Real Book has it in a minor not c minor. Just letting you know!
Actually, the Real Book has it in G minor, while this backing track is in E minor. The first Cm7 chord is ii of the relative Bb major.
The Real Book has Autumn Leaves written for the alto saxophone, which is in the key of Eb. Here you just see it in concert pitch.
This trac is NOT in C-Minor, this ist G-Minor!
Yes, These standards don’t all open in their home key. This one opens with C- and then travels by fourths to it’s home chord.
G- is a common presentation for this, especially for students, because they’re just learning to navigate minor modes. :-)
