Unionville is a great alternative to Richmond HIll. Their quaint downtown is great for dining and walking. However, it is pricey, maybe even more than Richmond Hill for comparable homes.

Unionville is a great comparable to Richmond Hill downtown, better in some way as it's more pedestrian oriented.

My family moved to Richmond Hill in 1982. My parents sold a house they bought at Yonge & Sheppard for $50K and bought a bigger house in Richmond Hill for a whopping $120K. The town has changed so much. My parents still live there and take my daughter to Mill Pond often.

pretty spot on. I'd like to add that while theres a lot of food, theres not much to do. We got bowling, golden break, hillcrest and lots of shisha.
