
Wow that combine is monstrous. Love it

@@WesFarms even worse when you back into the trailer and knock it off the blocks.
Early July is my split personality time. I want to get the wheat out, and want rain for everything else.
Looks mighty good sod buster you will get a new pick up this year for sure.
I’m telling myself no new pickup for a while 😅

Are you going to second crop this with beans?
Yes
Nice looking setup, Wes...With current prices, will you increase wheat acreage this fall? Will be interesting to see how much wheat gets produced in Ukraine. They may have plenty of bushels and a good crop but not able to sell it due to Soviets blocking it.
The current plan is to plant more wheat mainly so we can install field tile but plans in farming usually change lol
I drool every time I see that 1206!!! I want one!!!!! Willing to pay up if u know one for sale!!!!!
