    As a 41 year old with lots of drop side effects in last 11 years I’m having SLT on Monday. Thank you doctor. Appreciate the time it took to make this video.

      @@pripri3404 it is borderline high with drops. Was back to very high right after SLT was done. I am refusing to repeat the procedure for the past year and a half. I have been on drops for almost a year again I believe.

      @@pripri3404 it appears to have deleted my comment back to you. My pressures are still borderline high with drops. SLT did not help me at all. I’m refusing to repeat it

    I've had the SLT laser on one eye...it was so fast and easy ! I will still need to use eye drops for the rest of my life but my vision loss has stabilized . I'm 70 and severe glaucoma runs in my family. My ophthalmologist will also put in stents when I have cataract surgery in the near future.

    I’ve been on Lumigan or latanoprost drops for a couple of years and they irritate my eyes - since I’ve started I’ve gotten rosacea, and have chalazions and dry eyes more frequently. My new opthalmologist suggested I try SLT, and I just had my left eye done today. It was not 100% painless but the pain and discomfort was very minor. I go back in a month to do the other eye. I hope it works for me!

    Great video, thank you. Do I need SLT if my eyes pressure is between 12-15 after using timolol and latanoprost for over a year?

    There is nothing “easy” in treating high IOP. The drops all have side affects that really affect one’s quality of life.

    I have glaucoma, is this procedure safe without danger?

    • @ClearChoiceLaser

      Thank you for your question, Anna. All procedures have risks. The SLT procedure has an extremely low complication rate. The doctor who performs the procedure should review risks with you.

    Can you please give me info why NF leads to glaucoma.

    • @ClearChoiceLaser
      @ClearChoiceLaser  11 месяцев назад

      NF, or neurofibromatosis, is a congenital disease of benign tumorous growths that can appear on skin, nervous system, and eyes. In rare cases (1/300 patients with NF), such growths can develop within an eye or the eye socket tissues surrounding the eye, leading to obstruction of aqueous outflow and to a rise in eye pressure.

      Dear Muhib,
      Prescription eyedrops could potentially help you. I can't really give a firm suggestion, however, without seeing you for an exam. Please call our office at 440-526-1974 to schedule an appointment.
